  4. Never saw it at the Henderson, NV B&N . I'll check this weekend. G
  5. That is very unique and as Ralph said, original. I like that a lot. G
  6. A bit o' knowledge if I may. The term was originally "Paddy's wagon". Essentially most cops before the turn of the century were immigrants. The old "Irish need not apply" thing you know. PD's took the Irish and their European brethren in vast numbers. (As a side note, interestingly enough, St Louis has a history of Eastern European, Syrian and Lebanese coppers dating back to nearly the inception of the agency in 1859). but i digress...........i Cincinnati developed the "patrol wagon" concept in the late 1880's. This morphed into the Paddy Wagon or, as known in my in my town, a "Black Mariah". Seems St Louis' wagons were built at a shop known for building hearses. Same concept except the passenger in one is lying down, and in the other sits up, and they were black. G
  7. That is cute as all get out. I like that a lot. G
  8. Oh yeah, I'm watching this one. G
  9. That is the one thing the third MrsG and I did before moving to Vegas. We sold a ton of stuff before the final move. Made a big difference. G
  10. I saved it as well! Beautiful photo sir. G
  11. Wow! Editor is all screwed up. Harry I was born, raised and worked an entire career in St Louis. The only time I left was courtesy of Uncle Sam and his Misguided Children. With retirement looming large I knew it was time. Weather, taxes, housing and just general mayhem helping to decide the outcome, I took my then wife and moved to Nevada. I had planned to work part time in the casino industry but was lucky enough to score the job I have now. It isn't easy, but it's not for everyone. I'd move to northern Lake County in a heartbeat if it weren't for the weather. Now it looks like my BIL and SIL are moving out here soon anyway. They are the only reason I'd move back. G
  12. Oh man that's gorgeous! G
  13. Red and Black interior. Best of both worlds. G
  14. Anthem Coventry! I live right across from the Del Webb Middle School. Small world Eh? G P.S. Pouring down rain here right now. Still not all that chilly though.
  15. The new plant will be about 50 miles from my place. I believe they need an old retired sergeant of police to "test" the legality of the concept. G
  16. Hear hear! G
  17. It's snowing quite heavy at altitudes over 5000 ft as we speak. Mt Charleston has a foot of snow now and Red Rock is seeing white stuff in the higher elevations as well. Still too warm at my place. I'm in Henderson too, Anthem Parkway and Reunion area. I'm at about 3000 ft. G
  18. Mother blanking sniper programs used on fleabay. G
  19. Drizzling here in southern Nevada too! G
  20. While I agree with SfanGoch about the content of the curriculum, I believe at some point there should be some oversight as to minimum standars nation wide. I watched a news conference one time where the focus was on the St Louis Public School System. Seems the PS had gotten into a bind with the feds (DOE) regarding non compliance with their minimum standards. The feds, as well as the state, had given the system 18 months to bring the curriculum, the administration and the budget, to standards. The interview with the superintendant was quite revealing. His response, paraphrasing here as best as I can recall, "Well, we almost got there." Almost, after 18 months? What, kind sir, did you do for 18 months? I thought to myself, "We almost got there", as opposed to "See how good I did." had the goal been reached. This was after my oldest graduated from public school and just before the middle child began kindergarten. There's a 13 year gap between the boys.......so things had changed, dramatically. My remaining two attended Catholic schools. G
  21. Very, very nice Al. G
  22. Try a piece of scotch tape. The decals should come right off. If you do that again here's a method I just used. I stripped and repainted some resin "crates" for my Opel Blitz build because the decals did what yours did. I repainted them because I didn't like "the look" when completed. I applied the original decals on a well cured gloss coat, but they silvered when dull coated. . After repainting and re-glossing the surface, I applied the decals in a puddle of Future. They laid down real nice after brushing the excess Future over them. Dull coat and all is well. G
