  1. Okay, these cars are from Finland. Can't pick just one, but here are few: Street Cars
  2. Thanks, Ray! The paint is made by Maston, and color code is 803. I don't know if you have Maston paints in USA, but here in Finland they are pretty easy to get, and they work well, too.
  3. There's nothing like Fresh paint job ! I started by taping the top, it will be painted white later on. And here's the body with some blue on it, looks pretty good. In the picture, the paint is wet and it is not going to be that glossy when it's dry, but clearcoat and polishing will help.
  4. Yep, it might be easier like that. But I'll do the blue first, some how it's just my style and I'm used to it. For Example I painted red first on this '55 Chevy (1/32 Scale though) and then the white. Don't know why I do it this way but it works okay, though.
  5. Thanks for the help! My favorite style of Drag Radials is that Hoosier tire, luckily it's the easier one. Needs to try what I can do with the saw, I was going to order in just a couple of days. I know thoe Ma's Resin tires, but other Finnish Modeler ordered some parts from there. After four months, no one has answered to his order... That's why I guess I need to make my own. Patrick's link is very interesting too. But the problem with that is the grooves, they are not looking like real Drag Radials. Otherwise very good looking tires.
  6. My workbench is in corner, next to two large windows. Usually I need only the "Natural Light", but if it's dark day or night time, I have one desk lamp, which is pretty good.
  7. Do you mean Factory Stock cars, or can they be modified, too?
  8. How could I make my own Drag Radialsin 1/25 Scale? I've been wondering this for a long time, but never realized, how I could do it. I'm wanting to have This: OR This: Style Drag Radials.
  9. Sorry guys, it has been a while, but I forgot to paint one part of the frame, and it took some time to primer, paint and clearcoat it. But today I was able to do some work with the Dragster too, I assembled the frame together. There were no big fit issues at that point, everything went together pretty well. I painted white walls to rear slicks too. It was bit risky to do with white "Marker Pen" and Circle Template. Anyway those White Walls turned out okay, there are some little spots to fix, but otherwise I'm pretty happy. Then I installed front and rear axles. They went together..... Well somehow. I had some problems with the front axle, but I got it installed. There are some parts still missing, and I'm going to continue building tomorrow. Hope to have more updates soon. Mock Up With Engine: You can see some white spots on the frame, they came when I test fitted the body. It was pretty tight fit, but I'm going to fix those white spots soon.
  10. In my opinion, amount of Mold Flash is not a measure of quality. I think the most important thing in Model Kit is, how much parts there are and how well detailed are them. For me it usually doesn't matter, if there's some mold flash, because always there are mold lines what need to be removed too. Sometimes, yes, Mold Flash is very difficult to remove, that times mold flash really does matter. (for example little tie rods etc on front axles.) What I think are the most important measures of quality. 1. How well detailed the parts are. 2. How Much parts does the kit include. 3. Parts fit nicely to each other. 4. Mold Lines and Mold Flash. Maybe other people think different way than I do, but this is my opinion.
  11. This Chevy looks real good to me. Perfect stance and wheel choice is very good too. I like the paint job also, very good job over all.

    Joe Dirt

Very cool, and even if I don't usually like weathering, but now I really have to say that Nice Weathering!!! Cool build over all .
  13. Cool Hudson, I like the color. It suits that Hudson body pretty well actually. Good stance too and perfect wheel choice. Great job with the engine, but little detailing would not be a bad thing.
  14. Good Looking Ferrari Build! Wire wheels look excellent, are they Photo Etch parts? Good paint job too, and I guess very few people will notice those valve covers, if you don't say anything about them.
  15. You sure do some great work, John! Another very clean NASCAR build of very good looking car.
  16. This one looks good to me. Or then that one, I suggested with PM. http://stores.scaledreams.com/-strse-664/Assorted-grit-Polishing-system/Detail.bok Then I would buy these two http://stores.scaledreams.com/-strse-1077/Novus-1-Clean-and/Detail.bok and http://stores.scaledreams.com/-strse-1078/Novus-2-fine-scratch/Detail.bok I didn't totally Get It, which one would be better, or if both of them are needed. So I would buy both and test them.
  17. Thanx, Stephen ! Not too Fancy update, but just wanted to let you know, that body is now ready for paint. I'm waiting now for the paint, I should get it tomorrow, so hopefully it'll be in Blue soon. Then I must paint the white top, of course. I have to move on to the interior too.
  18. I didn't find good shifter from my spare parts boxes. So I took styrene sheet, and some red plastic tubing. Cut few pieces out of styrene, and there I had the basic components for building the shifter, as in first picture. I put those together, but after that I added still little styrene strips, and now the shifter is waiting for paint. Not perfect, but Okay for me.
  19. It has been a while since the latest update of the Camaro. Anyway, I was able to do some work today for it, and here we go. First I sanded all bondo-spots smooth, and actually it looked pretty good then. After that I decided to spray one primer coat on it, and now I can see what places need some more work, and what are good like that. I found correct seats for this one too. Now they are on the paint removal, hopefully tomorrow they are ready to be painted. I had to remove all of the wiring from that firewall. Applied little amount of putty there, too.
  20. Just Polish the paint job. I don't know, how much Orange Peel you have there, but the problem should be solved with Polishing. I started with 3000 grit on this Nova body, it wasn't very good starting point, but I'm very happy about the end result. After Polishing:
  21. I would take the body from that Diecast & Chassis and interior and engine parts from other Model Kits, where those parts are pretty close of original '41 Chevys parts.
  22. I built this What If Style Dragster from Bugatti Glue Bomb, fitted Chevy Small Block with Hillborn Fuel Injection in it. Front axle is stolen from Revell '29 Ford Pickup, but it's bit narrowed. Wheels and tires are from my parts box and there are many, many scratchbuilt parts. This took only few days to build, it was just a little & fast project between more serious builds. But the most important thing was, it was very fun to build.
  23. Here are few recent Muscle Cars. I've built many more, but I'm not going to post those older builds here. First we have this Chevy Corvette: Does this qualify as a Muscle Car?
