  1. WHERE do I send my cash!!!! I'd even settle for a MC-9....it would be cheaper to tool.......
  2. That's a lot....but not near what I figured.....
  3. VERY nice work......I have dabbled in wooden ships. I like them.....but take so much time!!! I recently bought a Artesania Latina Galleon kit. It was sealed and about 60% off list....so I had to have it. Now to get the time. Again nice work....hope mine looks like that someday.
  4. It's due out April 1 of never!!! Same day this kit came out.......
  5. That TILT 312T kit looks interesting.....never seen it. I'd be happy to pay the 640 Yen marked on the box at then current exchange!!!!
  6. Yes....you are correct.......I had to use 'Queues' in my technical reports that it always comes out when I type!!!
  7. I have built a number of movie and TV cars and trucks......I really like this project!!!
  8. I don't think anyone said Javelin and Falcon SHARED chassis......but design queues I can say 100%......I own both 66 and 68 Mustangs and 73 Javelin....have rebuilt all three.....it's easy to see a 'family resemblance' even though there should not be one. And I agree about even stampings looking alike. Model wise......take a Mustang chassis....flip the front suspension 180 degrees and adjust WB and you have a good AMC Javelin chassis 70-74.
  9. I like and have a number of ESCI kits. Not always fantastic detail...but often cool models. AMT RC2 had a relationship with ESCI at one time.....my old mind says they bought them......but can't say for sure. If anyone could find some of the vintage Land Cruiser and other 'off road' kits, Imports and race cars.....could make some cash!
  10. Thanks for that Falcon platform site......kinda confirmed things I knew from years of working on Mustangs, Falcons and Comets. Nice to know my observations were correct!! It is a great platform for sure......have a number in the garage now!!! Also my '73 Javelin has the same platform but for a few changes....but layout is so similar!! Also interesting how this thread has brought to light some other things. Never crossed my my that a 73 Cougar and Javelin shared style queues. Never owning that gen Cougar....never crossed my mind......but I see it in these pics....... Interesting stuff guys....THANKS!!!
  11. It did take forever for them to get it to market......but it has been out for a while.....a buddy had the kit and asked every trip to the LHS!!
  12. I think the box is perfect.........forget the past and you get to relive it.......which may be where we are heading. I was noting that is was MORE correct than concerned about being PC.
  13. Reminds me of the film 'Rat Race'!!!!
  14. NOT a very PC box is it!!!!! I have a number of 1/24 TILT car kits.
  15. I had many of those.......but when Hot Wheels came along....we destroyed most of the Matchbox. I was a Hot Wheels test kid......spent a day 'playing' with then unknown Hot Wheels and was paid with a bunch of cars and track before they were in stores....so I was lured away from the MBX....too bad...wish I had them now!!! Nice collection!
  16. It's EASY to keep the peace.......I buy a model.....she buys a ball of yarn.
  17. There was a store right up the street from my brothers house in Columbus.......LOVED the store......reminded me of old school drug stores I knew growing up. But it closed early this year. I did get some great model buys there. Too bad they are gone from the area.
  18. I like your design and craftsmanship........but the craftsmanship blows me away!!!!! I like it even though it cost me money........I have to buy one of those cutters!!
  19. The only part Mike got wrong on that film was the timing.........it's almost here.....not hundreds of years away.......... Beef Supreme will be famous soon and guitar armys will become common.
  20. Thank you!!! I love 'her'..........
  21. JAVELIN.........my vote is tainted by what is in my barn.....but I prefer Javelins over AMX......but I like to be different.......
  22. My two too....... The Elliott Torino sits on a Mongram Thunderbird chassis and the S&H car rides on ARII wheels and tires.
  23. Very nice work....I have the kit........yet to attempt!
  24. Thanks Dave D!!!!
