  1. Looks fantastic, Wayne! The paint job is beautiful, nice smooth finish and great looking decals. Is that scoop going to be like that on finished model, or are you going to add some decals to it?
  2. Piece of art... Already, even if it's still WIP. Everything looks so nice and clean, and realistic of course. As Ryan mentioned above, the primer looks very smooth, looks like good basis for paint coats.
  3. Not all of them dry that slow. A little amount of Eri Keeper (the white glue what we have here in Finland) dries as fast as Liquid Glues that I've used. Anyway, needs to try that liquid glue to see, if it works better than the White Glue does.
  4. The Basis For The Engine: And the valve covers. That's all for now, thanks for looking. I will keep you updated when I get something more done, but I think I have lots of motivation to get it rolling.
  5. Here is the interior with Roll Cage: Here is the interior and frame test fitted together, and mocked up with the body. Fits nicely, and this is how the engine bay looks: Overall, it looks like this:
  6. I haven't ever built Pro Modifieds, but I've been dreaming and planning to do one... And it's NOT this one, so there might be other one coming also... Today I got this '66 Ford Mustang Glue Bomb. Previous owner has started to build this one with Pro Sportsman Chevy Chassis. It's built very nicely, Mustang dashboard and door panels fit very nicely to place, roll cage fits nicely too. Also the wheelbase looks pretty good... Well, there's a lot to do, of course but because the basis was this good, I decided to make this for Pro Modified category. In Pro Modified, I think every engine variations, from Supercharged 526 Hemi to TwinTurbo and huge engine with NOS. Well, this will be with TwinTurbo set up, even if I said that I'm not going to build TwinTurbo car for a moment, because of the TwinTurboed Sleeper Chevelle: http://www.modelcars...showtopic=55959 With the Chevelle, there are a lot of clearance issues, because it's Sleeper, and it has to look like it. But this one is different, it hasn't to look original. Of course there will be clearance issues with this one too, I guess but not that big ones. Today I've been planning what to do with this, and for the engine I found one from Revell Pro Sportsman kits. It will have valve covers by Competition Resins, and pretty much scratchbuilt TwinTurbo set up. Okay, enough talking, here are the pictures. First here is the basis. This is everything what came with the Glue Bomb. This is great basis, the body is in very good shape, too and nothing has been painted, or at least everything is stripped off from the paint. Two Closeup shots of the body: Here is the modified Pro Sportsman Chassis. It has Mustang Door Panels, which is great.
  7. Absolutely the Chevy 458 Cid. engine. That one on the left is way too modern engine for '50 Chevy Pickup.
  8. White Glue works fine for me. It holds the parts well together, but everything can be taken apart. It works for plastic and metal parts, too.
  9. That huge "hole" on the Cross Ram Intake needs to be filled. That's something what Jo-Han kit had, but 1:1 cars didn't.
  10. This'll be great build! I like these cars too, what don't have huge tires but got still lots of power. It looks very good already, I can't wait to see the progress.
  11. This is beautiful, paint job looks very smooth and shiny, great detail on the engine bay and I like those decals & Paint scheme a lot.
  12. This is going to be cool build. I've been thinking also of building something like this, but now you're already building. Can't wait to see more.
  13. That looks great, Tom! Very realistic rusting, can't wait to see this come together... Is it the Monogram (Or Revell) '55 Gasser kit, or one of this kit's re-releases?
  14. Agreed, in quality and speed. You do awesome work. I really like watching this come together. All details are just like 1:1 car has them. Can't wait to see that paint job.
  15. That is a beautiful car. Great to see another one saved. This is great body for Old School Style Custom or Race Car look.
  16. Looks very good. The wheel & tire choice is excellent and I love the stance. Paint looks very good too. Not a fan of that type of engine in this kind of Classic Car, but otherwise it looks awesome.
  17. Also I managed to get the engine sanded and it was pretty smooth, so I decided to paint the engine and transmission. It's painted with Revell's silver and paint brush, I guess it's going to stay in that color.
  18. Alright guys, here we have a little update. I started by cutting those parts (which are trying to be upper A-Arms) off, because they were incorrect place. Wheels would have been too far back. Then I glued them on right place, and next I'm going to see how the front suspension fits now, and if it needs some modifications. Other A-Arm cut off. Here is the Other one moved forward, other one still in original position: Both moved: Then I started the interior work... I glued those parts what were left from '64 Dodge's cabin together. They fit nicely, but needed some widening. Next I have to add there some styrene and build new DriveShaft tunnel, maybe from aluminium, maybe from thin plastic, don't know yet. Interior glued together: Wide Enough?
  19. Wow Chris, it looks great! This build is piece of art, especially now when you have painted some parts. Those look awesome, keep it up.
  20. This is fantastic! It doesn't look like Diecast anymore, you do always great job. The paint and finish is very nice on this one.
  21. Wow, that's true Old Gold! They've been longer in progress than my dad's builds... And it means that they've been very long time in progress. I like the original plans on both, now you just have to finish them up.
  22. This looks great. I liked watching it come together and the finished result is really worth it. Nice paint and finish, it looks smooth too, bodywork is done nicely. Great job all over, as always.
  23. Thanks, Leo! I installed the parachute handle to the roll cage. Tachometer will be mounted to steering shaft (or what it is called).
  24. Thanks Scott! That helps alot. Now I know bit more again, needs to get back building the Simca tomorrow morning, but first I have to get some sleep.
  25. Nick: Thanks for the great pictures! Those help alot already. And thanks, Jim and Craig! Here's a picture of the tool, I used to open windows and engine bay area, very good tool by Trumpeter: ' Sorry guys, No more progress yet. I was busy with the Simca Gasser & Super Stock Pontiac. But tomorrow I'm going to do something for this, and that's sure.
