The Hornet's Nest: Hudson Hornet Build Madness!
W-409 replied to Dr. Cranky's topic in Community Builds
Here we go again, Hudson is on all four wheels, after few problems (Not because of Moebius' great kit, just because of Würth spray paints). It looks pretty good, stance etc. I also glued the wheels so that they are bit turned, they just look good like that, I think. And Yes, Engine Is Glued To Chassis, Too. -
This might be interesting. I might jump in for this one, if there are some more interested builders too. Does anyone have good drawings for FED frame?

Building Monogram's Street and Revell's Racing Version of Shelby Cobra.
W-409 replied to W-409's topic in WIP: Model Cars
Thanks, Wayne! Very much appreciated. The metal flake looks bit better in person, actually it's pretty good for my eye. In the sunlight it doesn't look right, though. Needs to find some reference photos for the racing version too. My other computer broke down with all of my reference photos from every model car there. So now I need to start looking for them again. I'm going to post few pics soon of the Cobra. -
Harry, Modified HotWheels cars belong here, I guess?

Nice build of great kit! Detailing looks super. Chassis is good looking too, paintjob turned out well and so on. Great work. But next time drill those headers out .
-
Great body, looks good already! You do great job with this one too. Looks like plastic is quite thin compared to scale model kits, or is it just me?
-
Cool Camaro! We need some more pictures, though. Looks interesting, and nice paint & Detailing.
-
Is there an engine and great interior & Chassis detail on that Tamiya kit? If so, this would be great kit for me, since this is very beautiful car. You did nice job on yours. Paint turned out well.

Building Monogram's Street and Revell's Racing Version of Shelby Cobra.

Thanks! The battery, I need for the interior is coming now and soon I can continue building the interior too. I actually have some more work done for the engine, but when I do some little "weathering" for the headers, I'll post a picture or two. -
This is coming along nicely, you do some great work! I like the body modifications, rear fenders from Impala look good and like the front end also. Good job, keep it going. And to answer your question, yes, I would fill it.

Very supportive attitude, David . Jesse builds nicely, better than I did when I was 13. If he wants to build cars for other people, why not? Especially if Jesse is not charging anyone. I think this kind of "service" is very good to have, some people want a model of their favorite car, but they can't do it theirselves. This kind of service is good for that. Go On, Jesse! Your builds look good already, keep them coming and you'll get better all the time. And No, this is not an personal attack to David, just my opinion.

Replica of my 1:1 ('93 Chev)
W-409 replied to Nick Winter's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Pickups, Vans, SUVs, Light Commercial
Great progress! I like the 1:1 car too. This is something, I've been planning for my 1st car when it's time to get one. These are not so expensive here in Finland, and of course cars need to be American. Good job all over on this build, can't wait to see more. -
Dick Landy 68 Charger 2nd attempt at build !
W-409 replied to Biffo's topic in WIP: Drag Racing Models
You did good job with this one, it looks really smooth to my eye. Parts fit well to each other, and paint job looks great. Engine details are super and I like that oil pan too. -
Great build! Details are very nice and paint job looks good. I can say that you'll learn english here too. My english is not perfect either, but I've learned alot from here. And of course: Welcome!

Beautiful Old School HotRod, absolutely beautiful. Flames doesn't look like decals, to me they look like "painted on". Great paint and nice details all over, just would like to see more pictures of this one.

The Hornet's Nest: Hudson Hornet Build Madness!
W-409 replied to Dr. Cranky's topic in Community Builds
I can't get my Hudson finished for that, but luckily you all have built enough Hudsons... -
Luckily I managed to find answer on that seat problem. But then I found this picture and realized, that I must fill a part of that seam, but not completely. Then I filled it and now it's ready for paint. And I guess that the chassis was black, since in every 1/25 Chrysler, I've seen, the chassis is painted flat black. So that's what I will do next.

WOW, truly amazing model building! These pictures could be from real car, but maybe I have to believe, that it's a model. Brakes look awesome. Those bolts look great too and paint looks incredible. This is fantastic build, can't wait to see it finished.

This will be very interesting. It looks very good already. Body shaping is something that Chevy would do if they made new Chevelle. My only suggestion is, that wheel openings on the body would be a bit bigger, now those wheels look too big compared to other car, it looks like modified, not factory stock concept. But that's just me, of course. (in new concept there must be too big wheels, because that's what today's car manufacturers like.)

The Hornet's Nest: Hudson Hornet Build Madness!
W-409 replied to Dr. Cranky's topic in Community Builds
Thanks! Progress is slow, but I've been building this as a side of that Moebius' Tim Flock Chrysler, and today I managed to sand that putty area of the chassis smooth. However painting the chassis didn't go very well, and now I'm thinking about sanding it a bit and then try again, with different paint. Frame is also sprayed Gloss Black, and hopefully I can start building the axles soon. Also sanded the body a bit, but few more mold lines to smoothen before primer. Has everyone else finished their Hudsons? -
Great looking builds, Both of them. Personally I like the black one better, even if the white one is bit more detailed. Somehow that black just looks right. But as I said, both are great.
