  1. That's what I had for dinner the other night, Portillo's Italian Beef w/Fries. I'm lucky enough to have a Portillo's less than 10 miles from home, and a couple of weeks ago I traveled 65 miles to a new Portillo's by invitation only and that one opened earlier this week.
  2. The judges DO look at the underside of the hood to see if it's painted.
  3. I was happy to get a package from Summit today with a stainless steel exhaust tip for my daily driver. It covers the end of the stock exhaust pipe well and I like the added "bling."
  4. I first primer the part, then spray (Krylon Short Cuts) gloss black enamel, and let it dry. Then I spray a couple of light coats of Spaz-Stix Mirror Chrome and it seems to work just fine.
  5. So was the thief a "raider."
  6. Very nice Michael, and I just love dem Mopars!
  7. Several years ago I spent $150 for a JoHan '63 Dodge Polara Hardtop kit, and I have yet to build it. Oh well. I also paid $140 a couple years back for the one and only release of AMT's Ski-Drag Boat kit, and I'm hopin' to start that later this year.
  8. In my "heyday" the Cragar wheels seemed more popular than the Keystones, however like Harry had said that it's a matter of preference.
  9. Their heads are already there, and that's why they can't focus on driving.
  10. The Ventura model was a Catalina "upgrade."
  11. People need to "wake up" of stay home!!!
  12. People waiting to/or crossing the busy streets with their eyes on their smart(?) phone/ iPods.
  13. Very nice Harry, as I'm a fan of Spaz-Stix Mirror Chrome spray myself. Good stuff!
  14. Good luck to you Bill, and hopefully all will be well real soon.
  15. While I don't know if we'll get the Ranchero in 2017, but maybe in 2018 as we WILL get a '57 Ranchero kit, that's a "given! I'm not really lookin' for any more releases or re-issues as I have PLENTY to build already, and right now I'm on a hiatus from building also.
  16. Very nice build on that Deuce, and I was lucky enough to have a little chat with Dan Gurney back in '67 while attending the Grand Prix of the United States at Watkin's Glen, New York.
  17. Agreed, and it makes me wonder why many people take so many "selfies" when they would see a LOT more by simply turning their camera around, instead of being "stuck" on themselves???
  18. I went to a cruise night tonight for a few hours and the heat really wasn't that bad.
  19. Thanks for the info, even if it's not what we want to hear.
  20. Hands down, it's got to be Portillo's as their food is all high quality and their menu includes the best Chicago hot dog, great burgers, the best Italian beef, awesome fries, etc.
  21. VERY nice build, and I just love dem Mopars!
  22. Good luck with your Marine, and I heard Estes Park is just great as I have a buddy that lives in the Denver area.
  23. I've been using lacquer paints for my bodies for many years with great results. I only use enamels for brush painting engine blocks, small parts, and detailing., etc. The lacquers that I use are Tamiya, Testors, Black Gold, Dupli-Color, and MCW and they're all compatible with each other.
  24. Good luck on your recovery James, and keep the faith.
  25. I saw that "Silver Bullet" a few years back at a nostalgia drag meet, and even took a photo of it.This site of George Klass is phenomenal to say the least, and there's enough reference photos to "boggle the mind."
