  1. Well here's one beautiful Ford! Great wheel and tire choice. Red steelies fit very well with that blue paint. Good job on it, very nice.
  2. Great job on them! Especially when they are built in that little time. Especially I like the paint jobs on them, but they're overall very nice too. Harry's point is good too, but sometimes it's fun to build something different, and fast. Especially after one long project, it's nice feeling to build something in two or three days or so.
  3. I use the same method as Nick mentioned above. But... For example AMT '67 Impala, kit tires look more like Lowrider style than Factory Stock. I replaced the tires on mine, and it looks whole lot better. And it's not the only one.
  4. Very nice Rear End! Absolutely awesome work, Chris. I hope I can build this high quality some day too. It looks like real part to me, but because of the background I have to believe that it really is a Model. Is it time to get my JungleJim Vega on the bench too, this inspires me that much....
  5. This is a Model. Oh, next one is Real Or Model #200! Let's Have A Party next time!
  6. Looks GOOD! Only thing I would do other way, is lowering the rear end a bit and then removing some material from the body so the tires fit. And yes, front axle could be a bit more back. Otherwise perfect, keep it going.
  7. Thanks guys! It's shiny, but not so smooth-after polishing it will be beautiful. Anyway I'm having bit hurries, and it will take some time to get back on the Hudson, maybe a week or so. Chuck, nice job on the Convertible! Will watch this very closely.
  8. Well it's not the easiest thing to build Stock Eliminator Drag Car which is technically correct, or matches NHRA rules, or is a car which could win races in 1:1 world. You have to convert parts from the engine, interior, chassis and it's mostly scratchbuilding, because there's no Stocker kits available ( ) . If you build Super Stock, it needs more modifications, of course. I haven't been built Super Stock Cars (if those old '60's Racers doesn't count). But there might be some kits where to get few parts, but scratch building is needed, too. I would build it as Stock Eliminator Drag Car (this might not be a suprise ) or then buy AMT '66 Nova Pro Street and modify that chassis to fit under Gremlin. If you're building Stock Eliminator Drag Racer, make a WIP topic, I'll help where I can. (Currently building 1:1 scale Stocker with my father, so I might now something ).
  9. Bruce, it's GREAT to see you back! Your builds are always very nicely done and you build something different which is always good. This one is another great build! As William said, it could have been produced by the manufacturer. Looks very good, keep these coming.
  10. After seeing this one and following it for a while, I had to find my Monkees Mobile from my stash, and I had to fit a roof (Pontiac GTO, maybe?) for it. Actually looked pretty good, maybe needs to get it going... I like what you did for the hood on this one. Looks much better than the original one. Really like the design, it looks very good over all.
  11. Opinions wanted, I'll say what I think: It looks good. Rust color is great, and you have rust in right places! I really like it. I'm not sure if this because of the pictures, but the body looks way too thick to me. Especially from the rust holes, body should be a lot thinner, as it is in real life. Otherwise I think it looks great, and better than my first try at rusting...
  12. I don't mind PickUps as "Trucks", so I'll give you a picture of "Real Truck" which looks good to my eye. It's the Peterbilt, especially I like it just like it was in movie "Duel".
  13. Very nice build, great subject too. Good job all over, paint, details, decals etc. look perfect. I can't say any bad words about this one, you did awesome job.
  14. A Friend of mine had that kit. We were very exited about it, since both of us like the Model A better than Model B. If I remember correctly, the top of that kit is molded seperately, and it's not as well detailed as the new kits by Revell, of course. But I think it really is worth buying and building, we've seen hundreds of '32 Fords in different body styles: 3W and 5W Coupes, Sedans, Tudors, Pickups and Roadsters.... This is a difference. Of course it's possible to use a Revell '32 Ford as a donor kit, if the detail in this kit is not good enough. I would buy that immediately if I found it for cheap.
  15. I build mostly at home, but sometimes when I go to visit my relatives, and I know that I'm going to spend there few days, I take my modeling stuff with me. I have my tools in basic Tool Box. All paints, paint brushes and glues, etc are inside it. Sounds messy, but actually it's not. When I "Move" my bench from one place to another, I put styrenes and stuff like that inside the box too. (In home I keep styrenes and aluminium sheets etc on different place). Then I take the Model Box(es) with me and go.
  16. Beautiful! You're doing terrific job on this one. Can't wait to see the '74 Chevelle.
  17. Beautiful Ford STW. Pretty unusual subject, but that's good. You did great job with the paint and finishing, it looks very good. I didn't know that there was a kit of this, but if it's made by Hubley, not suprised since those are rare...
  18. Thanks For the comments, Randy and Fred! It sure means alot and keeps me going. No time for Modeling today, I was building my 1:1 Ride (Not a car though, it's a Moped). I had to take whole engine apart. Not the easiest thing, I've never done anything that big on Two Stroke engine, especially the transmission was quite difficult. Assembling it together wasn't too easy either. And it's still not working, hopefully I can get it fixed tomorrow, and then continue the Hemi Dart build. But if I can make more progress with the Dart, I'll post more pics.
  19. Here are few pics of the Dart with windows installed and body is painted from Underside with Flat Black. Took these pictures last week's Friday, but now I finally have some time to post them here. Progress has been very slow now, but I hope I can get some bench time this weekend.
  20. Great Job! I always like Dioramas, especially when they are nicely done. This one belongs to that category, GREAT job! As I've seen alot snow here in Finland, I have to say that your snow looks maybe the best, I've seen in any Diorama.
  21. Well, I would personally take it apart and fix the problems. I know that it might feel stupid, but that's what I do and that's what I've done few times. Then the model looks better, when you've fixed the problems. Once I just finished the build, even if I thought that it's far away from my bests (The 80's Style Corvette). Anyway it looked OK when completed, even if I could see the mistakes from miles away. My opinion is, that take it apart so you can fix the problems. Then it's like new model again.
  22. I want this one!!! This is interesting idea, I have to admit that I have built only one AMT '32 Ford (and I guess that was AMT, but not 100% sure). I'm looking forward to see what kind of projects we can see in this thread. This is my Chopped, Channeled, Sectioned, Shaved etc etc. Ford Roadster from AMT GlueBomb. Just For Inspiration.
  23. Great idea! This Studebaker is great kit for Kitbashing parts, as I did with my Simca Gasser (in Gasser & AWB CBP). Looking forward to seeing yours. Hope it gives you some ideas, don't mean to highjack.
  24. As others have already mentioned, Terrific build again. I like the paint and details on this one, also like the long wheelbase frame, it just fits much better than shorter, and of course the handling would be better in 1:1 scale. Beautiful build again!
  25. Looks Good! Cobras are rarely seen in Drag Racing, but this one is very nice exeption. Super Gas Roadsters are not my favorites in 1:1 world, but in this scale, they're very interesting.
