  1. Turned out very nice. Body looks great, top is just low enough. Color is great, and paintjob is shiny. Great Old School HotRod, nice detailing on the engine bay and interior looks good too. Thanks for sharing this beauty.
  2. This is very cool. I like the Old School look on it, and must say, that this might be the best model, I've seen from your bench. It's so nice. That engine detailing looks very good, but especially I like that overall look, and paintjob. Wheel and tire combo is great too.
  3. Well, I thought, it is Lamborghini Murano, but it was Nissan... Well, it looks typical new car, like egg with wheels.

    6. '57 Chevy Bel Air 7. '29 Ford Pickup (quick build, just for fun...) 8. '64 Prince Gloria Mild Custom 9. '50 Police Mercury 10. '64 Corvette 80's Style Finnish HotRodding
  6. It was pretty good year-12 completed models, and I think, building quality is much better than last year, that's something, I'm very happy too. Lots of impovable things of course, but I'm getting better. 1. Renault Alpine A110 Monte Carlo Rally 1971 2. '60 Impala Mild Custom 3. Lancia Stratos 1977 Monte Carlo Rally 4. Shelby Cobra 427 5. '70 Dodge Super Bee
  7. Sounds like great plan! I've been thinking about that last day to join in. This is so small CBP, and don't get so much replies, that maybe I would remove that Last day to join in. Then it can be added later again.
  8. Your Hot Rod looks... Amazing! That detailing on the engine is incredible, and overall look is very sharp too. Wheel and tire choice is just perfect. Nice build all in all, thanks for sharing it.
  9. This is my last one for 2011. It was bought on November 2009 with 5 euros. Not too big price, only wheels, tires and engine were missing. Idea was to build something, which would have raced here in Finland on 80's, or early 90's in Pro Comp Category. This project had many problems and I'll tell this whole story, as it really was: So first I took one Hemi, wheels and tires from my parts box. Then I had almost everything for the build. I removed original bell housing from that Hemi and fitted the one from kit on its place. And engine was fitting correctly on engine mounts on frame. That time I removed molded on type fuel line from the gas tank. Oh, It was time to shoot some primer... I primered spoiler and body from inside. Both attempts ended up as mess: Primered parts were looking as smooth as asphalt with all of the cracks etc. So it was time to remove paint, which was pretty hard and took very long time. Finally I had body without paint on my hands... Here was a break, after that I started building the engine. Valve covers changed to Parts Box resin ones and I fitted old Blower with injectors on place. Headers were from the kit. Then I continued building the frame. All axle systems, gas tank, oil filters etc. were installed, and after them I got it on four wheels. That was anything but easy, because new tires had some problems to fit inside the body, especially in the front. But I got them fit, and continued the build with detailing the engine. I installed ignition wires, and some other plumbing and wiring was done also. This point I decided the color of that body, but later it changed three times... Finally an other attempt to primer that body, and finally I made it. Then I started assembling those panels on the frame, and then I glued all of the parts to drivers area. With steering axle I had some problems. I had to cut lots of plastic from that part, what comes inside the body. But luckily after that, everything was fitting nicely. Then I installed brake lines. OK, painting the body next. I tried to paint it from inside, and that ended up as mess. Too much paint, but I managed to fix it looking pretty good. But then painting outside the body was inpossible. First I had too thick paint, and then I made it thinner, and after one coat, I realized, that needs to paint bit heavier coat. And because of very thin paint and heavy coat, you know what happends. Removing the paint again, and then new primer. Spoiler painting went wrong too. Here I had almost one year break, but after that I painted new primer, and picked up new paint. Spoiler painting went wrong again, and removing the paint was ahead. Finally I managed to paint body succesfully, so I installed decals. Here was new problem. I had to print PC 526 decals myself, but printer was changed and it didn't print white color anymore. So I gave decals to one finnish modeler to print, and finally I managed to install them, when I got decals back. But they were good quality. After having problems with painting that part, which is inside the body, I finally managed to get everything painted succesfully. Then I assembled everything together, and finally. After two years of working, here it is. AirFix Burnout Bird! Two more:
  10. Very nice work with it. Engine plug wiring looks very clean, and interior is great too. Nothing to complaine about, subject is very interesting too. I was just wondering, that needs to build something like this. (First must build some older ones and finish them though...)
  11. It looks much better after every update. Great work bro, keep these pictures coming! I like the stance, and engine detail looks good too. I haven't seen many of these Pro Mod Nomads, especially in this scale. It's great to see this one, so thanks for sharing.
  12. X2! They just don't fit. But it's going to be interesting project, even if you are using those wheels or not. Because I like that Dodge A100 body style very much. But this car needs to have steelie wheels, and dog dish style hubcaps.
  13. Noooo! Not those wheels, it looks very beautiful with steelies, but those too big wheels with flat tires don't fit to this one, I think. I'd like to see it with normal size wheels and tires. Of course this is just my opinion, and that is not much. I'm afraid, that many people like it with those wheels too.
  14. WOW, that Monza is great. I haven't seen that version of Monza model kits before. I have AMT kit, but that looks cooler. It's a shame, that it's factory sealed, so we can't see, what's inside the box. I mean the parts quality and if they match the real car, but it must be nice kit anyway. And I can guess, that it really is worth money, I've never seen it and I've been looking for different versions of 1/25 scale Monza.
  15. Really nice builds for 2011. You had very good year. It's inpossible to say, what's your best build, but I maybe like that Gremlin the best. Cool builds, and thanks for sharing. Those Hudsons are very nice too, and I guess, you are the only one who has both of the Hudson kits built.
  16. Oh, I had to ask, where are you going to connect those wires/cables (or what ever they are) from fire bottles? So they are going from fire bottle to where? I need to connect those next on my Pontiac FC, and then it's completed.
  17. Thanks, Dirk! Just noticed, that the paint on that front seat is not completely dry, so needs to wait some more time, before painting another shade of red. Anyway I can continue with painting other intarior parts, and detailing the engine.
  18. That's true. I'll be working on this soon again. Tomorrow I'm away from home, and I come back on sunday. That's the first day, I can continue this build. I take some models with me, but not this one, because it needs styrene, bondo and too much other things, what are too hard to take with me.
  19. Thanks, Mark! Next step is of course interior, and engine needs some more detail too. I've been thinking about primering that body, but lets see. I have Pontiac Firebird FC what keeps me busy-I'm trying to finish it in 2011.
  20. This build has been waiting for long time, but yesterday I was able to do some progress.... I sanded all of the putties from front seat, and painted it with first color. Today I'll be adding some lighter red also. Needs to paint some other interior parts too, stay tuned for more updates.
  21. Thanks guys! It would have been lots of easier to begin with that, but... I think, it's great to look these pictures, when this build is finished. And I'm not building this as typical Pro Street. That kit would have needed lots of modifications too, even if it would still have been easier start. Bart: The placement of those tires is still big question to me. The mock up shows that better. Needs to make other side to the same position, and then needs to look if I move them under fenders or not. I'm looking for some Bracket Racer look for this-not so professional Drag Car.
  22. We are so amazed about the build quality, that no one can say anything. That's truly amazing detail work! And I really enjoy looking at your builds, they are always great. Interesting subjects and bit different too (which is good!). I think, there's only positive feedback about your threads, these are always great to see. And as I said, detailing on that engine is truly amazing.
  23. I've built one '55 Chevy, and I have one '56 Ford, and '55 and '57 Chevy bodies. That '56 Ford will be Funny car, and I've been thinking about making those '55 and '57 Chevrolets as painting practise models. But maybe I'd like to do them as bit milder Drag Racers than they were originally. Using Monogram '56 Chevy chassis, for example... Not sure yet, though, but looks like I have some strange plans again. Looks like pink in pictures, but it is bright red really. Needs to fix lightning on my photo booth. It needs some other fixing too.
  24. Thanks guys! I'm pretty happy about it too. Maybe those wheels are the biggest mistake in this build. They should be silver, not chromed, but seems like I was lazy that time...
  25. Cool build, I like to see Altereds and other bit different Drag Cars too. This one is cool, like the color on it. Very nice engine too, detailing is great. I have never been fan of those spoilers, even if they are useful and I've seen them in many cars. Nice build, thanks for sharing.
