Agreed! Hot Wheels has gone with the weird designs to get around license fees with manufacturers....and when they do replicate a real car, it has the oversized rear wheels (COPO Camaro, Hellcat Challenger, etc). Retail outlets have a poor selection of Matchboxes so I go kinda overboard at the quarterly toy show with a vendor out of TN. Big fan of the Greenlight and M2's but the store employee exclusives (aka chase variants) ruin any chance of completing sets.

There is some impressive stuff coming out next year.....Plymouth Savoy, Chevy Nova, Buick Skylark.....but one not listed shows up at the 40 minute mark! That will be my holy grail!!

Reba and Vince Gill did an acoustic set from the Grant Ole Opry, sans live audience earlier tonight. I had her gospel song "Give This World Back to God' at my dad's funeral. I know she is ten years older than me, but I would still leave my wife and kids Christmas morning for that woman.

Cool, Unique, or Unusual Cars on Craigslist

Czech made Tatra 77.....a Tatra showed up a couple years ago at the local Concours show courtesy of the Lane Motor Museum. Their's had an excellent restoration and remarkably quiet. Any engine pics? It's air-cooled hemi design and looks huge but I believe it's only about 3 litres. the clam shell 'hood' allowed great access and it looked like it was cut out of one solid chunk of aluminum. -

I've only purchased two copies of FSM through the years as the automotive kits seemed to be the redheaded step child. No offense to those who build ships, planes and other type kits, they are just not my thing. Same reason I haven't been to the local IPMS shows as they are heavily military and very little automotive. -
Open, but complete....hopefully the hood decal works! Cost about same as a new kit The fun was laying out the parts and showing my 13yr old son THIS is a Jeep. The four door that I rented a couple year ago was very nice, but this is what the Jeep was meant to be. No back up camera, no CD player, no cruise control.......

Atlantis Models has bought another lot of tooling/molds.....
HomerS replied to Dave Van's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
Since Atlantis has an agreement with Tom Daniel, perhaps they got his molds from Revell..... -

Wanted the Satellite but had to buy the lot to get it. Only the Thunderbolt is open but appears complete They had the Earnhardt car listed only as a die cast (the listing only showed a generic box). I wasn't expecting an older Chrysler (kinda nice for being a bank)

Parts truck. To fix my GMC. If you guys need any parts, this one may get blown apart. Front axle is beyond repair I think. I need bumpers and spare. All else probably available if you need. Or it might become a hot rod? Ideas? Resto-rod! Got this one at a toy show a couple years ago. Just looks great in that color. Looking to add disc brakes without overpowering the clean look and de-chrome the engine

just buy a plane ticket!
HomerS replied to Spruslayer's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
After the luggage fee, take off/landing tax and all the recent Covid-19 add on fees, a $1,000 round trip ticket may be on the low side..... -
Saw a yard sale on Craig's List for miscellaneous stuff and found some ECHL bobbleheads for the local team. Of course it was after the time of the sale so with little hope I reached out to see if they are still available.....they were. Loaded up this a.m. and arrived at the sale. In talking with the home owners, the gentleman said there are some programs over in the book stack. Fanning through them, the holy grails appear! Programs from WHA and AHL teams of the early 70's to the early 80's. Not mint but very fair prices!!

Ever had one of those little corner that you rarely venture into and then see something that reminds you how long it's been since you've been there....

I may have to give it a go on the dogs. One is a Husky/Aussie mix and we had the typical one day of spring before the temps hit the mid/upper 80's, The groomer at his vet isn't open yet but others in the area are booked out several weeks.

Got a haircut so no longer look like a muppet. Great Clips were maxing out on their sign in at three hours waits this week. There's nothing i can think of that at this point in my life that I would wait three hours for! The local one had no wait and three technicians. She had it was a zoo last weekend as they had a two to three hour wait.

Etouffee made with shrimp and alligator andouille sausage. The only seafood the wife eats is BBQ salmon. I'm not a big fan of fish but love all the other creatures of the sea. My wife is a nurse so when her 12's fall on the weekend, time for me to break out the stuff she won't eat.

I was hoping to find a can of Pickle Rick Pringles but they never seemed to hit the shelves around here. It's been several months since these were on the internet but last week going through Meijers the wife found this one all by itself. My youngest can have the contents, I just enjoy the show...... I'm Pickle Rick!!

I remember this car from the opening credits of Hogan's Heroes as a kid. It wasn't packaged properly but got a reasonable settlement from the seller so need to do some door and side window repairs

Took piano lessons from 5th thru 8th grade as enjoyed watching him, Elton John, Billy Joel, etc play. The nun told me their form was all wrong as you should positioned over the keys like there was a ball in your hand. They made a well paid career of it while I never touched a piano after 8th grade graduation...... One last "Woo"....RIP
