Fiat Topolino '60s Altered & Finished Slingshot Dragster
W-409 replied to W-409's topic in WIP: Drag Racing Models
Thank You! Little more progress with this one too. I'm planning to finish this today also, there are pretty much things to do, but at least I'm gonna try. BUT if I can't make it, I'm not going to rush the finish on this one. Body and Belly Pan have been polished. I'm really happy about how they turned out. The chassis is pretty much done exept few little parts and some important details. -
Few More Pics...

Thanks, Ken and Tyrone! This "needs" to be finished today, because tomorrow we have a Model Car Show here in Finland. I'm trying to get this thing done for that show. I have done some little things on the engine bay (still lot more to do) and yesterday I installed the grille and front bumber too. Time to get rest of the parts and details installed and then this one is ready to go. Here are some pictures with a good camera.

Looks very good so far! You're doing fantastic job with this fantastic kit. Engine looks beautiful over all, so smooth paint job and somehow it looks like Real engine. Great! If still is possible to do, remove that little mold seam of the carburetor linkage which is molded to the carbs. Otherwise it looks great. I don't know about the tooling, but it sure looks like AMT '57 Chrysler engine. Doesn't matter me, of course. Both engines are very nice.

Chevrolet Didn't think of putting too big wheels on their cars! Interesting project. Overall I don't like those wheels and tires, and not that modern interior, but you do GREAT job, so I'll be following this one for sure.

Nice job on the Crusty Hudson! Looks like you know how to do the weathering right. Excellent job with it, very unique idea too. I'm sure that we don't see many of these built as Junkers, or Barn Finds.

Fairmont drag car build - Hanging/hinging DS door 8/10/16
W-409 replied to futurattraction's topic in WIP: Drag Racing Models
Looking good. I like what you did for the frame. Engine fits nicely on place, very beautiful. I've always liked Fairmont Drag Cars, yours will turn out nice. -
Today I glued the chassis to body too. No fit issues found. I installed few details on the engine bay, too, but it's still in rough stages. Now there are only little things left, let's see if this gets finished tomorrow. All of these pics are again taken by Cell Phone, but I try to borrow a Camera tomorrow, if I get this finished.

Thanx Darryl! More work, yesterday's update: I installed the interior inside the body. It fitted fine. Also engine is glued to chassis. That wasn't so simple, but luckily glue what was strong enough managed to keep those parts on place.

57 chevy pro mod w.i.p (updates 11/11/12)
W-409 replied to tyrone's topic in WIP: Drag Racing Models
Great job! Absolutely beautiful work with the engine. I've always liked '57 Chevy ProMods, especially when they are built nicely (in 1:1 or smaller scale). Here's Finnish '57 Chevy Pro Mod, just for inspiration. -
Yep, absolutely. This is gonna be very nice build. I've been looking for this kit too for a while, even if it might be bit poor quality, it's very interesting subject and cool little car. I'm sure this'll be very nice when finished.

Very cool! How did you get the Blower fitted to that Flathead engine. I had bit problems with mine, and I had to do new intake manifold, which wasn't very simple.

1/12 `69 Camaro Z/28 Cross-Ram...Fathom Green Metallic
W-409 replied to Hawk312's topic in Model Cars
WOW!!! Another Beautiful build from your bench. This is very close to perfection, paint job is absolutely incredible. Very shiny and very smooth. Like all of the details too, very clean build over all, I can't find anything negative about this one. -
Turned out great. Especially the paint is excellent, and so is the building style too. I like it just this way-Old School! Very beautiful over all.
-
Those seats really turned out awesome! Very nice job with them, those are little things that make the model look better and better. I've never thought of "weathering" a seat with The Detailer, but hey-needs to try it!
-
Turned Out GREAT! Especially the paint job is perfect, like the detailing too. Really good job on it overall. Next time I'd like to see front tires which are bit more narrow than those.

This is going to be interesting! Looks good so far. These Shelby Cobras are very nice cars and nice to see them in 1/25 scale too.

Overhaulin' returns to Velocity
W-409 replied to Jantrix's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I've seen a few episodes of this. Car building TV-programs are always enjoyable, so is this one too. Only thing I don't like in this program is that they make too modern cars for my taste. Well, overall I would be looking forward to it, but I know that new episodes will be shown maybe in 2015 here in Finland. -
Thanks, Bill. It's coming along slowly, but luckily it looks good. Not much done, something though. I'm testing a bit now-this picture is taken with my cell phone, since I don't have the camera right now. So don't feel too bad if this picture is not top quality, but it's the best I could do. Firewall is installed. Brake Master Cylinder is glued too and part of that throttle linkage comes through firewall now. It will be connected to the engine later. I'm planning to get this finished this week, interior should be glued to body very soon.

Mustang Gasser is done ! Finished 9-2-12
W-409 replied to cobraman's topic in WIP: Drag Racing Models
Very nice Mustang. You did good job with putting two kits together. Actually that wheelbase looks pretty good to me, even if I wasn't sure about it when this was WIP. Anyways, it looks fantastic! -
69 Nova outlaw prostreet Finished (09/02/12)
W-409 replied to tyrone's topic in WIP: Drag Racing Models
Awesome build, Tyrone! I've always liked your builds, and they always look amazing. Anyway, this is the best one, I've seen from your bench. Fantastic paint job, wheel and tire choice, details etc. The wheelbase is just right, too. -
You're not the only one! Very beautiful Mercury Custom. Just my style, it's MILD Custom, but it sure looks like Custom instead of Factory Stock. Very cool, especially the wheel choice and color fit nicely on this body. And actually it looks pretty good unchopped too.
