R2 kits are being made in the USA too......not all....but many newer issues are.

alps printer does not do anything more than print. What you need is a graphics program.....but even that will not create clear image from a fuzzy one.

Atlantis Models has bought another lot of tooling/molds.....
Dave Van replied to Dave Van's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
Atlantis did get some TD....but it was stuff Revell had not made in years. Vandal, Beer Wagon, TJ Taxi, Rommel's etc, all have been run in the past few years and thus were in China. All TD tools Atlantis got were in ILL. I hope some day Atlantis can buy the TD tools as I think Revell and TD look to be done. -

Atlantis did buy some tooling from R2 but details were not disclosed. It would make sense R2 would sell these molds......but only Atlantis knows for sure. -

Tim Flock Hudson Hornet
Dave Van replied to fordf-100's topic in Stock Cars (NASCAR, Super Stock, Late Model, etc.)
Very well done!!! Looks good to me. This kit is special to me. I was working for Model King when this kit was purposed. I got to work on the kit development AND as Ms Flock was a neighbor I set up the licensing and did the decal artwork. Tim would like it!!! -
That's good.....his stuff is GREAT!!

Got to talk to Model King/Dave yesterday. Talked about what is coming from MK/Moebius and while things move slow in todays hobby world (entire world) things are still rolling. The best thing to do is support MK/Moebius. LOTS of GREAT kits in the early stages that will be very popular. But biggest thing is the wait.............

Started playing with Hot Wheels and Matchbox again….
Dave Van replied to Joe Handley's topic in Diecast Corner
HW & MBX are still cheap fun. As a kid I was a Hot Wheels tester before they came on market. As payment I got a set, the track, clamp and car before anyone I knew.........Mattel did it as 'PAY' but they were smart as it caused a HUGE BUZZ!! My first HW was a Deora made in USA!!!! I have collected ever since and have every car I ever got!! Custom HW and MBX are a cheap hobby!! A Roush IMSA Cougar made from a NASCAR Thunderbird. -
The kit in the lower left had a pretty decent full race option. You build up a full roll cage on the chassis, deleting the interior tub. Made GREAT short track and road race start. Hope that stuff.....and some of the IMSA body panels are included.

Not for the faint of hear...
Dave Van replied to Daddyfink's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
The Duke's photo is old and Photoshop created. The Daytona and Superbird look real......If mine I'd gotten them out. -
CA has a pretty short life is not sealed perfect and kept in Fridge when not using. I use blue cap Gorilla Glue, it's cap seals and keeps the nozzle open. It lasts long enough I have used all the glue before it goes bad and it's sold every where!

Nice work! I like FnF models...many more than the films!

Pretty cool Dirty Mary Crazy Larry video.
Dave Van replied to Mike C.'s topic in The Off-Topic Lounge
Sorry I was not clear........ My Charger shown is the new tool R2 'snap' Charger. My original Dirty Mary used the very old Charger kit which was just the MPC Charger Daytona kit with the Daytona nose removed. MPC failed to put the tunnel back light in after converting the Daytona to a 'Charger' making a '500' but without the 500 grille!!!! The kit was a mess for a long time. Millions of Duke's kits were run with the wrong body in order just to meet demand! Thanks
