  1. Another great Deuce in the making I am sure.
  2. Well built. If it was full scale with that engine it would surely have won a match race against the Ts of Ivo and Grabowski.
  3. You did a wonderful job building this relic. It really looks fabulous.
  4. OK I am an hour late on the end of April Fools but here is a 1/1 Gulf Livery Lamborghini Tractor
  5. I agree - "nice little kit". I was looking at one in my stash just yesterday and contemplating a build. Yours looks great in grape
  6. Wonderful to see this piece of model car history. It looks so right.
  7. I have been a fan of Woodies since I first heard the Jan & Dean song Surf City with the line – I bought a ’34 wagon and we call it a woodie”. For many years I dreamed of owning a 49-51 Ford Woodie. The Rod & Custom article on Doug Carr and his ’51 Ford Woodie lead to visit his Wooden-Carr shop where he produced the wood pieces for Woodie restorations. When I realised I was never going to own a real Woodie, I decided to try to build a model of a ’49 Ford Woody. This was over 30 years ago when car modelling was not my main hobby although I had built model cars when I was a kid and over the years a few models of cars I owned. I was very satisfied with the resulting model but it now looks a little crude. To get a Surf City '34 Woody I converted a '32 Speedwagon This 1950 F-1 Woody was based on a rendering in Canadian Hot Rods magazine. The wood paneling comes from a Cuban cigar box. This '48 Ford Woodie was inspired by a 1/1 Woodie I have seen a number of times which has a full Corvette chassis and power train. My model is mounted on the Art Morrison chassis from the AMT Wagonrod and has an LS engine disguised as a flathead. It has real wood paneling. I built this '32 Ford Woodie for a display of the thirteen varieties of '32 Fords at a Deuce Days in Scale show. It combines the Rev/Mon 1/24 '31 Ford Woody with the cowl, hood, grill shell and fenders from the 1/24 32 Ford Roadster. It has a Rochester Fuel Injected Corvette engine. The side curtains were made from medical tape. Real wood was used for the paneling. The next Woodie I build will be the '49 Mercury. A local guy has a beautiful green one. The roof is removeable to display the interior and headliner.
  8. Recent Woody posts encouraged me look to see if I could find a thread where modelers could post their Woodie builds. This may have been done before but my search did not turn up a thread devoted to Woodie/Woody builds so I have started this one. I think it would be cool to see lots of Woodies in one place, like the 1/1 annual Wavecrest Woodie Meet in Encinitas California.
  9. Love both of your Cortinas. Very well built. I have a resin Series 1 Lotus Cortina to build someday so yours are inspirational.
  10. Excellent. Your model brought back memories of the day I saw one of these Hondas in the teachers parking lot and was blown away when I found out it belonged to the my chemistry teacher who was the last person in the world that I would suspect as the owner of such a cool car.
  11. Great model. I love shoebox Fords. Great conversion to a two-door sedan. I especially like the grill and front bumper.
  12. Fantastic to see your van finally under glass. Both exterior and interior look wonderful and ready for a road trip.
  13. Very well done. I especially like the wheels
  14. Here is another which was built during the billet era a quarter century ago for the car modelling column in Street Rodder. It is based on the Speedwagon with the woodie panels and back side windows filled. It has a fully chromed Corvette C4 ZR-1 LT5 engine and Boyd wheels.
  15. This one is based on the Wagon Rod. It has been sectioned, headlights are '39 Ford, the woodie panels were filled and it has an in-line Chevy 6 with Weber side drafts.
  16. Gorgeous build.
  17. Very well done and extremely cool. Definitely room for golf clubs in the frunk !!
  18. Fantastic build of in my opinion one of the best looking Formula One cars and liveries of all time. I still have the 1/43 diecast I bought as soon as it was available back in the day.
  19. Absolutely fabulous. This is an inspiration for me to finally build my Perry's Resin 333 which is a nice kit but nothing like this,
  20. I much appreciate your great comments. It was a project I had contemplated for many years and finally everything came together to allow me to get it done.
