  1. I try and get to both the Feb. and the Sept. swap at DuPage, as I usually go with a couple of guys and we go out to lunch afterwards. Hope to see you there, as I'll be wearin' my red hat.
  2. I was lucky enough to be able to tour the AMT plant in Detroit area back in 1976 with some fellow club members of The Old Town Escorts from Chicago. Dang, I wish that I had taken my camera.
  3. I just sold an original Black Widow kit last month and the buyer wanted a deeper discount. I said no way, and he bought it anyway. Some people expect you to sell the kits at "give away" prices.
  4. Very nice build on that Land rover Hugh, as I have an ESCI LWB Rover kit I hope to build someday like the one I rode in when we were in Bora Bora.
  5. Jim, go to www.carsonline.com and you'll find some Road Runners for under $50K.
  6. Have you checked with Chief Joseph at Fireball Models as he has some awesome lookin' carbs for sale?
  7. Didn't Slixx offer the Tin Indian decals, or no?
  8. Sorry to hear that you lost a friend. That's a beautiful job you've done on that Fury and the other Mopars look great also. I just love dem Mopars!
  9. Since I'm a "rattle can man," I don't use Bob's paints, however I know him well and he's a great guy to talk to. Either call him or e-mail him and I'm sure he can & will answer all your questions. BTW his Kustom Khrome is really nice if you need any parts re-plated. And NO I don't get a commission either.
  10. That's one of the reasons I never paint spoons, and go right for the car bodies.
  11. Yeah I know, as if I didn't marry my better half I'd probably be dead by now. And no I'm not kiddin.'
  12. Congrats!
  13. May she R.I.P.
  14. Lookin' real good Ben.
  15. Looks like a great kit as I saw it at my local hobby shop the other day. Originally I was going to get one when they were released, but changed my mind as I already have too much to build. However I'm looking forward to the California Flash kit and hopefully some AWB Mopar kits in the future.
  16. I was hoping for better news on Harry than that. C'mon guys, more prayers.
  17. Wait, our "winter" is comin' and you can bet on it.
  18. Sorry to hear that there has been little improvement, and I sincerely hope that things change for the better soon. I'll continue to keep him in my prayers.
  19. The GOOD news is, that it isn't my ride.
  20. I've already got it marked on my calendar as I usually make both shows yearly. A great show, and a great place to say hi to all the modeler's I've come across over the years.
  21. You can e-mail Bob Dahl at Kustom Khrome at: geebeed@gmail.com
  22. Beautiful job on that transporter, congrats!
  23. You're right Ace as a friend of mine has one on his mid'60's Dodge just like you've shown, and I have the single remote oil filter on my ride. One line in, and one line out.
  24. I sometimes think about gettin' back to buildin' big rigs, but I just don't have the room for them. i haven't built one since the early 80's if I'm not mistaken.
