It would have been around 1981, I would have been 11ish, and this kit just jumped out at me from the Kmart shelf. id love to find a complete unbuilt kit or a very easily disassembled one to relive my younger days.

Hope these pics help some. This is the Belvedere I kit that I got in a trade last year. After looking it over it appears that I may have a couple of pieces that are missing.

Since we’re speaking on airbrushes, my wife got me a paint booth for my birthday last month so I wouldn’t “keep opening and closing the garage door” everytime I went outside to paint something. I was looking on Amazon for a good compressor and airbrush to start using and have narrowed it down to this setup. Anyone have any opinions or suggestions for a beginner?

Made this at work out of some scrap pieces of 1/2 inch PVC sheet.

I’m looking for these roof parts from this kit by MPC. It’s the pieces needed to make the full roof.

I enjoy this hobby for a list of reasons: 1) I enjoy the peace and quiet of my “man cave” just me and some good music. 2) The camaraderie of the people on this forum (and a few others) 3) The fact that most of the kits I build are definitely out of my reach financially, so I can own those dream cars in scale and build them however I would in 1:1

I’d say the Revell 68-69 Charger kit would supply everything you need and if you wait until next week , Hobby Lobby will have it for 40% off along with all their other models so that would make it worth buying for parts.

I started one of these as a pro touring/road race build. I’m using an AMT NASCAR kit as a donor.

They are a scam!!! If you look at their photos, it’s a photos of a Hobby Lobby shelf.

I use my iPhone for everything nowadays and I have no computer. It used to be easy for me to post pics of WIPs or if someone was looking for something. Now I can’t since I don’t have any photo hosting or anything like that. Is this going to be a permanent thing for the future or will it be going back to normal soon?

I would say the best bets would be either the AMT 71 Duster or possibly the Revell 68-69 Dart kits.

I’ve seen people use this for making vinyl roofs. It has an almost sandpaper texture that looks pretty good.
