  1. This'll be great build! I like these cars too, what don't have huge tires but got still lots of power. It looks very good already, I can't wait to see the progress.
  2. This is beautiful, paint job looks very smooth and shiny, great detail on the engine bay and I like those decals & Paint scheme a lot.
  3. This is going to be cool build. I've been thinking also of building something like this, but now you're already building. Can't wait to see more.
  4. That looks great, Tom! Very realistic rusting, can't wait to see this come together... Is it the Monogram (Or Revell) '55 Gasser kit, or one of this kit's re-releases?
  5. Agreed, in quality and speed. You do awesome work. I really like watching this come together. All details are just like 1:1 car has them. Can't wait to see that paint job.
  6. That is a beautiful car. Great to see another one saved. This is great body for Old School Style Custom or Race Car look.
  7. Looks very good. The wheel & tire choice is excellent and I love the stance. Paint looks very good too. Not a fan of that type of engine in this kind of Classic Car, but otherwise it looks awesome.
  8. Also I managed to get the engine sanded and it was pretty smooth, so I decided to paint the engine and transmission. It's painted with Revell's silver and paint brush, I guess it's going to stay in that color.
  9. Alright guys, here we have a little update. I started by cutting those parts (which are trying to be upper A-Arms) off, because they were incorrect place. Wheels would have been too far back. Then I glued them on right place, and next I'm going to see how the front suspension fits now, and if it needs some modifications. Other A-Arm cut off. Here is the Other one moved forward, other one still in original position: Both moved: Then I started the interior work... I glued those parts what were left from '64 Dodge's cabin together. They fit nicely, but needed some widening. Next I have to add there some styrene and build new DriveShaft tunnel, maybe from aluminium, maybe from thin plastic, don't know yet. Interior glued together: Wide Enough?
  10. Wow Chris, it looks great! This build is piece of art, especially now when you have painted some parts. Those look awesome, keep it up.
  11. This is fantastic! It doesn't look like Diecast anymore, you do always great job. The paint and finish is very nice on this one.
  12. Wow, that's true Old Gold! They've been longer in progress than my dad's builds... And it means that they've been very long time in progress. I like the original plans on both, now you just have to finish them up.
  13. This looks great. I liked watching it come together and the finished result is really worth it. Nice paint and finish, it looks smooth too, bodywork is done nicely. Great job all over, as always.
  14. Thanks, Leo! I installed the parachute handle to the roll cage. Tachometer will be mounted to steering shaft (or what it is called).
  15. Thanks Scott! That helps alot. Now I know bit more again, needs to get back building the Simca tomorrow morning, but first I have to get some sleep.
  16. Nick: Thanks for the great pictures! Those help alot already. And thanks, Jim and Craig! Here's a picture of the tool, I used to open windows and engine bay area, very good tool by Trumpeter: ' Sorry guys, No more progress yet. I was busy with the Simca Gasser & Super Stock Pontiac. But tomorrow I'm going to do something for this, and that's sure.
  17. Here are two that I'm currently working. '59 Simca Vedette Gasser: And '62 Catalina Super Stocker. Both of them should be finished soon.
  18. Now I can add The '68 Hemi Dart here too: And the Slingshot Dragster from AMT Double Kit.
  19. Another update. I modified the seat belts a bit, they are lot more realistic now, when they're connected to roll cage, not to the seat. Also scratchbuilt the parachute handle, and installed the cable. Also added that transmission crossmember, and radiator too. Water hoses are installed too. Simple Pedals are scratchbuilt too.
  20. Thanks, Bill! Hopefully I can get it installed tomorrow.
  21. Thanks, Joe! That helps me enough to get the cable installed. Now back to the bench.
  22. I'm building the Gasser Simca on my Gasser & AWB Community Build, and I'm in trouble. Where do I connect the cable what leaves from the parachute launching handle, which is in the cabin? Not maybe the clearest description, but I hope you got the point. Other question: When there's a Mechanical tachometer, where do I connect that cable? It comes to engine, but where? Any help would be appreciated.
  23. Send an Email to raurata@yahoo.com http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=26136 And for inspiration, Dodge Mirada built by Juha Airio on page three in that thread... Those bodies are very nice.
  24. It looks almost more realistic than 1:1 Pro Modifieds do! You're doing fantastic...... Oh, well Perfect job on this one. I'm going to pick my jaw of the floor, again.
