  1. Thanks David for your suggestion. I have decided to separate the wheel tubs from the floor pan and attach them to the pickup floor and will definitely use your suggested molding on the side panels. Seeing as the pick up bed area is the most significant aspect of this project I may as well try to make it as true to the actual Ranchero as I can.
  2. Thanks Misha - Happy New year to you
  3. Thanks David - Until I took these recent photos I was not planning to attach the wheel tubs to the floor but I may reconsider Thanks Jim
  4. Since I originally posted this WIP I have redone the pickup area. - The cab side door panel areas were separated from the rear side panels - A section of the removed roof now forms the rear bulkhead of the interior as the roof of course is the same shape as the lower frame of the rear window under which a small shelf was added - A new pickup floor was fabricated from smooth and grooved Evergreen styrene sheets to look more like an actual Ranchero floor - The forward pickup bed bulkhead is now a flat piece of styrene with a couple of sizes of half round Evergreen rod added below the lower window frame to simulate that area on an actual Ranchero - All the pieces of the pickup bed except the wheel tubs were glued together and to the body with the seams puttied which still need finessing.
  5. I sure like your Supra - something I have wanted to do
  6. You may have set a record for model cars built in 12 months. Congratulations on your 16 very interesting and well done builds
  7. Great to see all your 2021 builds in one place some of which I am seeing for the first time. I love your creativity and excellent execution. Looking forward to your 2022 creations.
  8. WOW That is quite the production line and all are very well built
  9. Great bunch of builds. All very well done. I sure like the first one - always had a soft spot for Scouts.
  10. Thanks Steve - Being retired helps and for some reason there seemed to be more free time 2021 !!?? All the best to you and look forward to seeing you when things warm up.
  11. Thanks for the travel advise. I be travelling for pleasure and have often taken a project to work on in the campsite. Thanks everyone. I really appreciate your comments and I am overwhelmed with the positive response to my models. I currently have a project on the bench which I hope to post a WIP update before the end of the year and get it completed early in 2022.
  12. I certainly fully agree with you. It is hard to keep up with all the posts, trying not to miss anything. In a way it would be great if there was a single thread for posts of 2021 builds.
  13. Thanks very much everyone. I really appreciate your comments and Merry Christmas to all. The paint on the Sam Barris dark green Merc is Alclad Emerald Green Kandy over silver and the red on the Mazmanian Willys and Corvette is Alclad Kandy Apple Red over gold
  14. Thanks everybody and to answer Andrew's question - the open wheel race car is the Tamiya 1/20 Ferrari F2001 as it ran at Monza in tribute to the 911 victims.
  15. 2021 was definitely one of my most productive years building model cars. There was always a project on my bench. I am hoping to do some traveling in 2022 so I expect my total to be less this time next year. Best regards to everyone on the forum and the people keeping Model Cars magazine going.
