Nice! Very nice job with the conversion, it's very clean and sharp looking build. Color looks good too. Excellent details, as always. You pull these out very quickly, how many you finish in one year? There are not many builders who build nice model cars and do that fast, but you are one of them.

That looks interesting, I will be watching for sure. You're right about the quality of Jo-Han kit, it is really excellent compared to other Jo-Han kits. Your chassis looks very good so far, and I like the paint job too. Looks good, can't wait to see more. -
Decals are now on place. I wanted to keep it quite simple, because it will not look so much different then on the Race. The starting number for the race seems to be 12, hopefully it won't be the finishing number. Also started the interior work, seats are painted Humbroll's Radome Tan.

You sure know how to paint black! Another fantastic build from your bench, even if I don't like the wheels, I like how it looks. Especially that paint is fantastic.

I don't know if some Hobby Shops there have wires and other aftermarket stuff, but one way to make wires is to stretch a piece of parts tree with heat to get small diameter wire which can be painted to whatever color you like. It works almost as easily as Aftermarket plug wires do. Or then you can simply order those wires online. I don't know where those are cheap or where they are expensive or anything like that, since I don't live in the USA. Someone else knows this better. And for the drills, I guess they can be ordered too?

Very cool! This looks like Old School Custom to me, excellent work! The paint job and color combo is excellent, engine detail is fantastic and so on. Very nice interior too.
-
Yeah, absolutely! This kit is very good quality and nice basis for adding some extra details. Here is my engine of this same kit, for a little inspiration and maybe reference too. It's still in progress, though. http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=39369 Can't wait to see more.

Sorry about the long break, Guys. Here are few more pics of Tero Kirsilä's Barracuda: There's a compilation of Outlaw Qualification Round 1 at Finnish Championchip Final event. You can see also this Barracuda there.

Thanks for the compliments, Mike and Fred! Now when looking at the body completely dry, it looks like decals, clear and polishing will make it nice. Chassis is on four wheels now, I had no fit issues with the rear axle, and that driveshaft fits very nicely too. Only front axle was very tricky to install, but luckily I got it right. However, it's on three wheels, one front tire don't touch to the ground. I have to adjust it a little. Now on to the interior!

As Terry said, I bet the driver would not feel cold in there. Very cool and unique build, that Jet engine looks very nicely done, and I like the carbon fiber on that body too. Excellent build.

Today I was able to get that body painted. I'm not completely happy about that result, maybe Maston's white paint hates me. Every body that I have painted with it, has turned out bad, or at least something that I'm not completely happy about. This is one of the bests with that paint, but however I can't be completely happy with it. Maybe decals, clear and polishing will make it good, hopefully it'll go like that. And started the chassis assembly, too. Engine sits very nicely on place, but upper A-Arms were really tricky to get fit right. Cutting the locator pins was needed to make them fit. Same problem with the exhaust so far, they don't fit at all. And other one is badly in the picture, I haven't glued it to the exhaust manifold yet. Frame is also glued to the chassis. On the next update this should be on four wheels. Compare with another Hemi I have on the bench.

Looks Great! Love the color and that hood scoop too. These cars are really popular in the USA Drag Strips and that's why I'm suprised that they can't be seen much in this scale. But good to see yours, it looks great. Can't wait to see more.

That's Excellent, as always, Ray! I really like the color combo and paint job. The overall smoothness of this body is nice too, these '48 Fords just are very nice cars. Very nice build, not too crazy about the Continental kit, but otherwise I like everything about it.
-
This turned out fantastic, Bruce. I really like the concept on this one and your builds always inspire me. Thanks for sharing this one, the paint and detail & Overall look is excellent.

Nice! Excellent building style on this one, I like these '50's Customs alot. Great paint job and nice wheels and tires-or actually, those look more like Hubcaps for me. Excellent build.

Here we go again, an update to my Chrysler 300C. The body is primered. There were not many mold lines to sand or any other cleanup-things on the body. First I sprayed one coat of Grey primer, it looked smooth so then I painted white primer. Why I do like this is because Maston white primer don't show the mistakes so well as the grey one. The white is because the body will be white, and it will cover that easier than grey. I hope to have it painted tomorrow. Also painted the chassis with "Red Oxide Primer" and shooted some overspray to it. Not too happy with it, since it's done with spray can and it looks way too rough, I mean that the spray should be much finer. But that's the best I could do with spray cans. Frame is painted too and so are all chassis parts, tomorrow it will start to pop up together.

Yeah! THAT looks good! New wheels and those slicks really do look better. Are you going to paint those spokes with somekind of Gun Metal paint, they look more Old School like that, but they look great like that too. Anyway you do, it will look fantastic. Keep on the good work.

Yep, drilling holes is a "Must". For the distributor or magneto, drill one small hole for each wire, same thing in every other places. One big hole can make it easier to drill, but nothing more. It looks better when there are many holes too, much more realistic. I think you would get a lot more answers for this question in the Drag Racing Models-section. There are many talented builders, who will help you. But here you go few pictures, to get started. http://www.pbase.com/gsaf/1970s_funny_cars_bw

This is cool project. Always liked the look of '64 GTO and yes, I've built one too with Hillborn Fuel Injection. Anyways, your project looks great so far, that roll bar is shaping up nicely! And I would absolutely keep those aluminium heads because they just fit much better to Race Car than any others (except in Stocker !). And maybe finding a pair of rear slicks would be easier than making those as "Slicks". The shape of the side of that tire doesn't look like Slicks tire even if the tread is removed. But all in all, very nice build, I will be watching very closely!

I'm going back to the original subject a little- Yes, I'm 15 years old currently. About a month time, I will be 16. Well I mostly build in the Drag section, right now in the CBP section too, if someone is wondering if there is nothing at my bench. That will not happen!

This you've gotta see....

What a waste of Dodge Charger. -
Looks great, this is going to be another fantastic build from your bench. The engine is looking good already, even without paint. Can't wait to see more.

Need Info On '60 Dodge Phoenix

Great info-Thanks, John! Not sure yet about the powerplant or transmission, but it will take some time before it is on the bench anyway. -

Yeah, thanks! That's what I'll be doing. Just need to find that chassis somewhere, I mean that it's hard to get any parts what you're looking for in Finland. People have parts in their stashes, I'm sure about it, but very few people offer them to others. -

Oh, I can see those pics in this forum too, and glad to hear that you were able to see them too. But anyway, here is the link to Allpar-page: http://www.allpar.co...dodge/1960.html. Well thanks for the information again, I will start looking one AMT Belvedere kit. And yeah, Shop Manual would be good one too, but you know they are hard to get here in Finland. Especially when the car is bit more rare than 1st Generation Camaro or something.... And shipping from the states costs alot. EDIT: Good information, Bill! It's great to have more possible kits where to get chassis, then it's easier to find what I'm looking for. Adjusting the wheelbase should not be too hard, so that looks like good basis too.
