  1. Thanks Russell Thanks Carl
  2. Extremely well built Beautiful
  3. I really enjoyed reading your post and seeing your model. I have always considered the lightweight the best looking E-Type
  4. Your model deserves all the preceding comments with which I concur.
  5. Great rendition of a classic kit which I built when it was first released over 60 years ago. Yours is infinitely better !!
  6. Very convincing. Would fit into the Field of Dreams on the Rust Valley Restorers TV show.
  7. The Model A beam axle is actually up to 7mm wider than the 32 Ford tube axle from hub to hub depending on how the brakes are mounted whether disc or drum as can be seen in the photo. I have used the Model A axle on two Deuce builds and in both cases had to make sure the rear axle was of the appropriate width.
  8. The Model A kit beam axle has a wider track than the Deuce kit so if that is used a new or revised rear axle is needed.
  9. @Speedpro 's '29 Cab Pickup is surely going to be one of the finest ever built in scale. Looking forward to it Under Glass.
  10. Great project. Enjoyed reading the background and your connection to this very impressive kit. I know it will be immaculate when you perform your magic on it.
  11. Great project. The body in the MPC looks very nice. I was not aware of this kit.
  12. I am really looking forward to this kit being available. It's kind of funny - I have built built three Duval Deuce Roadsters - two using the cowl and Duval windshield from the AMT Phantom Vickie and one using the great Duval windshield and roof from Replicas & Miniatures so I will likely be inclined to use a different windshield when I eventually build this kit. I am really favoring like the custom So-Cal windshield. I managed to fabricate one a few years ago but would sure like to have one available in a kit or from the after-market. The owner of the real car now has that model so I could not even make a master. And yes I sure wish they could have mastered a new beam axle, even better a drilled beam axle. Maybe with the next revision !! I should mention the Model A kit beam axle has a wider track than the Deuce kit so if that is used a new or revised rear axle is needed.
  13. What fun build and so well done. Kids [and grown-ups] are going to love seeing at Model Car Shows.
  14. One of the most awesomely gorgeous racing cars ever and maybe one of the most awesomely gorgeous model racing car ever
  15. Thanks Mike. Here is a photo of the underneath
  16. Thanks Bob - Narrow tires sure help the traditional look
  17. Thanks David - The McMullen Hi-Boy was featured in Rodder's Journal which used the same format to list all the components of the car so I wanted to do the same.
  18. Thanks Ray Thanks Claude - I checked out images on-line of the D100. Very cool. You should build a model of that truck. Thanks Dennis - Once I got over the disappoint of not been able to more accurately pull off the flames and pinstriping I am very pleased with how the model turned out. Thanks Larry Thanks Steve - I hope to finish off one more 32 before Deuce Days in Scale Thanks Bill - See below for a drag chute photo. The McMullen Roadster was also on a record album cover with a drag chute. I think the car was then powered by a 427 Ford and had revised rear suspension. It may have even been the second version McMullen built. Thanks Chris Thanks Greg - I found the back dating to old school was the most interesting part of this build Thanks Jim
  19. I did complete my McMullen inspired tribute Deuce Hi-Boy and it is now Under Glass
  20. This Deuce Hi-Boy is in no way presented as being a replica of the McMullen ’32 Roadster but was definitely inspired by it and is a tribute to that iconic hot rod. I did try to duplicate as many of its distinctive features as I could but fell short with the flames and pinstriping. Building this model was definitely a very educational and entertaining experience. 21. Another fantastically well built racecar from your workbench.

Deuce Days in Scale is the third edition of a model car show that is part of the every three years huge outdoor car show in downtown Victoria BC featuring the largest gathering of '32 Fords as well as hundreds of pre-1952 cars. The model car show also has an emphasis on '32 Fords but also welcomes 1972 and earlier model cars of all sorts.
  23. Tuff looking Deuce Coupe. Well built. You nailed all the significant ingredients of the recipe.
