  1. I think it looks very good too! Nice paint job, and excellent color choice. I really like this one. But I say that no spoiler for my taste. This is more Old School styled, so it wouldn't fit so well on this. But whatever you'll do, it'll look great. Now you must do some burnouts with it to get some burnt rubber to the rear fenders.
  2. Looks Good! I'll be following this one for sure. These Opel Rekords from the 60's are really cool looking cars and with your building skills this is going to be fantastic build!
  3. Thanks, Matti! You're probably one the only persons in this forum, who have seen this (or will see this) in person. [Well, some year I HAVE to visit in Model Car Show in the States, but first I have to learn how to talk english so everyone understands what I'm trying to say. And now I mean maybe about 5 or 10 years.]
  4. Heh, sometimes I think the same thing, but I still keep building models what need "too much" bodywork... You're doing good job, though. Keep It Up.
  5. Scott: Thanks, I'm glad you understood what I tried to say... Chris: Thanks! I've noticed that many people like that Burnt rubber, I like it too. Well I must put it for the '70 Torino Stocker too. I started a thread about '69 Chrysler 300 with Blown Hemi to On The Worbench. Yep, it'll be street car. And I'm working on the '62 Catalina Super Stocker too, just painted the body today... Also I'll keep building the Torino Stocker.
  6. Very interesting info, Chuck! Thanks for the link. It's great that everyone don't have same engines (same thing nowadays). When I've built these Nostalgic Race Cars, I've always used SBC or Hemi, just because I had no idea which other engines I should use. Well, Oldsmobile Rocket and Buick Nailhead of course, but they are hard to find in 1/25 scale. Now I need to get one more Hudson kit and build one Drag Car with that engine. Here's one good example, Ford Altered from Finland, runs with Mercury Y-Block with TwinTurbos. Best ET so far is 8,6 or something like that, if I remember correctly. And Vic: You're on the list. Sounds very good, can't wait to see the progress.
  7. Thanks, Scott! I'm glad to hear that my thread has inspired you. This is great kit and turns out very nice. It's very fun to build too, I didn't find any bigger fit issues from this kit. I took one spare tire from my parts box. (The one you would never use). I installed the tire to the Motor Tool, there are many different ways to do this. One way is to drill a hole in spare wheel and install the wheel and tire combination to that motor tool with a screw. The way that I used for this, was to find some kind of round sanding tool what fits to Dremel and inside the tire. Then I just did a "Burnout" with that Dremel + Tire combination on piece of sheet metal, saved the burnt rubber and glued it to Dart with some clear by Revell. Hope this helps, I'll post pictures if this wasn't clear enough. (My bad english....) And thanks Brett! I'm very happy about this one too. One of my favorite Mopar Super Stockers. It's great to have one in the display case now.
  8. Wow, Hudson Powered Anglia! Never saw one before, but it sure is very interesting powerplant. This will be something different for sure!
  9. Don't know what is used as basis of this beautiful '63 Polara built by Juha Airio, but if it's JoHan kit, it really is not a box stock with some added details, I guess! http://renevaan.kuvat.fi/kuvat/Tapahtumat/Lahden+Pienoismallin%C3%A4yttely+08.09.2012/IMG_2497.jpg
  10. Wow, that's cool! Is it built from AirTrax kit (or body) too?
  11. Chuck-you're on the list. I'm looking forward of seeing some progress. And Michael, the Vette looks really good so far! Like the engine details alot. My Simca just got the glass parts. I will be working with it hopefully tonight, and I'm planning to get the engine mounts done.
  12. I have two Resin bodies by Jimmy Flintstone ('60 Nomad and '58 Chevy Sedan Delivery). I'm quite happy about them, well, could be better, there are some air bubbles and other little things to be corrected but really nice bodies anyway. I don't find a reason to fear Flintstone Resins, if all of their bodies are as nice as these two. Then I have four AirTrax bodies, they all are GREAT quality. There is absolutely no air bubbles or anything, those bodies can be just sanded a bit, primered and painted. The quality is as good as with normal Polystyrene. Of course these are just my thoughts, but...
  13. Thanks, Casey! Here are some pictures about the start. Not much done yet, but I'm going to use '75 Dart Chassis and interior, as mentioned above. The chassis needs some work, but it's possible to fit inside that Studebaker body. Not sure about the engine yet, I have one Thunderbird engine and many, many Glue Bomb engines that needs to look what fits the best. But engine will NOT have a Supercharger, Pro Charger, Turbos or anything. It will be just basic Street Car. Well here's the body: What I'll use for the chassis and interior:
  14. Thanx Darryl and Bill! I'm really happy about this one, and I like those rubber pieces too on the rear fenders. They just fit nicely to this kind of Drag Car.
  15. WOW! That Detail Blows Me Away! I'm Speechless, But I Can Hear The Engine Sound Already!
  16. Thanks for the comments! They keep me motivated. Casey: Yes, it's AirTrax body. And really good one, I think. Now I have three Chrysler 300 Model kits, '57, '55 and now '69. Ricky: Yep, it looks very good to me also. I've always liked this body style-very big sized and fun when it has lots of power. This'll be a Bit same style as this Finnish '67 Plymouth Vip TwinTurbo Drag Car, which just run 7,95 with Drag Radials. http://kuvia.1g.fi/kuvat/Tapahtumat+2012/FHRA/Bl%C3%A5klader+August+Nats+/Sunnuntai/MOP_9471.jpg Even if my build will not have turbos. Bob: These are really worth checking out, as other AirTrax bodies, I've seen. Of course these are not cheap, but that's the way with all Resin kits. John: Heh, I just picked the chassis from somekind of Mopar, and found the '64 330 chassis. I'm not a Mopar expert myself, but nice to hear that it's something what can be used. Does anyone know where that Hemi engine is from? It's molded in black. I should have an update later today, if everything goes alright.
  17. I thought this would be something related to Suicide King Studebaker. But I will be following your build very closely, never seen too many 1/25 Cadillacs.
  18. Umm... I had absolutely no idea on this one... I was just looking Ferraris and Maseratis.
  19. And last I had to do little putty work. Tomorrow I'll sand those putties smooth, and hopefully I can spray the first primer coat too. Thanks for looking, and stay tuned for more.
  20. Engine will be 426 Hemi with Blower. I took this engine from my parts box, it's quite rough, but will be rebuilt completely. Luckily this engine is big enough to fill that giant engine bay of this car. I started filling that Metal Axle hole with styrene tube: Then I sanded this smooth, so oil pan can be installed, when the block is repainted.
  21. I started building by removing all of the excess resin from the window openings, and the engine bay etc. I used this kind of tool which is shown in the picture below, very good tool and no need for cleaning things with sandpaper. Then I cut the front frame, and added some extra length for it with styrene rod. Needs some cleaning, but now it's correct shape from the front. I found correct front axle from my spare parts box. It's pretty close of actual Dodge 330 axle. Rear axle will be from Revell's Hemi Dart kit, but this is the rear axle for 440 version.
  22. Just finished two builds in DragRacing Models Section, so it's time to start two new! Other one is this '69 Chrysler 300. I'm using Resin body by AirTrax. It was bought as "damaged" casting... Overall it looks very good, and I can't see a reason why it is Damaged... At First, I was going to use Revell's Pro Sportsman Chevy Chassis, but when I found spare '64 Dodge 330 chassis, I had to try it. It's just correct width, and wheel base is pretty good too- only little adjustments on the front need to be done.
  23. Can I still join in with '56 Studebaker Commander? It'll have '75 Dart Chassis and interior and it will be basically Street Car. It's a shame that I can't take part to the meet, but it's bit too far away....
  24. That's a huge difference between the original and the final product. Looks very nice.
  25. Nice Maverick. This is one beautiful Ford, in real life too, and your model looks as sharp as this kind of DieCast can look. Great job.
