  1. Here is a link to photos I took at the Monterey Historics when all the still existing Chaparrals were present Chaparral album | Phildaupho | Fotki.com, photo and video sharing made easy.
  2. Somehow missed this one. Very good looking build. I never had a full detail Chezoom. That is one cool looking chassis.
  3. Very nice looking model. Refreshing to see a stock build. 55's were such good looking cars.
  4. I really like everything about your builds. Those wheels on the truck are absolutely gorgeous and perfect.
  5. Your sedan delivery collection is spectacular.
  6. Thanks James Thanks Dave Thanks Ken - your experience was so much like mine. It may have been the fall of 1967 that myself and three friends attended a major racing event at the Westwood Circuit outside Vancouver BC. At the Sports Club of BC booth at the Pacific National Exhibition one of my friends had put his name in for a draw that would give lucky spectators a ride in a racecar for fast laps around the track during the lunch break at the big race. We were all excited when we heard his name called to come to the pits for his ride. Wanting to share in his experience we all went with him and lucky for us three of the people whose names were chosen did not show up so we volunteered to take their places. There was a mad scramble to get to the most desirable race cars. I thought I had really missed out when all that was left was a Mini Cooper S at the back of the grid. The driver was determined to make my experience memorable by demonstrating how he could get ahead of the more powerful cars through the corners.
  7. I was the passenger in a Cooper S sort of like this one back in 1967 for a few high speed laps of a road circuit, The driver was passing Corvettes through the curves. It was very exciting. This model was built pretty much out of the box from the excellent Tamiya kit. However, I did convert it to left hand drive, reverse the windshield wipers, drill out the steering wheel, make a straight through exhaust with aluminum tubing, eliminate the backseat and add a roll bar. To give it a more race car look, the bumpers were left off. I did not attach the roof top to allow better viewing of the interior. The paint is Tamiya Coral Blue.
  8. Enjoyed looking at the photos of your model. I always considered the XJR-5 a very handsome race car.
  9. Two very sharp looking Shelby's Great liveries
  10. Great looking model of a Lola t-70 which maybe the best looking sports racing car
  11. Turned out fabulous. Great looking period drag sedan.
  12. Sticker shock in Canada - $110 Canadian at local hobby shop !! Until I saw this I had considered buying the kit as I have always liked the first gen S10 and previously built a model for my wife of her much missed garden truck from a Cyclone kit.
  13. Great looking Corvette. What paint did you use for the Penske blue?
  14. Good looking race Corvette C8. I started working on a GTD conversion but gave up when I realized how different the body is. Your model certainly captures the spirit of the C8R.
