  1. ....But if I had to post a picture of a Pickup, oh well I'm not sure if this is 100% correct Pickup either, but it's cool. And no, it doesn't have 100 hp straight six in it, you should hear the sound of it when burning those huge rear tires.
  2. Oh yes, now I see the difference, the American is "bit" more massive.... Actually it looks better in model than in that picture, you posted.
  3. WOW!!! I've never been a huge fan of modern Ferraris, of course they are pretty nice (especially in 1:1), but this one is.... Wow, what else can I say?!?! That is fantastic work with carbon fiber, I can't see any wrinkles on them. I bet there would be a whole lot of them if I were the builder. You did fantastic job with this one. I have to pick my jaw from the floor now...
  4. Nice BMW! The paint, wheels, tires and the overall clean look are great. I like the clean engine bay, too. Maybe a stupid question, but what's the difference between these American bumbers, and "Normal" bumbers?
  5. That's the way, Bill. I remember, I started as six years old little boy, first kit was '60 Starliner. Now, about nine years later, I'm still building and haven't had any breaks on building. I managed to get my father back in the hobby too, his latest completed builds were done on the 90's, but now he has completed already a few builds, and more to come. I also managed to get my little sister in building models, she's 12 years old now, and building Revell's new '60 Impala. Of course for Factory Stock look without those ugly big wheels what come with the kit. It's fun to build together with someone.
  6. Oh - in that case there should be no problems. I've always painted the distributor first and then drilled nine holes for it (yep, one for the ignition coil, if someone is wondering, why). Just because if I paint it after I've drilled the holes, they may be filled with paint. I'm sure your Grandpa will be very happy about that, since it turned out great.
  7. I use the hood pins that are available here in Finland. Luckily we have one excellent shop what has all kinds of aftermarket goodies. These are made by Scale Dreams, and they do look good.
  8. Of course you do what you want, but since you're already completed it once, I would not take the engine out and add wires, so you don't break anything. I know, even if I'm trying to get parts very carefully off sometimes, I do break something. I'm not saying that you would break anything, BUT it's always possible. Just a thought. Nice job with the GTO all in all. Pictures could be little sharper, but otherwise I can't see a reason to complaine.
  9. Here it is, and it looks GREAT!!! I'm really amazed by the quality of these parts, instructions, etc! I'm going to make mine as the Late-Season Version. Here are pictures about what's in the box, in case someone hasn't seen pictures about those parts already.http://s1038.photobucket.com/albums/a463/VintageDragRace/52%20Marshall%20Teague%20Fabulous%20Hudson%20Hornet/ Thanks Moebius Models of ANOTHER very beautiful Model Kit!!!
  10. AMT '62 Catalina 2 In 1 (the version which can be built into Passionate Poncho Super Stocker & Mild Custom) has very nice Chrome Reverse wheels, as some other nice Custom parts too.
  11. Happy Birthday, Tyrone! I can't wait to see more.
  12. This is very nice Pickup, especially when it's bit higher than the factory stock. The lowered stance and those wheels doesn't fit into my mind, but it's very nicely done! Fantastic paint job and very clean overall look too. Just add the upper radiator hose and it's ready to be driven!
  13. I'd like to see '32 Plymouth Sport Roadster, Dodge Aspen and good quality kit of Plymouth Volare.
  14. I built the kit few years ago, and I remember that the parts fit was horrible. I can't remember many parts from that kit, what fit nicely to each other. Some parts, yes, fit nicely, but most of them didn't. The flip is excellent example. The "hinge" was not working at all, the flip nose didn't fit nicely to the body etc. But even if the kit was bad when looking at the parts fit etc, I find it still pretty interesting, and that kit has some good parts in it. I think it's not the worst kit, I've seen.
  15. Amazing work with the chassis parts! I'm really amazed, scratchbuilt parts look much better than original kit parts look in many kits. I can't wait to see more.
  16. Moebius Models Fabulous Hudson Hornet has arrived to Finland! I can't wait to start building.

  17. Christmas Came Early This Year ! At the same time, while ordering from ModelExpress (Thanks, Dennis!), I had to take four Gasser Front Wheels and one ProStock scoop.
  18. Thanks for the kind comments, everyone! They're really appreciated. The problem with the manifold is that those flat parts on the sides, what are bolted to the cylinder heads, are made from styrene and they're not quite smooth. The problem is hard to see from picture, but it is really visible in real life. I'm going to make new ones from brass or a bit thicker styrene. Good thing is, that I don't have to take the whole manifold apart... So it shouldn't be too hard. Little update too, I started making the Flip Nose (or one piece fiberglass front end, what's a correct name for it in english?). I cut the front end with that very handy saw by Trumpeter, it does very nice and smooth cut and it doesn't take so much plastic with it, when sawing. Here are some pictures, I'll work on the throttle body tonight.
  19. The whole project started from somekind of 80's Lincoln Resin body by some American Resin body maker (can't remember which one), it was converted to Dodge Mirada and that one is built from the resin kit. That's what I remember reading from Finnish Modeling Magazine.
  20. ....Oh and needs to take part to that contest next year. I thought it already this year, but I thought that the deadline was too short for a slow builder like me. But next year I have to try. Not completely because of the prizes, but that whole contest is actually really interesting.
  21. AirTrax has one cast in Resin. They're really great quality and it's mastered by Juha Airio. Here are few pictures of finished Mirada, it's built by Juha Airio too.
  22. Cool build! I've built this kit years ago too, and I remember that it wasn't the easiest one. You did nice job with assembling everything together nicely. I like the paint and decals too.
  23. Thanks for the Belly Pan info & picture tutorial, Bernard! Needs to try what I can do with my photo shopping skills, since your pictures are so great, and they look Old School, and fit nicely to this kind of builds.
  24. Wow, That's Cool! Congratulations!
  25. Yep, it's rare engine in here. But there are a few cars with 409 engines, and they are great. It's absolutely one of my favorite engines, even the look of it is beautiful, but W-Blocks were great engines in Drag Racing on the early 60's. That's why I decided to hide my name behind the "W-409".
