  1. Awesome job!! Love that it's not an over-the-top custom, but rather has a very subtle, yet very different look. A bit of European styling as well. Nicely done!
  2. I was just sharing some of the responses here with my wife. She's an avid supporter of my vice,...er, hobby. Anyhow, her response was great, "I'd rather you were doing that than doing someone else." Man, I love that woman!!!!
  3. Like many here have already stated, I buy to build. Last year I found an old AMT '64 Pontiac Bonneville convertible kit at NNL West I simply had to have. Rare kit and consequently, not cheap, but as we hear often, "My dad had one and I needed to build a replica of his car." I bought it and have every intention of building it. NO STASHING HERE!
  4. Don't really know, I've had to get so creative with finding storage for all of them I've forgotten where i've put many of them. Every now and then I'll open a box from this closet or a bin from that corner of the attic and rediscover a dozen or so kits I'd completely forgotten I had.
  5. In deed, it is 'Duel' which was the first effort by little-known director Steven Spielberg. I actually thought this was pretty good, given it was a made-for-TV movie.
  6. John, these are great, but as this is not a site geared to the 1:1 scale, I must ask where are the models you refer to? ; )
  7. Here's an example of how keywords/tags appear with your topic:
  8. Tags and keywords are just added info that provide more detail for the search engine. When you do a search, the search engine will search for titles but will also look for any added key words or tags. And, if you review the titles on this forum, you'll see that those who've included tags and keywords have them show up in smaller print just below the topic title. Always a good idea to include them.
  9. Sorry, but this one's NOT on Aaron, this one's on the receivers. How many well-thrown balls ended up as dropped balls? Announcers conceded as many as 8 by half-time. One of them would have been a touchdown and another would have put them in side the 10. I think the GB receiving core would tell you the same. Not saying Aaron was his usual 'lights out' self, but by no means was he solely responsible for this loss. Pack will be back next year!!!
  10. Don't count on it,.....GO PACK GO!!! Seriously though, may the best team win, Good luck!
  11. LIKEWISE!!! See ya next month.
  12. I don't have a problem with the topic titles as long as the 'tags' associated with it include some reference to what the topic's about. DON'T FORGET TO ADD KEY WORDS IN THE TAG AREA BEFORE POSTING A NEW TOPIC.
  13. Packers beat the Giants by double digits tomorrow and then beat San Francisco by 2 touchdowns next week. Anticipating a SB XXXI repeat: Packers vs Pat's, Pack wins by 9 or more. That's my prediction and I'm stickin' to it. Reggie White's up there somewhere smiling, (but wishing the pack would play a little better on defense). GO PACK GO!!!!!
  14. Thanks for the info Rob!! Not using photo-etch this time, but if I like this kit enough, I may opt for a more detailed version later. This one will have the braided plug wires, however.
  15. They're the decals that came with it, just sprayed dullcoat over the top.
  16. Likin' it so far!!
  17. First 'OTW' post, so please be gentle. I'm working on a '67 Corvette Build -stock - but will add some additional detail as I go. First question to those who've successfully completed this kit: I'm concerned about ride height, as many photos of the completed model show what seems to me to be an unusually 'high-riding' stance. Is that correct? In the second photo I've indicated the area I intend to re-work to bring the rear suspension closer to the body, but wanted some input from anyone who's familiar with the kit/1:1 car as to whether that's accurate. Also, are there any other aspects of this kit that I should be aware of? Appreciate any and all feedback.
  18. I only noticed because, as a former auto glass installer, I remember what a 'bugger' that little bit of roof hanging over the windshield was to work around, especially if the windshield had chrome trim included!!
  19. Interesting choice to slide the top back, eliminating the 'sun-visor'. I might have added to the forward area of the raised rear portion of the top to contour with the side 'relief' areas just behind the doors (See example below). What you've done looks great though, looking forward to seeing the finished product .
  20. Actually, these are 'Starfire' caps. The 'Fiesta' caps had a concentric circle pattern while the 'Starfires' had the Saturn image between the flipper bars.
  21. Not only are you prolific, but quality wasn't sacrificed for the sake of quantity - Nice job on all!!
  22. Super-clean, period-perfect builds. Well done!!
  23. My resolution is to do my best to ignore the imaginary critics that live in my shop and just build for the fun of it. Something I've struggled to do of late. Have to remind myself that mistakes are part of the learning process.
  24. Rule number one here at Styrene Anonymous: last names are not necessary, only open, honest discourse.
