About 20 years ago, I had to go to Denver for business so the nerd in me wanted to go to the mint. As part of the tour, the guide asked how many people have spare change laying in a drawer, car console, etc. and of course everyone raised their hands. He went on to say if everyone in the country put that back into circulation at one time, they would have to shut down the mint for three years.

I try to avoid to 'live' line for many reasons: Cashier that feels the need to discuss with you every item you are purchasing Cashier that gives your $0.90 in change as all dimes as they never mastered that quarters/dimes/nickels breakdown Cashier that asks if you want to sign up for a credit card, join the shoppers club, donate to the store's cause, etc...... Get behind the shopper who is digging for the $0.10 off coupon Get behind the shopper that feels the need to explain to the cashier how Colon Blow 3000 has changed their life Thanks for bagging the rotisserie chicken with the ice cream and stick butter As for the one that goes digging for their payment source, the wife gets embarrassed as I frequently express my surprise that we weren't shopping on free grocery day!

If you dated or were a personal acquaintance with the person featured on US Currency, you should not be permitted to use the self check out at the store! Seriously, I was at WM this morning and there was an elderly lady elbow deep in her purse digging for pennies to put into the machine. Meanwhile, the other seven machines had customers come and go (in some cases twice)! I've been eligible to join AARP myself for half a decade now, but if I'm using cash I may put in something close but certainly not performing a deep excavation for that last few cents.

Anyone bought a car on-line (other than eBay)? I had to replace mine recently and went to the local CarMax lot. I was looking at the Chrysler 300S and all the cars on the lot looked like they took a shortcut through the shrubs and badly scratched on both sides! I can buy on-line and get it shipped to the local CarMax but their version of great condition and mine didn't line up. Left there and went to a local, well respected dealership (whom I've bought from before) to look at a 300S in bright blue, again in 'excellent condition' per their on-line website. Apparently the previous owners were the Duke boys as there was a huge dent in the rocker panel that it cause the front drivers side vendor to bow outward.

I know that I will never find all three in stores unless they look like they've been punted from the store room to the shelf out front......

According to the off brand Yellow Pages that was tossed on the porch Friday, there are still FIVE Toys-R-Us in the area....... In the words of Homer Simpson....."they have the Internet on computers now!" Who uses a phone book?

Got an e-mail today from FedEx that my package was delivered....on August 21st! Um NO! I already contacted the seller and they issued the credit as it was showing 'pending' on FedEx tracker for ten days. The seller was only a four hour drive from my house!! Tracker shows it was delivered at the front door. It may have been (at least not my front door) but it went missing for almost three weeks so hopefully someone else enjoys it

Nooooooooooooooo!!!!!! Lubys has filed for Chapter 7, which means Fuddruckers will be going away! While on vacation in Myrtle Beach last year, I would have off-roaded the rental car to get in there (fortunately the wife was driving). I teach the teenager the joys of clogging an artery and later a toilet but soon they will be gone......

When I worked part time at Dick's Sporting Goods, that was my only complaint. Things would get moved and no notice. I'm old school and appreciate customer service so I hated having a customer asking for something in team sports and I would walk them to where it was yesterday afternoon when I worked. Today it's two aisles over and on an end cap.

I bought the pre-assembled model as it comes in dark red or blue, but the kit comes only in the dark red. I don't need to drop $20 on the model for the wheels and axles separated but I do feel like I'm being outwitted by the situation. I will have to grab a pair of the Gorilla gloves as the rims are hard to get much leverage on.

There's a yellow one in that batch which is a limited color (Accelerate Yellow) on the 1:1 version. The second wave has the charcoal gray w/ black stripes

The city is looking to expand the street by taking 18 inches off the property on both sides of the street, reducing the space between the sidewalk and the street. Since this is for the 'public good' isn't the city required to pay for the property?

I'm looking to do minor detailing of the Maisto NSX diecast. I wanted the blue (assembled) version instead of the maroon kit but cannot get the rims off the axle. I checked YouTube but the only video is another brand and the rim pops off the metal axle much easier than what I'm experiencing. The spokes are thin so I'm concerned about trashing using tools to pull them..... Any suggestions?

My boys are spoiled as a youth, my mom owned her owned her own beauty shop so she worked Saturdays. My Saturday lunch was can of Chef Boyardee as my father could burn a salad. I like to cook and would be even fatter if I did it full time. My mom was a great cook.....never measured anything and it came out the same every time!
