  1. I just did a photo shoot on the Ertl Havoline and Chevron wreckers for the diecast section. Should have it up soon.

    Quick Fix

That is Awesome! I agree on the od tires, over the top.
  3. Looks Great Jonathan. Don't pay attention to those guys, you will get the last laugh at the meeting
  4. Check ebay, there used to be a seller selling a lot of about 12 different nozzles like that. I had them saved for along time but never bought them. Kevin Smith a modeler from Ohio, was working on an adjustable spray nozzle at one time, don't know if he ever got it to work.
  5. I tried that spray Alclad years ago and did not have good results, rubs off real easy. It's made to paint the inside of clear body RC cars than painted black over to of it. Alclad told me it was not for use over the black but I had to see myself. I remember asking why the regular stuff didn't come in spray cans but don't remember what the reason was. Maybe they have changed it by now, would like to hear from someone using it. You do have to wonder how they can sell the 1oz bottle for $8.00 and sell a spray can of 3oz for only $15.00 Airbrush VS Rattle Cans I did think of another reason why the airbrush is better than the cans ... stripes. You can paint stripes on a model with almost no ridge on the edge by spraying at 3-4 lbs pressure, you can't do that with a rattle can. I think anyone not willing to at least try an airbrush is missing out. You don't even need a compressor to try it, they sell compressed cans of air. I new a guy that used a portable air tank that he filled at the gas station.
  6. Without the internet I would have time to build something There are far more people out there NOT on the internet than most think.
  7. Ben, you would have to Google them, I have not looked into current models. We have sunshine 350 days a year so I paint big things outside.
  8. The one I have is. Any type fan that the motor is outside the exhaust fumes is good. Here's mine waiting to be used again after moving. I have had this one about eight years.
  9. Awesome! I hope Chevrolet is following this. If they had made the Camaro more like the old one, I would have one.
  10. Looking good! Love those Flatheads.
  11. I use booth as well. A lot of my stuff is large so the spray cans work best mainly as a convenience, I have a touch up gun still in the box. I really like the air brush for smaller stuff and interior tubs and pickup beds, hard spray into the corners and not over paint the rest. I do have a booth and air set up permanently. As for clean-up on the AB, I have a few of the Aztec guns that use the plastic nozzle so there is no needle. All I do is spray thinner through it and call it clean. The nozzle probably doesn't last as long as it should but at about ten dollars for a new one and the gun is as good as new.
  12. Great find Manny! If you don't mind would you tell me where this is, I kinda want the Chevy
  13. Count your blessings, you are living dangerously. Spraying flammable liquids over an open electrical motor IS dangerous, I don't care how many hobbyist do it to a save a few dollars.
  14. Probably not, when you go the external motor type the price goes up. I have the Badger and really like it.
  15. Very good tutorial. Bits like this is why I come here.
  16. Very well done! Everything needed to tell the story and painted to perfection
  17. That's it, I should have mentioned the old steel wheel. Another common item is using the empty 15gal oil drums for trash cans.
  18. That does look nice, BUT it is for water base paints only.
  19. Thanks, I'll have try that. I bought some of the clear epoxy but the amount is so small it wouldn't cure. I had success with the clear that you use over acid etched floors but I used it up and don't want another Gal. Tom
  20. Cool, How thick can this be poured? I'm making some lens in a rubber mold.

    1941 Willys

    Awesome! Love those Willys
  22. Very Nice!
  23. That engine looks awesome! Someone makes one of those punch dies for hex bolts, I have the one for round holes and it works great. For the record, Plastruck does have the hex rod, that is what I use.
  24. I use the small baggies, found at Wall Mart in the jewelry section and label them with a marker. I than just store them in the plastic shoe type boxes. I also do that with engines, chrome parts and a lot of other parts. I think the smallest bag is about 1-1/2in x 3in??
