Wow! Great minds think alik.... uh, wait. Never mind! Thanks Ron, glad you like it. David G.

Thanks Mike- The decals actually changed the character of the car quite a bit. I just wish they'd taken a little more care in the layout of the ends and how they mated with the belt-line of the car. David G.

Here's a story that I'm sure many of us are familiar with: I started this kit as a quick build while I was collecting parts for another project, my 77 AMC Hornet. After opening the Pacer and claiming the front seats along with steering wheel and attached column, I felt that I needed to do something with the rest of the kit. I couldn't just let it sit there, right? The interior of this car is so tremendously visible that I felt I needed to do something to dress it up. Ultimately, I decided to build the Pacer as a vehicle inspired by a game I used to play back in the 80's, Car Wars. This would allow me to add some fun details, weapons, targeting computers etc. I had multiple difficulties with this kit, some of which I'm sure were caused by the suspension modifications I made, but I finally got it knocked together. So, here it is! I lifted the car front and rear to give an "off road" stance to match the knobby tires I selected for it. The kit decals definitely have a bold 70's vibe to them. "And a brush bar up front to complete the bill." Who needs a horn when you have a .50 cal with a roof hatch? I made a futuristic looking bar code number plate for it. Here's a bit of the detail I made for the interior. And the interior itself. If you'd like to see all the boring details, here's a link to the build thread. As always, thanks for taking the time to look and please feel free to comment. David G.

For my 55 Chevy, I made all this interior junk using various methods. For those who are interested, here is a link to the build thread. It's a rather old thread but I do go back and look at from time to time. David G.

I always enjoy seeing your work Chuck. You have a knack for capturing the gritty commercial part of transportation. David G. -
Found some time and energy to do a little work on this one. I started placing the decals. I'm going to see if I can get them to settle into the door gaps. I made a bar-code license tag I think it adds to that "Retro 70's Alternate Future" vibe. As always, thanks for taking the time to look and please feel free to comment. David G.

So, I'm thinking that the wheels weigh almost as much as the Jeep. I wonder how many Gallons per Mile he gets. David G.

Same here. It seems that he takes the unique character of a classic vehicle and smooths it all away. Kind of sucks the soul right right out of it. David G.
