  1. There are some on eBay - search 1/24 metal wheel lugs. I'd post the link but I'm on my phone.
  2. Already tried this when another post asked the same question. The ink printed out okay but did not dry. I'll try to find the thread... Here http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=51666&view=&hl=&fromsearch=1 You can, however, cut foil - there is a building this site, a Cadillac I think, using foil in a cutter. http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=50145&view=&hl=&fromsearch=1
  3. It prints out on paper. That seems like a quickly outdated printer form and limits what could be done, no?
  4. Thanks for the additional information Geoff. I really like Minis but really don't know that much about the history. That cut away is great too.
  5. Looks very promising. Thanks for the information.
  6. I would like to know what you think of the kit Geoff. Review section...
  7. Thanks for the link Terry. Great to see recognition like that.
  8. Very nice work Geoff. Cleanly built model.
  9. Hasegawa makes excellent quality kits.
  10. There is a Fuso truck in 1/24 - I can remember two varieties, one is a dump truck, one a flatbed?? If I can remember who makes it I will post a photo and some pics...
  11. Could replicate a recent Maaco paint job. It's just research, or lack of, that leads to using overspray when it is not needed.
  12. Interesting. I have a Mac and run Safari but I haven't updated to the new Photobucket yet. I wonder how long it will last...
  13. Great looking GTO Mike. It does look red in these photos - but still nice, clean and smooth. I second the wheels looking great - they look like the real deal. Splendid build.
  14. Second beautiful '51 posted this week! Good week. That is a really fine looking build. Great color. Everything looks nice and cleanly built. Great engine bay. Excellent.
  15. AHHHHH! NOOOO! It was looking really good too Rob! I am pressed to finish mine as well...
  16. I found this photo on my computer and searched the thread, thinking I had posted this, but couldn't locate it. Anyway, I would run through a field of thistle in my skivvies for this kit! I know it's not everyone's cup of tea, but c'mon, you have to admit, a guy with a bike and some sort of masked wrestler/super hero puppet show starting up? Who wouldn't want that?
  17. I was just looking at the lowrider version of this kit and thinking "...that's horrible, but if I could do a stock one..." That's a great build. For some odd reason, I really like models of base cars, and especially ones that, to me, shouldn't have been made into models! I am going to get one too. Color choices are great.
  18. Wow - a whole new world of drill bit options with that guy (for me anyway). Those bits look like they would be easier to manipulate with 1/8 shanks on them (and ID, since they are marked) than the standard hand drill variety. I didn't realize they made number 87 (.30 mm!) bits - just in case I need to drill a hole for a hair. HERE is the seller's aBay store (no affiliation, just saving time for others...)
  19. Interior is done. I am up against the wall on this build though!.......
  20. Tires are from the kit They are narrow - annoyingly so, but I really fought myself to keep the build simple and out of the box. No worries about the wheels, Ben. To each his own - I actually came across a reference shot of a 1:1 with painted wheels and I liked the look, so...still do! Thanks for all the comments!
  21. I like Walthers brand. I purchased some cheap kits and some of the drill bits didn't even have an edge - so you get what you pay for.
  22. That is a very good build. Actually, the last kit I built BEFORE taking a hiatus was AMTs '62. I like the color and detailing.
  23. Great build. I too like a factory stock look - but slight mods a budget minded DIY owner might have done in the day. I also like the mundane color choice - what color is it?
  24. That does look great. It's a very clean build and the color choices are very nice.
  25. Here is AMT's 1976 Gremlin. Paint is Tamiya TS-60 Pearl Green. Almost box stock - I added plug wires. This was a relatively quick build and I really just wanted a stock looking Gremlin on the shelf. There are some "gremlins" to work out in this kit, but I really enjoyed the challenge - something I would have tossed on the floor 20 years ago... The front clip was about the only kit piece that was modified - it is too wide. Rather than cut it once in the center, I cut it twice, about where the body parts separate on the 1:1 car. A blades width plus some clean up was all that was needed to narrow it properly. Most of assemblies fit rather vaguely - no real locating points for the interior tub or the frame in the body. But...I think it is what it is and I like it...
