  1. 1966 Cadillac Closest to a perfect '10' condition I've seen.....
  2. Had to get one for myself after my teenage son came home with one. Shame we can't get it in plastic......
  3. 60 Cadillac....got the chance to speak to the driver. Older gentleman has owed it for 35 year. Bought it from the original owner. Original vinyl top
  4. Didn't expect to find one of these at Hobby Lobby.........
  5. Never did I imagine that I would ever say 'watching an NHL playoff game' for my birthday (today) but to watch the Blue Jackets come back from a 3-0 deficit to win in overtime was a great ending to the day Made Jambalaya with alligator sausage and shrimp for dinner.
  6. Just found out from a co-worker who had plans attending
  7. This was my first import and I didn't think about it until the battery died. Has to use an adjustable wrench to get the cables off and bought a set of metric sockets the next day. I was single and under 30 (neither good for insurance on a car like this). There was a 25% surcharge on the ES or the RT because of the 24v version of the 3 litre. Even with a spotless driving record, they wouldn't talk about insuring these.
  8. Amen! I have one son finishing up college and one in jr high. I'm disappointed that they teach kids even less life skills now than when I went!! No home ec, no auto mechanics, no wood shop! My oldest was working for a catering company when one of the vans wouldn't start after and event. There was about 20 people standing around with no clue what to do so my sons grabbed jumper cables and started it. Even more shocking is the number of kids not playing sports. Last year in rec league baseball, my youngest played one team that had to forfeit (played the game for experience) as they only had eight kids? He had another game that the opponent had to reschedule as they only have nine kids on the team and only ONE pitcher (they had played the day before so do to the pitch count he couldn't pitch back to back...their relief pitchers threw like Ricky Vaughn!) Nine years ago when my oldest played these same teams, they had enough players to field two and three teams respectively!
  9. No definitive date..... I had a base model...still miss that car. I wanted either the blue or the dark green, but it was two years old with 13k miles and $4,000 below market so silver was okay! Sports car that was still usable in the winter because of the FWD, except when we had a freak storm that dumped over a foot of snow (only had about 5" of ground clearance).
  10. No definitive date.....
  11. I found that after moving the wife divided box contents into "keep" and "why did we even keep this".
  12. Congratulations!!! Great looking Caddy. Please include interior pics later.....
  13. Same auction......too nice to pass up!
  14. Auction win. Yeah I know the Vega is coming back but this is an original (missing the engine)....and it was very cheap
  15. From Yahoo's home page... 2021 Ford F-150 Limited 4x2 SuperCrew starts at $72,520 Seriously??
  16. The Goodwill in my part of the state outsourced pick up so you have to PAY them to take stuff for them to resell! I donate to St Vincent DePaul or the Vietnam Vet thrift store. Either can be done on line and will pick up at no charge.
  17. Try moving to the house next door! My first house was a two bedroom ranch, but after getting married and having kids (not necessarily in that order) we needed a bigger house. The sweet elderly next door passed away so we bought the three bedroom cape cod next door from her estate. When you move, you box the stuff and drive the truck to the new place. Me? I was the mule that had to haul everything. For the basement, I took out the window and tossed everything that would fit into the driveway and family took it into the 'new place'. At least we didn't have to unpack anything and it makes you sort into 'keep' and 'why did we keep this??'
  18. https://www.facebook.com/Carscoffeewestchester1/?hc_ref=ARQIZ4ooqbI-NKo6f816LOtM2IdVFFFU1lTHXYQEOZrr9pEBVPDseRmwaN6PHSdiHJM&ref=nf_target&__tn__=kC-R The young man that owned it had it for a couple years and was doing some restoration to it w/o altering it too much. Mitsubishi built them under license from Willys starting in 1953 based on the CJ-3. The hood on this one isn't original as it's stampede Willys but was a direct replacement. The pipes through the dash Defroster! Engine is a diesel Mitsubishi 4 cylinder. Notice that although it's right hand drive, the gas tank remained on the left side.
  19. A Mitsubishi Jeep....... Built under a license from Willy's by Mitsubishi in the 50's until 1998
  20. Agreed! Hot Wheels has gone with the weird designs to get around license fees with manufacturers....and when they do replicate a real car, it has the oversized rear wheels (COPO Camaro, Hellcat Challenger, etc). Retail outlets have a poor selection of Matchboxes so I go kinda overboard at the quarterly toy show with a vendor out of TN. Big fan of the Greenlight and M2's but the store employee exclusives (aka chase variants) ruin any chance of completing sets.
  21. There is some impressive stuff coming out next year.....Plymouth Savoy, Chevy Nova, Buick Skylark.....but one not listed shows up at the 40 minute mark! That will be my holy grail!!
  22. Reba and Vince Gill did an acoustic set from the Grant Ole Opry, sans live audience earlier tonight. I had her gospel song "Give This World Back to God' at my dad's funeral. I know she is ten years older than me, but I would still leave my wife and kids Christmas morning for that woman.
  23. Didn't 'need' it but it was only $5....nothing broke and the chrome is in great shape
  24. Czech made Tatra 77.....a Tatra showed up a couple years ago at the local Concours show courtesy of the Lane Motor Museum. Their's had an excellent restoration and remarkably quiet. Any engine pics? It's air-cooled hemi design and looks huge but I believe it's only about 3 litres. the clam shell 'hood' allowed great access and it looked like it was cut out of one solid chunk of aluminum.
  25. Tom asked if you had a dog to include that note in your order and he included a treat for them. The wife laughed that both dogs and I awaited the delivery with the same looks on our faces.
