Well all right! Been waiting to see some of these built and yours looks just fine to me.
The front tires look OK but I'm going to use the old AMT front tires that come in the Double Dragster kit.
If you put some flat clear on the carb bowls and they won't look so blingy, or it could be just the lighting in the pic.
I am pretty familiar with funny cars from this era but my memory fails me right now.
1. The kit comes with a quick change rear axle. Were they still using them during this time period?
2. Was this car a pearl white or just solid white? I'm thinking pearl since it was so common during the Nat Quick era.
One detail that no one has mentioned are the front tires. They will need to be swapped for some tall skinny ones which means the kit wheels may not work.
Now THIS I like! It's nice to see something unusual.
A couple of observations - first off, I don't think the Chevy II four cyl was slanted and second, that Pontiac four cyl would go good in an Opel GT.
Here's a couple of new details added. The rocker panel trim really sets her off and pulls things together visually.
I mentioned earlier in this thread that the chrome was bad on the bumpers so I got replacements from Revell and black washed the grille.
Some pics show the grille inserts as all black but I prefer it like this.
My next move is to figure out a way to remount the sun visors.
