  1. It's been a couple of weeks but I have gotten some more done. Just a few under hood and body details left to add. Front bumper not glued on yet. My favorite angle. The locating tabs at the top of the windshield won't be so noticeable after the sun visors are on.
  2. Chuck is right about some of the older kits being inaccurate in ways that actually made the subject look better. The first examples that come to my mind are the 69 - 70 Mustangs from AMT and MPC. Compared to the real thing they are slightly sectioned but it looks good in scale. I always thought they looked better than the bloated looking Revellogram kits even though they are less accurate. The roof on the 90 LX kit looks more pleasing to the eye than the real thing even though it is inaccurate. IMO
  3. Very nice!
  4. Over all I would say you did pretty well.
  5. You just keep amazing me Steven. I wish I could do trim work like that.
  6. Will an Ardun flathead in a Deuce still allow the hood sides to close? I want to use the Highboy kit with the engine parts from the 50 Ford pickup.
  7. That is outstanding! I like it a lot.
  8. The interior is now done. This is all the detailing I'm going to do as I know I can't paint the silver details on the dash and console. The steering wheel rim is RAF dark earth with 2 coats of future and the pedals were done with black and silver Sharpies as well as the steering wheel spokes. I tried painting the carpet a different shade of blue and it just didn't look good so I had to repaint the interior bucket and just flat coated the carpeted part. Doesn't show up well in the pic.
  9. Deh-cal seems to be an Australian thing. I used to work with a guy who would argue all day long that Porche was pronounced porsh and he was a Car and Driver reading, pipe smoking euro car snob. You'd think he would have known better.
  10. Beautiful!
  11. That is a great model! Wonderful use of imagination.
  12. I like that a lot. Nice job.
  13. Well, I learned something new about A body Mopars while doing some Googling. It seems that Dusters and Dart / Demons have always had different shaped front wheel openings. Duster Dart Looks like the kit has modified Duster openings that were opened just a little too much. You can see the exposed chassis area that I had mentioned in an earlier post. It's hard to tell in the crappy pic but the raised lip around the opening doesn't follow all the way to the bottom rear. It's like someone just cut the piece out with a knife. Also the front wheel isn't centered in the opening.
  14. I don't want anyone to think that I didn't know what I was getting when I bought this kit. I built many an MPC kit during the 70s and at the time thought most of them were superior to AMT kits of the period. It was just a period of time when car kits were going down the toilet. Hey, it WAS the 70s! I have always thought of the 70s as the "anything goes and don't take it seriously" decade. My beef is that i was expecting round2 to do a little more tweaking on it like they have some of the other old kits.
  15. Every one of your builds look soooo nice.
  16. Very good build and nice to see one that's not red or blue.
  17. Well done Deuce! I love them slicks and if that car were real it would be LOUD.
  18. Very nice work.
  19. Beautiful!
  20. Another outstanding model from the master.
  21. That looks great! I built one of those back when they were new.
  22. My, oh my this is looking good.
  23. I'm liking this one a lot!
