  1. The engine should be a 383 as that was the stock engine for the '68 Road Runner with the Hemi being an option.
  2. At $75.oo I might be interested, but at $750.oo I'm no longer interested in obtaining that kit.
  3. What a beautiful build of a beautiful car Matti. I don't know how many of those T-Birds I had back-in-the-day when those kits were plentiful, but I don't have any built up right now. I'd be careful about waxing as 1:1 body shops do not recommend waxing before 45 days after painting as it may still be "gassing" out.
  4. Don't let the Bare Metal Foil intimidate you Arnold, as you can do it, trust me. It's a lot better than the way we used to do it and paint the chrome trim by hand. Guys that don't want to do BMF can always build hot rods or Formula 1 cars. Your Mopar is lookin' good.
  5. Really nice build Stephen, what kit did those skirts come from as I'm lookin' for a pair. TIA
  6. Like Art had said, buy your tools on an as-needed basis. I have a compressor and two air brushes that I haven't used in years. I don't have a spray-booth, blow dryer, or a dehydrator and I get along just fine. And yes I'm happy with the way my models turn out.
  7. I have one or two MCW '65 Plymouths in my stash and I heard that Speed City Resin makes a good one as well.
  8. Ditto!
  9. I guess it was about the mid-50's I went to the corner cigar/candy store and bought a model kit (probably a plane) some glue and brought it home and started building it. The rest is history.
  10. I recently finished this Snap-Tite kit of Revell's '34 Ford molded in an awful purple color. LOL! It is box stock other than I added valve stems to the wheels and a license plate. The color is Testors Blazing Orange and the interior is light buckskin w/matt black package tray and blazing orange dash as well. <a href="http://s818.photobucket.com/user/itsagas1320/media/Model%20Cars/DSCN0122_zps92d60982.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i818.photobucket.com/albums/zz104/itsagas1320/Model%20Cars/DSCN0122_zps92d60982.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo DSCN0122_zps92d60982.jpg"/></a> <a href="http://s818.photobucket.com/user/itsagas1320/media/Model%20Cars/DSCN0118_zpsb1904f87.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i818.photobucket.com/albums/zz104/itsagas1320/Model%20Cars/DSCN0118_zpsb1904f87.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo DSCN0118_zpsb1904f87.jpg"/></a>
  11. Sorry to hear of your misfortunes Chris and I hope things get better for you real soon.
  12. Whatsa matter with a black firewall, huh? Of course it is a black car.
  13. Good job! You da man!
  14. My brother-in-law works for Ford Motor Co. and got me the "family discount" on two new Fords. I rarely see or talk to him though.
  15. I'll be gettin' a few sets of those, even though they are a bit pricey.
  16. I LOVE that build and I just got an engine plate for one of those as I'm going to build mine curbside.
  17. I'm still building kits from my "stash" so it doesn't matter if I see any new or re-issued kits in years. You guys must be buildin' one kit a week right??? Buyin' kits only makes you a "spender" and not a modeler.
  18. I started buying at Venture Hobbies back in the mid-70's as well and Don would always support the model clubs too. Of course, so did Al at Al's Hobby Shop in Elmhurst, which I started going to in the early 60's before I started driving.
  19. Next thing ya know Harry, you'll be "dining out" online too.
  20. I have tried Spaz-Stix a few times with good results and have no problems handling the parts afterwards.
  21. That's really not going to happen as they're in the business of selling model kits and not parts.
  22. Looks like a great start on that "gasser" build Bill.
  23. Nice lookin' build and the vinyl top looks great. Green is my favorite color as it is the color of money.
