  1. Traded my 2009 Focus for this about three months ago.
  2. The Christmas Story.
  3. Just beautiful! My favorite of all the Blue Max cars.
  4. I love every one of them.
  5. Well all right! Been waiting to see some of these built and yours looks just fine to me. The front tires look OK but I'm going to use the old AMT front tires that come in the Double Dragster kit. If you put some flat clear on the carb bowls and they won't look so blingy, or it could be just the lighting in the pic.
  6. Thanks, I didn't know about the earlier post.
  7. I just got the Revell 68 Beetle kit and want to do a Baja Bug with the chopped off front and rear fenders. Does anybody make resin parts to do this?

  9. I am pretty familiar with funny cars from this era but my memory fails me right now. 1. The kit comes with a quick change rear axle. Were they still using them during this time period? 2. Was this car a pearl white or just solid white? I'm thinking pearl since it was so common during the Nat Quick era.
  10. That's one of the best black paint jobs I have ever seen!
  11. Actually, I think the old AMT skinny Firestones may be about right. Your mockup looks god.
  12. One detail that no one has mentioned are the front tires. They will need to be swapped for some tall skinny ones which means the kit wheels may not work.
  13. You are doing some good work on this old kit. I built one awhile back and did some of the same mods.
  14. Great! looks like you did the lowering job on it.
  15. They all look good. I really like the paint on the Willys.
  16. Now THIS I like! It's nice to see something unusual. A couple of observations - first off, I don't think the Chevy II four cyl was slanted and second, that Pontiac four cyl would go good in an Opel GT.
  17. Nice paint.
  18. That looks really good and nice color scheme.
  19. Here's a couple of new details added. The rocker panel trim really sets her off and pulls things together visually. I mentioned earlier in this thread that the chrome was bad on the bumpers so I got replacements from Revell and black washed the grille. Some pics show the grille inserts as all black but I prefer it like this. My next move is to figure out a way to remount the sun visors.
  20. Nice to see this one finished. Looks great!
  21. Ooooh, I like this one! Did you have to modify the shock towers to get the engine in?
  22. That does look pretty nice.
  23. You scared me for a second Harry. At first glance I thought your new avatar was Rush Limbaugh!
  24. Looks like a nice and clean build so far. The tires will look more realistic if you sand the tread.
