Hello Everybody! You may notice odd shadows on some of the photos for the next couple of postings. This is due some dirt that found its way onto the image sensor on my camera necessitating a trip to the camera shop for some cleaning and maintenance. They had it for about a week and after I got it back it took me a couple of days to get everything set back to my specs. Now that I have my camera back from the shop and all its settings are mostly dialed in, it's time to get back to business. A quick test view of all the interior bits together. The colors work well in person but apparently they're difficult to photograph well. I think I'll try a different background next time. Maybe adding some of the detail features will help out too. A quick shot of the dash detail... and one of those pesky shadows! As always, thanks for taking the time to look and please feel free to comment. David G.

The paint looks really good Bob. I'm still trying to wrap my mind around the pairing of that chassis and body. It sort of reminds me of one I saw years ago, a VW bug on a similar chassis. Don't get me wrong, I like where you're going with it. It's just very unique... attention grabbing. David G.

Wow! That's so small I can barely see it Randy! I would feel compelled to wear a mask when dealing with such tiny parts. Lest an unexpected sneeze send it flying off into the void to be lost for ever. David G.

It's all coming together quite nicely David. You've hit upon a good mix of colors for the interior. I'm still impressed with the look of the leather upholstery. As is Mr. Webb it seems. David G.

Hello Everybody! It's time to rejoin our original broadcast, already in progress. I actually think it's cool when threads start to take on a life of their own. With the chassis nearly complete it's time to start on the interior. Here I'm laying out the basic color scheme. The seats will make use of the Tamiya TS-60 Pearl Green that I originally bought for the body. The seat inserts will be AS-29 Gray/Green as will the carpet. In addition to those colors, the two main body colors (Tamiya TS-102 Cobalt Green and TS-7 Racing White) will be used where appropriate. I think this combination of colors will visually tie the interior and body quite nicely. That's all for this round, thanks for sticking with me on this one. David G.

I really like the wheels and the color combination you used for the interior. That engine though ? ! That engine would make for one scary sleeper! Fabulous work! David G.

The varnish really livens up the wood. It looks even better with a proper gloss on it. Curious thing about the color changing carpet. Maybe the adhesive drew the pigment from the paint? One wouldn't expect PVA to interact like that. David G.

Good call on the hood Bob. I think modeling it in the opened position looks much better than lifting the entire thing off every time you want to show the engine. Seeing your take on this makes me want to build something from this time period just to try that out. Well done! David G.

Impressive results for the burl walnut trim! Thanks for sharing your technique, I'll have to try that next time I need such a finish. I like the combination of colors you're using for the interior. Together they have a warm, dark, almost smoky feel to them. It brings to mind a faint smell of leather with just a hint of bourbon and cigars. I think Mr. Webb will be pleased. David G.

Good to know, thanks. Without the tips you provided I would have painted both the splash guards the same color as the body. Speaking of body colors, the main color on your '57 looks similar to Tamiya's Cobalt Green. Maybe a little more pine green. Cool photo BTW. Thanks again Andy. David G.
