Thanks Doctor and Romell! I'm done with the Bug and Austin, so it's time to get back on these builds without Deadlines too. I painted Chevelle's engine block once, but it maybe needs some more paint before I can call it done.

This was finished on Friday, and it's built as a Birthday present, just like the VW 1300. Tamiya kit, very good quality. I started by preparing the body ready for paint, which is straight from Maston spray can. Engine paint was pretty hard to find, but I found good color from Hobby Shop in Paris. Only extras for the engine are spark plug wires. Interior was done almost box stock. I only turned the steering wheel on left hand side, as it is here in Finland. Because of that I had to cut and turn windshield wipers too. Nah, here are the pictures, feel free to ask questions, I'll answer as best as I can.

Thanks Shawn and Guy! I need to say, that this kit goes together pretty well, body and interior are pretty nice too, if you remember to sand those mold lines away.

Thanks Dominik, and Luis! Today, there's coming another build into this section-it was finished on Friday.

This is very cool Concept of '59 Impala. I really liked watching the WIP topic, and finished product is worth all that work, you've done with it. Paintjob looks great and I like the interior too. Thanks for sharing it.

Yeah, Me too! I hope they work as nicely as they look. I've painted some parts on the Mustang, but can't post a picture untill Sunday. So Stay Tuned...

The Detailing on this build is awesome. I'm going to follow this build very closely. Engine looks incredible so far, keep it coming.

Very Cool Vega Funny Car. I like this body style, maybe needs to get one kit, even if it wouldn't be Revell's best kit. Nice job on it, paintjob looks cool and I like the detailing all over. Very nice and Clean build.

The Decals for Cobra Jet Mustang have arrived, thanks for mcandela for the tip. I didn't know that these were in production. But now I'm getting started with this build, since I can get that other little build finished today.

Other side of the body is polished now, well maybe a bit work to do still, but it looks pretty good. I will polish another side also, and maybe next week I can start foiling this body. It's pretty shiny, huh?

It looks very good so far, interesting to see how it comes together, since your builds are always spectacular. Where are those front wheels from? I've seen some FC wheels like that on ModelExpress, but I'm not sure about their scale or how big they really are.

This is going to be interesting build. Your other builds have been really amazing, and I'm very interested about seeing how this comes together. Pro Mods are great, and it's nice to see more of these Full Detailed ProMods being built.

Huh, that looks amazing. Paintjob is better before polishing, than my paintjob after polishing. I really like this build, I keep watching for more to come. -

Wow, Luckily I opened this Trucks section today, it looks VERY good! WIP was great to follow, and finished product is worth it. Weathering is perfect, and I like the detail. Thanks for sharing this beautiful build. -
Pro Star and 53 ft Great Dane reefer
W-409 replied to Dave Metzner's topic in Truck Kit News & Reviews
This Truck is pretty ugly in 1:1 world, but it would be great to have in this smaller scale. Well maybe I must buy that LoneStar first... -
Buying kits online?
W-409 replied to Action Jackson's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I've bought two kits from ModelExpress, and everything worked alright. The prices are good, and shipping was pretty fast, even if I'm here in Europe. Sometimes They have some older stuff as well. -
Thanks Jason and Bruce! The decklid latch seems to be upside down. Äh, well I guess I have to let it be, since I don't have this build anymore. And yes, these are very rare nowadays, but they were really popular (and cheap!) on the 60's. It's a shame, VW Beetle is really nice looking little car.

New frame crossmember for the C/Street Mustang is from X-Frame Chevrolet's frame, which was in very bad condition. I had to narrow it a bit and also I made it bit lower, and with some styrene I managed to glue it on. Some putty for finishing, and it's pretty good now. Engine fits nicely on its place now, but it will be bit higher from the front when I make new engine brackets.

It looks very good so far, and I'll be watching this build since I'm fan of Chevrolets and AWB cars. Engine looks very nice and I like the stance. I've built this kit too, but it was worse than I hoped.

68 Camaro El General Pro Mod (updates 05/06/12)
W-409 replied to tyrone's topic in WIP: Drag Racing Models
GREAT job with the Camaro so far, I like the look of Narrow Body Camaro PM. Paintjob is killer, and that engine detail is incredible. I enjoy watching this one, keep it going. What happened with the scoop? -
Beautiful build of Beautiful car. Paint job is perfect, very smooth and shiny and I like the overall look, it's very clean and realistic looking build. I like the wheels also. Thanks for sharing the WIP topic, I really enjoyed watching it.

Wow, thanks everyone ! I really appreciate the comments. Graig: Body is spraypainted, but everything else is painted by paintbrush. That's the normal way, well sometimes I paint chassis with spray too, but sometimes I use paint brush (as I did with this) Geoff: I've got lots of inspiration from your European car builds, and that's one more reason why I built this one. Peter: Yeah, this is also built to my grandfather, who had 1:1 with those ZJE-4 register plates. That was on 70's. Ron: It's 1/24 scale. And yes, thanks again everyone, comments are very great to hear, and they're appreciated.

I have to agree with Rob and Dirk. You're doing great job, but those ignition wires are bit too thick. Maybe smaller diameter wire would look better. I've bought mine from Scale Dreams, but cauge wrapping wire works too. Nice job with the body painting, I'm very interested about seeing more-you're doing amazing job on your second build.

My first build in 2012. Built as a birthday present to match beformer 1:1 car. Basis for the build was Hasegawa Beetle, and it was quite simple kit- no engine and simple chassis. Interior and body were good, though. There were some mold lines anyway and I had to remove them before painting. Color is Maston white, and clear is Maston's also. I waxed it, but no polishing this time. Chassis is mainly black, and everything is painted by brush. Shocks are red, and there are some silver details, but otherwise it's gloss, semi gloss or matt black. Red & Black interior is painted by brush too, and I used finally masking tape when painting those seats. It was worth it, and I guess I must start using masking tape often. Nothing special in final assembly, Finnish register plates are home made, but their shape isn't perfect. Overall I'm pretty happy about it. Let Me Know, What Do You Guys Think.
