  1. Excellent 80's Street Machine! Paint and detail work look great. David G.
  2. That's a fine second build! David G.
  3. Nicely done! David G.
  4. Nicely done, excellent detail work on the rear panel and taillights. David G.
  5. Thanks for the tip Dan. I did get it apart safely through a mixture of patience and persistence. It was a little tricky. David G.
  6. Thanks again for the kind comments. I think I'll try to find some hubcaps for the front wheels. From this angle, the interior looks busy enough. Lots of "future tech" bits glued to the dashboard. I'm fairly happy with the interior. As always, thanks for taking the time to look and please feel free to comment. David G.
  7. I did some work on a few cargo area accessories. They still need some highlighting to punch up the details a little, but it's a good start. I know it's not much of an update, but thanks for taking the time to look. And as always, please feel free to comment. David G.
  8. For the Hello Karl, I'm actually working on that MPC Pacer right now so I've already borrowed the seats and steering wheel from it. I was hoping to avoid modifying the seats so I've been searching for old Jeep CJ kits from that era. The old Jeeps should have seats with the proper upholstery pattern, the same center console and possibly an under-dash package shelf to boot. But the thrill is in the hunt, right? Thanks again, David G.
  9. Thanks for the information Hugo. I think I'm going to build this as curbside and focus on the interior bits and body features- spoilers and such. Right now I'm looking for some sport mirrors and AMC bucket seats and center console. Thanks, David G.
  10. Clean and crisp! Worthy of a cover photo! David G.
  11. I built one of these last year, it's a fun kit. Yours came out great! David G.
  12. Very Interesting! David G.
  13. Thanks Ron. Here's a little more for those who may be interested. I decided on color-keyed custom racing seats for the interior. The dash detail is mostly finished. I'm currently searching for a twin grip aircraft-style steering wheel. I also got some "carpet" laid down. As always, thanks for taking the time to look and please feel free to comment. David G.
  14. Spectacular work as always TĂșlio! I do enjoy the builds you post. David G.
  15. It looks like it could have been a factory-built car. David G.
  16. Very well done! David G.
  17. Hello everybody! When I started building this kit I had planned to build it as a beat-up post-apocalyptic vehicle pieced together using salvage and remnants, a la "Road Warrior". When I saw how the paint looked on the body, I liked it so much that I decided to change my plans. I switched from the "Road Warrior" universe to the "Car Wars" universe. Car Wars is a board game from the 80's set in the 2030's in which manslaughter has been decriminalized and auto manufacturers offer accessories like machine guns and smoke screens. So that moves us from a grungy lo-tech motif to a slicker high-tech look. I've started updating the dashboard with techie-looking gizmos. For those who may be interested, here is a little Car Wars background from Wikipedia and a video from the Steve Jackson Games. As always, thanks for looking and please feel free to comment. David G.
  18. I got some paint sprayed last weekend. Yeah, I know that it's the same color as the box art. What can I say, those artists pick good colors. The Duplicolor paint was a little too hot and crazed a little bit. I should be able to smooth it down and spray another coat then polish it... hopefully. Thanks again! David G.
  19. Very convincing rust and details- well done without being over done. David G.
  20. It just keeps getting better! David G.
  21. Excellent work! The car, the setting- even the figures look great. David G.
  22. Glad to see this one back on deck Darren! Looks Great! David G.
  23. Thank you all for the comments. I really do find inspiration in your feedback. I managed to fabricate a simple hinge for the pop-top. I removed the rear seat cushion and replaced it with a piece of diamond plate steel. I made the steel plate by using a piece of aluminium foil to take an impression from a parts box trailer deck. I then glued the foil to a thin piece of styrene and painted it to look a little rusty. I got the front valance glued into place. I've decided to omit the stock bumper and use a push bar from the parts box. As always, thanks for looking and please feel free to comment. David G.
