  1. I like this very much.It reminds of a t-shirt I bought in Bali many years ago. I have the Gunze 1/24 version but it is so small.
  2. Very attractive T-Bird
  3. Yes I agree. I had not looked at The Grand Sport book for a very long time. What I was really meaning is that it did not have the side louvers like the hood in the kit representing other versions of the GS. I have a resin hood from Historic Racing Miniatures called a Nassau Hood which is definitely like the Mecom car.
  4. Very sharp traditional hot rod. I agree that both the fendered and non-fendered versions of this kit can produce great looking and distinctive curbside models with a nice paint job and some different wheels.
  5. WOW. Great looking model. I especially like the livery and how you can see the spare tire through the louvers. I have long been fascinated by the Carrera both the original and the later rally version.
  6. This Chaparral white version of the Grand Sport has always been my favorite and the one I would build if I ever get around to. Your model certainly looks very nice in the photos. I was never sure if the hood on this version was solid or tapped so thanks for clearing that up. I do believe it may of had a scoop rather than the vents.
  7. Lots of fun. Cool car with a lot of cool dudes and babes in the background.
  8. Classic Deuce Coupe with a 60's vibe. The antenna is a nice touch and purple & lavender were certainly the quintessential custom colors in the early sixties.
  9. I had a Switcher 32 Sedan and I am aware of an issue that came with both Sedan and Phaeton bodies
  10. Thanks guys and I agree the 57 Ford kits are very well engineered. I was impressed and sure hope a Ranchero will eventually be issued. I contemplated doing a conversion but realized the back window would be difficult to properly replicate.
  11. All American had a number of beautiful models of classics. You certainly did this one justice.
  12. Fantastic build of a very cool car.
  13. I guess being strictly a drag car there is no need for headlights !!?? I used the headlight covers from the AMT '49 Ford
  14. Thanks guys. It was a fun build especially learning about the current car and the original.
  15. Does anyone know the identity of this car? I cannot make out the description. Looks like it would make a cool street rod !!
  16. Looks fast all right!!
  17. It is good to see Revell North America is alive and will be re-issuing a bunch of kits. Although it may have been done elsewhere I think it is time we do a poll of additional kits we would like to see re-issued and send the results to Revell. I started a list of kits I figure modellers would want to see need on the list and it has already grown quite long. Certainly on my personal list would be the Model A twins and the rest of the 32 Ford Deuce line-up.
  18. This is fantastic. Absolutely beautiful model. Very well built. I had no idea Ebbro had a kit of this car. A local vintage car racer has a full-scale one in his collection which I have seen.
  19. Definitely built to concours d'elegance standards.
  20. This 57 Ford Faux Sedan Delivery was built as a tribute the faux Sedan Delivery the editor of Canadian Hot Rods magazine built built as a tribute to the real 57 Sedan Delivery his dad drag raced back in the last century. The model started out as a Secret Santa kit project that had to be completed in less than one month.
  21. That is one tuff looking Deuce.
  22. Thanks Travis - After lengthening the frame and putting the engine with belts and pulleys in place I considered taking 2mm out but once the axle was in place I noticed the bottom pulley would interfere with the axle. Things don't always work out in scale and when kit bashing as they do in the full scale world.
  23. When checking out how the engine would fit I discovered the blower pulleys and belts would require a minimum of an extra 3mm so to be on the safe side I lengthened the frame 5mm ahead of the engine mounts. Because the wheelbase was reduced by about 3mm due to the axle being located behind the spring I think the result gives the model better proportions. For its age I must say I am very impressed with the Beatnik Bandit Oldsmobile engine although I used the 6-71 Blower from the Revell Willys. Everything is currently being held togehter by masking or double faced tape so alignments are not accurate
  24. Bizzarro yet cool but also very well done
  25. Everyone is sure digging your 57 Olds. Me too. I drove across North America in the back seat of my parents Super 88. It still looked good when we arrived on the west coast but when my dad traded it in on a new 62 Galaxie 500 it turned out the Olds was rusting from the inside out!! I think it had had a respray. Pretty amazing how quickly cars got old back in those days !!
