  1. Love the 36 Ford and that black Falcon is nice.
  2. Believe it or not, I use the hollow end of a 177 caliber pellet. Works great when I need just a little and I have about 300 of them. It's getting harder to find the flat nosed type so I bought a bunch. I also use them in my air rifle of course.
  3. Beautiful! Very precise trim work.
  4. Very nice and I haven't seen many of these in red.
  5. Got a little more done today. Chassis is detail painted but I'm gonna repaint the drive shaft in a darker metallic shade. I mix my own metallic shades by adding flat black to silver until I get the shade I want using Testors little bottle enamels. Did the lower A frames and rear axle in semi gloss black for contrast. Got most of the engine painting done and drilled it for plug wires but don't have a pic yet. I know this is pretty basic stuff but posting a WIP thread keeps me motivated.
  6. Rambo maybe?
  7. I didn't know a lot about him but remember seeing his name in print throughout the years. I spent the last two days reading everything on his website. Such a great loss to the hot rod car world. Not many like him left. RIP Pat.
  8. Thanks for the info David. I'll se what I can find for a shade of gray. I am considering a larger diameter tire but not wider for the rear.
  9. You made an outstanding model out of that old thing. The engine is beautiful. Those wheels don't look so bad on a car of that size. Oh yeah, nice interior as well.
  10. I like it. The weathering is realistic but I was digging the hub caps.
  11. I plan on putting some slightly bigger tires on the rear but want to keep it period correct so really wide tires are not an option.
  12. The recent Fordillac thread and Gustavos 49 convertible build have inspired me to pull my 49 Ford kit out of the stash and start building. Gonna build it as a sleeper with the Caddy engine and otherwise stock appearing. Even gonna use a bland color to further the sleeper appearance. The paint used are Krylon Color Maxx Gloss Khaki, Rustoleum Flat Black and Tamiya TS-17 aluminum. They were sprayed right on bare plastic with no crazing. Guess I got lucky. Basic painting done, now on to detail painting the chassis and engine. Haven't decided on interior color yet. What would have come from the factory with a body color similar to this.
  13. I like it!
  14. Nice1
  15. Nice clean model. I like the fuel injection as well.
  16. Very nicely done!
  17. I'll bet that Econoline scoots with a 289 in it. If it can get any traction.
  18. Yep, that's the one. I swear I used the exact same flame decals but mine had slicks and no whitewalls.
  19. That's just cool. First pic looks like 1:1 barn find.
  20. Another nice one! I like your building style and your choice of subjects.
  21. IIRC you posted a Vicky survivor awhile back that looked eerily like the one I built. Flames and all. Weird
