  1. You can count on it. I plan to take lots of photos.
  2. Love the Color. Great looking Deuce.
  3. Thanks everyone for your comments. Two weeks from today is Northwest Deuce Days - which in past editions has been the largest gathering of 32 Fords anywhere. Me and my buddies will be putting on a model car show at the same time so it is going to be a fabulous day.
  4. Keep up the great work. Looking forward to seeing this Deuce finished or not at Deuce Days in Scale.
  5. This Deuce Coupe was built in the early 1960’s style with a Chevy theme when Candy Apple Red with lots of chrome and white was a popular combination for hot rods that spent more time at car shows then cruising. Other sixties indicators are the narrow white walls, drag slicks, hubcaps and the higher stance. The Chevy theme includes the 348 tri-power W-engine from the AMT ’59 El Camino which also supplied the hubcaps. The ’58 Biscayne taillights are from the Ala Kart as is the coil suspension, axles, exhaust system and steering wheel. Evergreen V-groove styrene was used underneath and on the running boards to simulate upholstery for a car show display look and to go with the Replicas & Miniatures tuck and roll interior. Additionally, the door handle holes and cowl vent were filled and the door hinges were removed. Inspired by the Mazmanian Willys, the rear and side window are tinted red. The paint is House of Kolor.
  6. I always like seeing builds of Dan Gurney race cars and yours is fabulous.
  7. This is my most recent Deuce roadster built in preparations for the Deuce Days in Scale Model Car Show in Victoria BC Canada July 17. It is a tribute but not a total replica of the McMullen Deuce.
  8. Really like the combination of the neat rear bumpers, side pipes and big diameter wheels/low profile tires a basically stock body.
  9. Cool traditional mild custom with very today wheels
  10. I gotta say the patriotic tri-color looks very good on your Deuce.
  11. Great project. Looking forward to seeing the parking lot filled with cars.
  12. Thanks Gregg for sending a replacement 212 for the one that got lost in the North America postal system. Great issue. Looking forward to 213.
  13. Dazzlingly attractive !!
  14. Very well built vintage stock car. Well done.
  15. Beautiful model Tim. I certainly agree with your statement "one of the very most talented model car builders to ever pick up an X-Acto knife, Mr. Juha Airio. " I was introduced to his models at a GSL many years ago. Do you know if he is still building?
  16. Thanks Bruce for your great comment.
  17. Thanks Adam Thanks Bill for your comments as I definitely consider you and Dennis very knowledgeable rodders Thanks Tim - I always appreciate your perceptive comments. Now that the model is completed and on the shelf I am beginning to see it in its own right more than a replica perhaps because of its own distinctive flames.
  18. I am wondering if there are other Canadians who have not yet received #212. A friend who lives not far away got his a couple of weeks ago so I am worried mine has gone missing. I have been a subscriber since #1 so I do not want to miss an issue. I have emailed the magazine but have not got a reply.
  19. Radical for sure and extremely well executed.
  20. WOW - what a show - incredible models - thanks for the photos
  21. until

Hi Paul - That is an interesting idea which I will have to give some consideration.
  22. Another great looking hot rod by Boyd doing double duty as a tow vehicle for that neat looking midget.
  23. I built an Ala Kart last year and corrected the engine issue and a few other issues.
