The Vette looks great! I've built that same kit too. Oh well it was many years ago, and maybe that's why I wasn't happy about it, especially the parts fit was bad. You're doing much better job than I did. I'm looking forward for more.

Absolutely incredible build, as always from your bench. I like the over all look, everything looks very good-paintjob, details, wheels etc... Good job.

Wow, Excellent job on the Street Fighter. Looks like this kit can be built as very nice model. Maybe needs to pick it up when I see it next time. Anyways, good job on the paint and engine detail. I like the scoop too, it fits suprisingly well on '60 Chevy.

HobbyLobby is great place, and even I know that. Too bad we don't have Hobby Lobbys here in Northern Europe. Anyway, I visited in Hobby Lobby in February, 2011. That was on Daytona Beach, Florida. Bought Revell's '65 Stepside and SnapTite Kenworth W900. They were discounted, but I was still suprised about the price: 35,02$.

The Hornet's Nest: Hudson Hornet Build Madness!
W-409 replied to Dr. Cranky's topic in Community Builds
Thanx, Stephen. Color combo fits perfectly to this car, that's why I had to keep it, even if the boxart has same color scheme on it. Usually I paint my models with different color than the box art. Anyway, here is the body clearcoated. It turned out pretty good. Now I have to fix those little paint leaks, I didn't want to do it before clearcoat, because I wasn't sure if the clear would react with Blue Enamel Paint... So, it can be done after clear, too. Then polishing and BMF, this should be Done Soon! -
Great subject, Michael. And yes, you are on the entry list. Little update on the Simca-project too. It's on four wheels now, it was kinda hard task to get it straight and all lined up but luckily it looks Okay to me. The chassis is pretty rough still and needs paint touches, bit cleaning and of course-detailing. But time for that is coming bit later, since I'm trying to get the basic components installed and then move on to details and other stuff. I have to build Motor Mounts next, and also I need to install all of the steering linkages. This car is not gonna have a dashboard or other "un-important" accessories. And before someone says about it, I'm going to tell you that this car is Not going to be a Legal Gasser class racer, just building it bit like Gasser style. Anyway, here are few pics with the body on. I also found correct radiator for this one. After thinking, where to install it, I realized that there's not room for it... Well this is going to be the place for Radiator on finished model, just need to do somekind of brackets for it.

This turned out great! Now everything fits correctly, for example the wheelbase. Great job on the paint too. Not the easiest type of build to complete, you did it very nicely.

Rail dragster with Fiat body Update 8-19-12
W-409 replied to cobraman's topic in WIP: Drag Racing Models
Gonna be another great build to watch! Don't know about shortening the frame, since I like the look when the body is just installed on Un-Shortened Dragster Frame. -
All new pix - Boyd Rail Dragsters - all 17 of 'em....
W-409 replied to tim boyd's topic in WIP: Drag Racing Models
Very nice collection of nicely built Dragsters. Really good work on all of them, just can't decide which one is my favorite since you have too many options there. -
Great project! This is one kit what I'd like to build too. You're doing great job with it, nice bodywork and excellent paint job too. That's what I think everytime when I start polishing, but then I just start the polishing and hope that everything goes alright. I haven't failed polishing yet, so it can't be that difficult.

RATical chopped and channeled '25 T (hot rod, not rat rod)
W-409 replied to Ace-Garageguy's topic in WIP: Model Cars
This is the way I like them, Traditional and well built HotRods, not those poorly built Rat Rods. You're doing very good job. Engine looks good. That's true that even if the car is Rusty, it can be well built, here's one Ford T Drag Racer just for inspiration. Yep, it's from Finland. -
That interior made me laugh... I thought that Doysha Chevy Monza kit had very bad interior, but that's even worse! Anyway, I'm sure you'll do good work with this one as always. I'll be following this one very closely.

Wow, that TransKit can't be very cheap, but it sure is worth it. Looking very good so far. You do always great work, and here's another build to enjoy.

It's Not too late, just let me know what You're building and I'll add you on the list.

Great job on it, engine detailing looks terrific. I like the stance too, White Wall Front tires fit perfectly on this one. Can't wait to see more.

W-409 replied to Mooneyzs's topic in WIP: Drag Racing Models
WOW, Truly amazing work, Chris. Oh well what else could I expect from you... Those fittings look GREAT. And thanks for the size comparison pictures. Those just make me realize, how small those parts really are. -

W-409 replied to Platerpants's topic in Model Cars
I haven't built any Replicas of my Family's Cars, but I did these two to match GrandFathers cars, he used to own in the Seventies. -
Amazing work on the engine, looks just like Real Thing! Absolutely fantastic work, Bill.

Fiat Topolino '60s Altered & Finished Slingshot Dragster
W-409 replied to W-409's topic in WIP: Drag Racing Models
I had bit problems with the painting, but after one wetsanding and repaint, I was happy about the paint job. Now I put the decals on, and it looks pretty good. Then clearcoat, and polishing. -
I scratchbuilt Electric Switch Panel. The Basis is styrene, where I drilled holes for the switches, and they are made from solder. I have to say that it looks terrible in the pictures. It's better in live, and small too.

Thanx, Corey and Tom! The Mine is already planned for another project, so it will not take place on the Hemi Dart. Starting the brake lines. That Connector part (Whatever is it), is made from rubber pipe, and brake lines are metal. I'm not done with them yet, but I'm working slowly....

Thanx Christian! That ModellAutoCenter looks very good, needs to check it out. ModellAutos Budig is also on the list, I'm trying to visit there, too. The flight leaves tomorrow at 6:30 AM, I'll let you know what shops were good, and what were not when I'm back.
