  1. Good looking Street Rod. Those Monogram kits provide a great starting point for Deuce Roadster build.
  2. I love these annual review posts. You built some great looking models this year. I especially like your Wagon Rod and the changes you made. Gorgeous wheels.
  3. You had a great year at your bench. My favourite is the Eldorado.
  4. Seasons Greetings Claude. Great to see all your builds in one place. There are a few I missed first time around for example the jet boat which I really like. I will be looking forward to everyone else's annual compilations posts.
  5. Very impressive build of a car and model you do not see very often. JoHan sure made some great kits.
  6. Thanks Jeff
  7. This Toyota Corolla GTS [AE86] was built to resemble the car that was assigned to me at a driver training race school many years ago. The model is largely based on the full detail Aoshima Toyota Sprinter Trueno AE86 supplemented with parts from the Fujimi Trampio Levin Group-A race car. ALTERATIONS AND ADDITIONS BODY- Modified to more closely resemble the North American version especially in front with the bumper area lowered about 3mm and turn signals relocated. The orientation of the wipers was reversed INTERIOR – Converted to left-hand steering. Rear seating area and self replaced with stripped out assembly from the Fujimi kit which also supplied the steering wheel, passenger seat and roll bar to which extra braces were added. A parts box racing seat was installed with a 5-point harness. ROLLING CHASSIS – The suspension was lowered with wheels from the Fujimi kit. The exhaust from the catalytic converter back was removed and replaced with a side exit pipe. ENGINE COMPARTMENT – A cone filter replaces the stock intake and some components such as the master cylinder were swapped side to side for left hand drive. A shock tower brace was added while the battery was relocated to the trunk area.
  8. I am really enjoying this thread. Many great looking six bangers. Here are 4 of my 6 cylinder engines. Weber carbed in a sectioned Wagon-Rod Kit engine in sectioned 41 Chev truck Two Chev 6-cylinder engines joined to make a '37 Cadillac V-12 for an early custom replica
  9. Thanks guys. These A86 Toyotas have become very popular world wide. I have spotted a couple being modified near by.
  10. Far out. I am a big fan of Canadian specific cars. As a kid my family had a 1953 Canadian Pontiac. While on a summer holiday in New England USA the car needed a new muffler. At the repair shop when the car was put up on the hoist the mechanic said "This ain't no Pontiac, its a Chevrolet !!"
  11. Magnificent model and photos of an incredible car.
  12. This Toyota Corolla GTS is based on the Aoshima Trueno. Alterations were made to make it more like the North America version such as converting to left-hand steering, modifying the front bumper/grill/turn signals, reorienting the windshield wipers and relocating some engine compartment components. Additionally the car was a given a tuner treatment being lowered with after market wheels, some under-hood enhancements and a race car interior.
  13. Congratulations- Gorgeous. Fabulous build. Very well done
  14. This appears to a 36 Ford body placed on top of a snowmobile chassis solely to attract attention but kind of cool to see none the less.
  15. Very good looking MB
  16. Perfect color for a 34
  17. Very cool van and a great bunch of photos
  18. Thanks everyone. I really appreciate your comments. I have moved on to try and finish one more white race car before Christmas
  19. This is a very interesting thread and got me thinking of all my starts and stops in the hobby. The only thing I have remaining from my first era of model car building in the early 1960's is a grainy Brownie camera black and white photo of a '62 Thunderbird AMT Styline custom. My oldest surviving model car is this 1/12 Tamiya Wolf F-1 built after attending the 1979 Spanish Grand Prix and wanted to learn about the construction of the current F-1 cars. I eventually got back into the hobby on an ongoing basis around 1994 and have most of the models I have built since then.
  20. I have been wanting to build a grape 36 3W. You beat me to it. Good job.
  21. Stunningly attractive Skyline. Great photography as well.
