  1. You didn't wipe the paint off the foil emblems as yet? I've never tried it yet, however some of the guys that have done it say they wipe the emblems with a swab (Q Tip) or a toothpick dipped in thinner to get the paint off the emblems as soon as possible. I myself am going to give this method a try next month.
  2. Very nice, and that is the AMT '60 Lincoln Continental Convertible kit # 4460 and not SMP.
  3. I've also experienced sciatic pain in the past and remember a LOT of pain sitting, standing, and laying down. I wish you the best of luck Harry and hope that things go well for you from here on end.
  4. Maybe you got the parts from AFX in Scale and I don't think that they're in business anymore. I would check with Kevin at Missing Link for those wheels.
  5. Will you be doin' a top chop on it Ken?
  6. I just got some needed parts for an upcoming build that I'll be starting next month when I come out of my hiatus, from Norm Veber. Great service and great guy to deal with.
  7. Well said Gregg, mahalo.
  8. Thanks for the photo Sam as now I'll definately have to pass on this one, as I already have 4 or 5 boat kits in my stash.
  9. I was SO happy when I did my first BMF job. NO more painting trim with a brush and messing it up. I even went so far as to "crush" a body in my bare hand because I screwed up the trim by painting it. And the body had a really nice paint job if I recall. BMF is the way to go.
  10. Moving is a SCARY thought for me.
  11. You can also get Spaz-Stix at hobby shops that carry R/C stuff, as the paint is made to use on clear Lexan bodies.
  12. Paint fumes not only get into your lungs but can also damage your liver too. I myself need to wear my respirator more often, or every time I paint.
  13. I believe the stripe could be deleted, but not the wheel trim.
  14. The wheel lip trim is easy to get, however I had heard that the rocker mouldings are hard to come by.
  15. Last summer a few friends and I helped a good buddy and his wife move, and after seein' all the junk that had been accumulating in his garage I saw that I need to get rid of more stuff in my own house/garage also.
  16. I'm prayin' for you too Harry, so hang in there as ya gotta believe.
  17. I built a '57 Ford earlier this year, and decal #19 is for the horn button on the steering wheel.
  18. Congrats!
  19. Those fender mounted turn signals were optional and did not come standard with either the Super Bee or the Coronet R/T, as I know from personal experience. Yes, I just love dem Mopars!
  20. Did you get the BFG T/A's in black or white resin? Thanks.
  21. Yes, I did as I remember when he first built that Rampside. We both belonged to the Old Town Escorts Model Car Club back in the late 70's & early 80's
  22. I was at the DuPage Fairgrounds yesterday in Wheaton for their semi annual swap meet and as always a good time, seeing the many people I've known in this hobby over all these years. Saw BIGTRUCK there also. Didn't get to buy much, only the latest issue (Contest) of Model Cars which is great and a few Hot Wheels for my grandson.
  23. Awesome build!
  24. We're you able to stop at Portillo's or Lou Malnati's while your were in town, or no? When I graduated from high school, I was glad to get out of there and never looked back. Never went to any of the school reunions.
  25. I also attended the Wheaton swap meet at the DuPage Fairgrounds and picked up the 2016 edition of Model Cars Contest Issue and a few Hot Wheels for the grandson.
