  1. This is incredible! Really great to see '62 Thunderbird built Custom and this one is built very nicely. Paintjob is simply perfect. No orange peel, very shiny and looking realistic all the way. Engine detailing looks amazing too. It's just amazing model, can't say more.
  2. Not all of them! The '64 Dodge 330 "Ramchargers", or Color Me Gone or Maverick version, they are all guite good kits. I'm positively suprised about '34 Ford Pickup too. But some of Lindberg kits are bad, but that means, there is only one way: UP! Project sounds interesting, can't wait to see progress of it. And one good Lindberg kit is '61 Impala Super Stock, both versions of it actually.

    My older builds

I got '64 Dodge 330 "The Ramchargers" finished after '58 Impala. This was built from Lindberg's kit. Engine has some detailing, plug wires, carburetor linkage and fuel lines. It was simple build, but when I was spraying some clear to the body, there came somekind of reaction and I had to remove old paint and clear, and start again. Decals were really tricky, but after all, they are looking ok. Interior has seat belts and some detail painting. This was one year build, but I'm pretty happy with it. I've won Junior category once with this model too.
  4. Now I can say that it's finally finished! Great job with it, this gets me back building my SuperBee... Great color and paintjob looks good too. Steelies are just perfect wheel choice to this one, they fit very nicely with Hemi engine. Detailing is great all over. Really nice build, there is nothing to complaine.
  5. Very nice Ford Pickup! This is someting different, these are very often built Customs or something other than factory stock. Paintjob looks amazing, and color is great. I like the wheels and tires too, they look very autentic. Engine could look even better with some wiring and plumbing, but actually it doesn't matter, because this model is very nice all in all.
  6. Great job on the Monza! These were really popular in DragRacing. Now they are all gone. But this one looks really good. Paintjob is nice, and decals fit very well. I'd like to see some shots from the engine too. Really nice build anyway, and hey: I had the same problem, my post was gone away too...

    My older builds

WHAT?! I posted this here few days ago... Now the post is gone ! Anyway, after that '65 Malibu sedan, I finished '58 Impala Mild Custom. It's built from Revell's Lowrider kit. Painted with metallic blue, and it has few coats of clear. Nothing special with this, cut the rear inner fenders off, because otherwise rear tires wouldn't fit. Engine is of course 348" with some detailing. Interior is simple, I just added few pinstripe decals and did some detail painting. This came out pretty well, upholstered the trunk and added some detail there also.
  8. This is looking cool! These old European or Japanese cars are pretty cool too, and those modifications, you have done to this car, are great. Paintjob and weathering are looking very cool. Engine detailing is very nice also. Only thing, what doesn't fit to my eye is the camber on the wheels.... But in the real car, they are like that too, but it looks bit funny to me, because I see those so rarely... But all in all, really nice build.
  9. Great work John! As always... What material did you use for the header wrap. It looks realistic, and I must also put some header wrap to headers of my NASCAR... This Harley looks very good so far, it's awesome.
  10. Yes, these kits are great to build, but those ejector marks are quite stupid to remove... Anyway, the finished product is (hopefully) worth the job. Your models look very good too, really nice builds they are!
  11. Yes, pictures are very nice! Just like a showroom for new factory stock vehicles. And pics are sharp too, as the models are! Really great job on them both. My favorite is a Camaro, of course I'm Chevy Fan mainly... But models look very good, keep them coming.

    BMGatti

Styrene is shaping really nicely, you got amazing scratch building talents... Well, I build what I can, but you build what you want! Really great progress here. That body would be very nice basis for Old School Drag Racing Altered too, but maybe it's more interesting when it's built like this, because the body is scratchbuilt...
  13. I must continue the engine, but now I did some work for the chassis. I removed two ejector marks from the gas tank with file, and sandpaper. Also removed other two ejector marks just behind the gas tank and some text, like "Revell Monogram..." I put also some putty there, and now some sanding, and then the chassis is in pretty good shape, I didn't find too many things in that, well, the other side might be other thing, I haven't look at it yet. Thanks for looking.
  14. So you are using the kit windows, not windows made from acetate? I've just used Eri Keeper, but maybe you don't have it in the USA. But I like glue, which dries clear, so if there comes some glue to window, it doesn't matter too much, because it dries clear, and no one can see it. Some of you guys, have used Cristal Clear, or something like that, from Microscale. Also some use normal clear for gluing windows, and other clear molded pieces... Hope This Helps...
  15. Great article! Thanks for the information, you all! I must get that, and try. It seems to be very good stuff....
  16. I'm back from Rome! I visited in that Giorni Modellismo. It was pretty good shop, close to Vatican. There were very much models, and some cars and motorbikes. I bought one Tamiya's Porsche 935...This kit The "better" shop, Modellismorossi was really bad. Went there with underground (what an experience!). Then looking for the shop, and when I found it, it was full of RC. There were simply two model kits, one airplane and one ship. I bought nothing from there. Of course I visited in Colosseum, Forum Romano, ST. Peter's Church, Fontana Di Trevi etc... Not only in model shops.
  17. Thanks, Corey for the pictures! They help a lot. Got to continue this build soon, those pics are great. Thanks for the comments, John, Ryan and Danno! Those mold lines and ejector marks are looking bad, and that's why I'll remove them... I'm not so happy with some of my older builds, where are the mold seams and ejector marks... Ryan, the engine plumbing takes some time, but it looks good when finished. It's really worth trying.
  18. That's nice! I like the engine detailing on it, and that manifold looks very good too. Paintjob looks very good, and decals are nicely on their place. Stance looks good, wheels and tires are great. This one is really clean build, and that '61 Dodge is very nice car.

    1936 Ford

That one is Old School! Color is great, and I like that you painted the wheels with that body color also. Paintjob is really glossy, and engine looks good, from what I can see. So maybe engine picture, and one from the interior too would be great to have. But overall, really nice build.
  20. Really nice Race Car! I like the paintjob, it looks very good. Decals are nice, and they fit nicely to the body shapes. Detailing on the engine looks amazing, and overall look is very great. Tires and wheels are very nice too, I like it.
  21. You guys are using the Future Floor Wax, (or what is it) for many different subjects. I'd like to hear all of the ways, you use it, and how? I've been amazed, when I notice future used almost everywhere. So what are the things, you like to do with Future? I've seen some bottles of it here in Finland too, and I've been thinking of buying it, so maybe it would be a good stuff. And I know, that there are many topics about future, but now I'd like to hear all of the ways to use it. Thanks.
  22. Old School IS Cool! Great job with this Altered! I like seeing these, the Golden Era of DragRacing. Budget racer idea is also great, and model is built very nicely. Rust looks very realistic, and yellow paint fits nicely to the body. Detailing is great, and I love the stance of it. Nothing to complaine, it's very beautiful model. Makes me building something same styled from my '32 Ford... Let's see.
  23. Just a little update. Did some bodywork on this one. I sanded the hole thing, so every mold seam doesn't matter anymore. Also there were lots of mold flash in fender flares, window openings etc. I removed them all with hobby knife, and finished with sandpaper. Just next to the headlights, there were some mold flash. That needed bit more sanding, but now it looks alright to me and I hope that they can't bee seen when the primer is on. Also put some putty to the body, just a little more sanding, and I'm ready for first primer coat. AND I still need a picture of Nascar engine, where those lines can be seen. (My earlier post). I can't finish them at this week, but on the next week, I'll be back with this one, maybe. But I have done two of those lines, and I did some test fitting with them, so they fit. The little silver part, where I glued them, is made from Coca Cola can aluminium, which is pretty good stuff for modeling. I've built some parts from it, and works fine. Awful mold seam- needs to be sanded away! Just sanded it with 600 grid paper. Removed all of the mold flash from fender flares...(?)
  24. Just took the engine away from the paint stripping. It's quite white now, but there are some red spots, and also some of those black spots. If I remember correctly, this engine was an test piece, where I tested using red on black primer. But now, I give a light sanding to it, then primer coat, which shows all of the mistakes. Then I'll fix them and new primer coat, maybe. Then the black paint. Or maybe I do it other way, so there comes less primer under the base coat. I didn't strip the paint off from the transmission, because it hasn't too thick paintcoat.
  25. Last time I said that it's real and I was wrong, but this time I'm going to be right. That needs to be REAL. Or then it is 1/2 model, or something like that big... Let's see what it really is, but it looks like real to me.
