  1. I personally have little to no interest in "pony cars" other than maybe the Challengers & 'Cudas of the 70's. I did own a Camaro at one time and it was fun, however I had to trade it, as I needed a truck for work.
  2. I did this one back in the early 70's with AMT Lacquer spray cans..................................................
  3. Very good and great results with the hard work of your niece. Congrats! Back in the 60's I had worked in a grocery store for two years, to save up enough money to buy my first car, as my parents certainly didn't have it.
  4. You're doin' great Andy and I'm really likin' your build.
  5. My wife and I shop at Publix when we're in Florida and rent a condo there. And I know that my brother used to shop at Publix when he lived in Florida also.
  6. I'm with Harry and Spax-Stix is my choice also. You can get it where they sell radio control cars like Hobbytown USA.
  7. I like the color combo on your Ford build Bruce, and if you ever get tired of it, send it to me.
  8. While I don't know what it's like, I truly believe that if I ever moved out of the Chicagoland area, that I would surely miss a LOT of the food that is offered. I still remember the hot dogs and beef sandwiches from the 50's when I did live in Chicago. Think that they sold beef sandwiches for 50 cents at a stand under the Damen Ave. El tracks.
  9. It IS isn't it? I haven't been to Portillo's yet this week, but it's only Wednesday. I also checked on the upcoming Hooters not too far from Protillo's , but it's a couple months from being open yet.
  10. Yes those Lambo's are nice as we had a couple at one of the cruise nights I attend. The owners said they were out of place there, and I told them that I like all kinds of cars.
  11. That has nothing at all to do with getting older, and hopefully someday you'll get there also.
  12. Vacation maybe???
  13. To some older folks, they are also known as the "rusty years."
  14. I was at a model show yesterday and at the swap meet there were some great deals to be had, like brand new kits for $20, a '67 Barracuda kit for $90, and even a high($200-$400)dollar kit for only $20. You gotta shop around and you may get lucky.
  15. Free air for a quarter? That's a screamin' deal as I had to put air in my wheelbarrow, and it cost me $1.50 to start that air pump. WOW!
  16. The models on the display tables at today's GTR show looked great, and the "trunk sale" swap meet had LOTS of vendors this morning. I was vending for 'bout three hours or so, and thinned downed the herd a little bit, and also picked up a kit for a "screamin' deal."
  17. The MPC '57 Chevy and '53 Ford pickup kits had a really nice gasser frame, as I built the '57 Chevy and used the same frame on my '46 Chevy gasser.
  18. Good luck to your wife, and hopefully they'll be able to find the problem and fix it also. Hang in there Richard and stay by her side.
  19. I had heard that a Portillo's was in the works for the Tampa Bay area if I'm not mistaken.
  20. I thoroughly agree with you as it is up to the PEOPLE to take responsibility when they buy games, guns, knives, and when they ride bicycles and drive cars.
  21. Wow, that Mitchell came out lookin' great Josh, however when and if I build planes I do them in 1/48th scale as that is small enough for me.
  22. Lookin' real good so far Tom.
  23. I was riding "shotgun" on the way to a model club meeting tonight, and the way people are driving on the Interstate makes one wonder why there aren't even more highway deaths???
  24. That's what I thought.
