Hello Everybody! I was able to get a little more done on the Imperial this weekend. This one is certainly turning out to be more time intensive than I first imagined it would be for such a "simple" kit. Isn't that usually the case though? Going back to the rear bumper, I sprayed it with some Spaz Stix chrome paint like I did on the front bumper with less than satisfactory results. It ended up looking like crummy silver paint. In fact, Dupli-Color chrome silver would have looked better. Since I'm still waiting for my Molotow order to come in, I decided to use foil on it instead. It took me a couple of hours but I think it came out pretty good. Oh yeah, I also painted a tint strip across the windshield. I may go back and remove a little along the lower portion as it seems to intrude a little farther into center of the windshield than I think it should. I'm also thinking that I probably shouldn't mess with it. As always, thanks for taking the time to look and please feel free to comment. David G.

No worries Tom. I was just reminded of that strange interaction a few years ago in the hobby shop. The polarizing nature of this one particular car model just strikes me as odd. I can't really think of another car model that elicits such strong negative opinions from some people. I've heard it referred to in such derogatory terms as an "abomination" to various insulting anatomical references which can't be quoted here. But as I said, no worries. Regards, David G.

Thank you Chris. The main color on the figure is Dupli-Color flat black with Tamiya TS-80 flat clear sprayed on the cape and X-22 clear brushed on the Bat emblem. The face is Testors flat tan enamel while the lips are a mix of Model Master enamels, Rot RLM 23 and Sand Beige with a bit of Testors Chrysler Engine Red. The belt is Mr. Color gold. Hello Everybody, This is the Moebius Batman Figure Kit which includes two figures, the standing one that is featured here and one intended to be mounted on the Bat-Pod. I've done enough basic work on the mounted figure to know that fitting it to my already constructed Bat-Pod will take a good bit of work. I'll detail that in a separate thread when I crack into it. In the mean-time, here is half of the Moebius Batman Figure Kit! Getting some good pictures was almost as tricky building the model itself. I'm happy with the appearance of the cape. It came out with a rich, satisfying flatness, which unfortunately doesn't that well in the photo. I took this one just for fun and I think it's actually the best shot of the group. That would be an interesting project Tom. Well, I've always liked Edsels, I even built one. Until recently, I had no idea how much of a hot-button topic this car could be with some folks. During the time I was building the one pictured above, I was chatting with one of the associates at my LHS and and mentioned what I was working on. Another customer overheard the conversation and glared at me as he growled "Why in God's name would you do that?!" This man seemed really upset, like he wanted to punch me or something. "I'm sorry....?" I asked in puzzlement. "Build one of those... those things?!" "Um, it's just a model kit." I answered. The man appeared to be so upset that one would think Edsel Ford had personally beat up and robbed his grandmother or something. He harrumphed and stomped away leaving the sales associate and me thoroughly puzzled. I'm not saying I read your response in that way Tom, it's just the firmness of your opinion that reminded me of the event. Thank you Dominik. Regards, David G.

Looks great! Excellent weathering, very convincing. Have you thought about gluing the stone to a board that could be fitted into the upper portion of the trailer to simulate the load? That would really cut down on the weight. We do that kind of thing in model railroading all the time. In fact, it's the only type of load that most open top freight cars carry. There are those operators who do what are called "live loads" complete with functioning coal tipples but they are few and far between. David G.

Wow Paul! That V-16 you bashed together looks like it might have been "borrowed" from a vintage Bugatti and updated. Impressive engineering on that! Great idea with the carpet too. David G.
