  1. Still closed in N. Va. Going on more than 2 months now...hope that changes this Friday.
  2. That is spot on. What kits did you use? The original Little T...or it's various re pops?
  3. Always loved that box cover. I remember my bro had that kit way back in '64 when it first came out....
  4. Those little 1/32 scale Monogram Gassers build up into pretty cool models...nicely detailed for that small a scale. This is the Hemi Fiat I put together in February. Wish I could find the rest of the series...they're extremely rare. The third one in the series was a 34 Ford "Screamer" coupe.
  5. I hope updating pics is possible. I'd really like to revisit some of those builds.
  6. That's some excellent research right there.
  7. Looks kinda like my table, although mines a little more cluttered.
  8. I acquired that exact kit off eBay a few years ago...open but intact. You've done a good job with a mistreated one!
  9. Those Monogram 1/32 scale gasser series kits were some of the nicest model cars ever done in that scale. (aside from the Pyro Table Top series) Besides the "Hemi Fiat" there was a "Wild Willys" and a "34 Ford Screamer". They seem to be extremely rare these days. I lucked out and found a Fiat on eBay. Held onto it for awhile as a collector kit but couldnt resist the temptation , ended up building it and took a 3rd place at a recent IPMS event. Wish I could find the others in the series but I'm sure they would be a little rich for my blood.
  10. Revisiting this thread....the "Wolf Wagon" was an Aurora kit along with a handful of other somewhat primitive 1/32 scale kits like the "Shiftin Drifter", the "Ram Rod", the "Beatnik Box", the "Scat Cat", the "Moody Monster", the "32 Skidoo", and a few others. The box art was actually more intriguing than the contents, but you are right....they were inexpensive and captured the hot rod spirit of the times. Attached is an image of the two Monogram "49er" kits I salvaged off eBay.
  11. 3 Hobby Lobbies in my area of N.Virginia...still closed.
  12. Excellente ! Great improvisations !
  13. Well then, perhaps given the wide range of gubernatorial responses to this virus...corporate heads in Dallas or where ever have to deal with store closures on a case by case basis.
  14. Good question. Guess it has to do with individual store manager attitudes.
  15. Well....we are a Blue State now. But thats Politics.
  16. There are three Hobby Lobbys in N. Va. by my count....all closed. But the closest Michaels is open...to limited attendance. Wonder if Christian ownership of Hobby Lobby has anything to do with that...sort of like the flak Chic-Fil-A gets .
  17. My nearest Hobby Lobby in N.Virginia tried to stay open at the onset of "The Virus" arguing that it could be regarded as essential since it sells arts and crafts and school supplies for home schooled kids and fabrics that could be used for masks...didnt work...they had to close. Shame because even though their model kit selection is paltry ( mostly muscle car and truck kits and a few military subjects ) its the only place local I can buy Tamiya rattle cans ( white and gray primer only ) and the Krylon selection is pretty good, especially when you factor in those daily 40% off coupons. So Ive had to make do with what I had on hand. But I just noticed that the nearby Michaels craft store was open with limited admittance...10 at a time. Now why are they open but not Hobby Lobby? Hope it's not politics.
  18. Great , clean build of a classic Revell kit from the 60's. Know what you mean by "bored"....with this COVID-19 virus lock down I have one scratch build and two out of box projects going in my Man cave right now.
  19. My android seems to be working O.K. J.C. ..... its an old Samsung Galaxy 6.
  20. Doesn't seem that long ago I was complementing Gary on his entry into the T.R.O.G. themed Mid-Atlantic NNL show last May. Tragic.
