You built yourself a very cool jalopy. There is a quite a large group of jalopy style cars that routinely race at Western Speedway near Victoria. They are mostly powered by inline six cylinder engines but they can have flathead V-8's

Thanks Steve Thanks Bernard - I always enjoy reading your comments Ha Ha Thanks Tom. Thanks Ray Thanks David Thanks Geoff - The paint is Humbrol Mediterranean Blue. The real car was painted an unidentified mid-fifties blue that is somewhere between grey and this color. It looks different in every photo I looked at. Thanks Chris Thanks Greg Thanks Rob Thanks David I am pretty sure Tom Gloy is coming to Deuce Days next month and hope he will bring his Lo-Boy again so I can have a closer look this time.

Thanks Curtis - Yes I agree about the difficulty of photographing black. I have also had problems with red. Think I need a better camera that has a broader amperage range. -

Here a couple more views that I really like. Forgot to mention the reason why I used a reddish background on previously posted photos is because the full scale car was photographed with a similar background for The Rodder's Journal. -

Thanks Curtis - I have always liked seeing engines through the louvers on full scale hot rods so wanted to try and replicate that. I am kind of disappointed with how dusty these photos turned out so plan to take some more. -
