I bought the pre-assembled model as it comes in dark red or blue, but the kit comes only in the dark red. I don't need to drop $20 on the model for the wheels and axles separated but I do feel like I'm being outwitted by the situation. I will have to grab a pair of the Gorilla gloves as the rims are hard to get much leverage on.

There's a yellow one in that batch which is a limited color (Accelerate Yellow) on the 1:1 version. The second wave has the charcoal gray w/ black stripes

The city is looking to expand the street by taking 18 inches off the property on both sides of the street, reducing the space between the sidewalk and the street. Since this is for the 'public good' isn't the city required to pay for the property?

I'm looking to do minor detailing of the Maisto NSX diecast. I wanted the blue (assembled) version instead of the maroon kit but cannot get the rims off the axle. I checked YouTube but the only video is another brand and the rim pops off the metal axle much easier than what I'm experiencing. The spokes are thin so I'm concerned about trashing using tools to pull them..... Any suggestions?

What non-auto model did you get today?

Checked another local Ollies....no 48 Fords or Suburbans there. About a dozen BRR's and stage coach kits. Handful of the Testors 58 Impala die cast convertibles.

Key Lime Shrimp Burrito with Pico De Gallo and extra sharp Cheddar cheese (hand shredded ...no bagged stuff) I'm fat for a reason! My boys are spoiled as a youth, my mom owned her owned her own beauty shop so she worked Saturdays. My Saturday lunch was can of Chef Boyardee as my father could burn a salad. I like to cook and would be even fatter if I did it full time. My mom was a great cook.....never measured anything and it came out the same every time!

Got a text tonight from one of my closest & dearest friends (her mom thought we would get married) that her daughter got engaged tonight. Very happy for her, but then I remember when visiting her in the hospital when her daughter was born and I told her that means we're getting old!

Grabbed a couple of the Suburbans. No 48 Fords. The only die cast they had was the pagani huayra @ $12.99

My sons wanted to know where the door handle was on the 2020 Corvette. I presume it was part of the door vent but I told him to ask the gentleman who owns it. The guy went over and opened the door to show him....then asked if the 13 year old (both my sons are above the norm on the growth chart....my oldest is 6'5") if wanted to get behind the wheel. Then the owner fired it up. I passed on the opportunity as I didn't to have to crawl out of it. I got behind the wheel of a Mercedes AMG GT and thought the dealership was going to need the Jaws of Life to get me out as my knees wouldn't bend enough to get out.

One of my furry foursome. Brian Griffin (the teenager named him!) looked like one of his K9 teeth had broken off so made an appointment to get his teeth cleaned. He had two chips (neither current when I adopted him) and the big guy had little if any care before he came here four years ago. Three beds, two cushions on the couch and a chair...he picks the smallest bed as apparently the pain meds were working well. He did have two teeth extracted (K9 tooth was broken off when I first met him and vet said it's not any worse). No chew toys for three weeks. Seriously? He is a nine year old 'puppy'! As long as he's happy and healthy....

She's in the hands of the best! My mom's brother had cancer and the local Dr's told him there was nothing they could do so he went to the Cleveland Clinic. They found other affected body parts and came up with a treatment plan. He said it gave him several years that he never expected to have.

We have a mouse issue (not like the Geico commercial!) It happened once before when we left a cabinet on the front porch and Mickey and friends took shelter in the base so we unknowingly brought them in the house. Went to Lowes and grabbed a couple of the traps and the issue was gone in just a few days. This time, I presume they came in through boxes delivered to the house. I thought I saw one downstairs but before I got to go get traps again, one made it's way to the first floor bathroom. I went to Ace Hardware and got the Tomcat traps (they only had one style, which only opens about the thickness of my thumb)...needless to say, they were not resolving the problem. I went Lowes and got the ones like I had before that open about 90 degrees and they've been going for the peanut butter fairly regularly. Now I apparently have a smarter one as the one trap which has been the most successful, it keeps eating the peanut butter but not tripping it! This time I loaded it so it would activate with less pressure AND put some back farther on the hinge to make it stick its head in farther. Just looked, it took the peanut butter at the end, left the one back in farther and yep, didn't trip it! At this rate, it's going to die of heart disease or obesity!

Hobby Lobby re-opening

Since all the shows have been cancelled this year (so far) I grabbed this here. Wish they would make a four food version... -
Nothing automotive at the one near me. Several military ships and planes. I did grab one of the two Scooby Doo biplanes.

As I taught both my boys when they were young and in their car seats.....the pick-n-flick. Sometimes your nose itches and when scratching you excavate a moon rock and need to dispose of it.....right out the car window (so long as the car is not in motion or it will come back in).

I go by the philosophy of a local guy who came back from WWII and realized that if you give kids a place to play and help them organize sports, they stay out of trouble. 70 years later that organization STILL exists and offers baseball, softball and basketball from youth to 8th grade. I've bought cheap kits and given them to co-workers kids or friends of my sons to get the kids off the electronics. My teenager goes with me to the Cars-n-Coffee events and I teach him the history of the older cars and as well as the high end stuff so he ends up buying kits and die casts. I do the same with Hot Wheels at Halloween to give them a break from vegitating in front of the TV -
No but she had a great sense of humor so we could both laugh it off..... Ironically, my wife of almost 23 years is left handed (different woman)
-
I was in my early twenties and got set up with a beautiful, tall blonde (through a mutual friend) that was left handed. Had an absolute text book perfect first date.....until the kiss goodnight and we tilted our heads (didn't take into account lefties tilt left) resulted in a head butt.
