  8. Missouri weather. Don't like it? Wait an hour. G
  9. Oh Ben that looks great! I love the color and the decals just set it off perfectly. Good job. G
  10. Here's the remainder as they wouldn't fit in one post. These are some of the "accessories". Cans with white crosses are water cans, the others are fuel. The four gray rhomboids are to depict the early war marking plates for the panzers. The tank number was painted on the plate and attached to the vehicles sides and rear. The rhomboid was the tactical symbol for armor in the German Army back then. Remember the crew? G
  11. I think that is just superb. A cockpit to behold! Ok no piccies last night, I'm watching the grandchildren for a few days. Chaos and panic in the Gray household! Here's where we're at as of this morning. Prodigious application of pigments yields a severely dusty finish. This is a vehicle from early on in the campaign in North Africa. I depicted what a tankk would look like due to the conditions in Libya. It's a lot different from the Pz III L in Tunisia. G
  12. Upper 80's here today. Windows and doors wide open and the ceiling fans are a turning. We had severe wind again yesterday so not a cloud to be seen. A co worker recently asked if I would ever move back to St. Louis. He's from the Quad cities and said he doesn't miss it at all. I laughed. G
  13. More more more! I've been out of town so I will have some progress reports this evening. G
  14. Now that was a show! Danno and the boys really took it to another level yesterday. The display of talent was mind boggling as was the number of entries. It was really good to meet everyone and to be able to put faces to names. I'm just happy you guys didn't toss me out. G
  15. I've known several guys who elected to be stay at home fathers. All had wives with well paying jobs and it just made sense. Hell if any of my wives had been an earner like that I would have gladly stayed home with the munchkins. I worked with a detective whose wife kept getting promoted in a phone company and moved around the country. He decided to follow her and just switch jobs or not work at all. His interview at my PD was a hoot. "Can you explain why you worked at three different PD's in three different cities in six years ?" Poor guy finally had the chance to settle down and retire with 20 years on just after I did. Good detective too. One thing is does the couple like the arrangement. If so, then who cares? G
  16. Actual first names that I have encountered in my career: Men McWillie (gimme a mcwillie, fries and a large coke please), Lemonjello (pronounced Lamonjayllo), Lavoris (I believe he had a brother named Scope), Gray, Tiberous and Male (pronounced Mallee). Women Lexus, Mercedes (and most high end rides), Female (pronounced Feemallee), Fence (?), Tyanot. There are many others, but you got me started. G
  17. Oh don't get me started. G
  18. No stuff! It takes five days for a card or letter to get from my place to the kids in St Louis. G
  19. Congratulations! Perfect "in scale" paint job on that one. Very realistic. G
  20. Oh I gave up the newer um er "stamps" after the last debacle. I just like to see the addresses, you know like : Thomas Smith Atascaloosa, Abalama and it gets there! Seriously simpler times. G
