  1. Sweet little pickup! Nice clean build.
  2. I have no tattoos or piercings. I figure I came into the world with all the holes and markings I needed. I have a dumb phone for work and a dumb flip phone for my own use. I turn the flip phone on about once a month for my trip to the club meeting in Toronto. That's if I remember to turn it on. Then chances are I'll forget to turn it off and the next time I go to use it, it's dead. If I had a choice between the cell phone and the land line I would gladly give up the cell phone. I have a very limited presence on Facebook mainly for my club's page. I'm not a Twit. I have a definite YouTube presence. Which confounds people that I put myself out there but not on any other type of social media. I don't know, I can't explain it myself. Excuse me, I went to Toronto yesterday for a club meeting and I just remembered I forgot to turn my phone off when I got home......
  3. Looking forward to making a trip south to attend this show. Hope to meet a number of people I've met through YouTube as well as other on line model car building forums.
  4. So sorry to hear of Paul's passing. Condolences and prayers to his family and friends.
  5. His resin bodies are excellent. I have a couple and I am impressed with them. And I want to get more wagons as well as the VW kits from him. I look forward to future developments as well.
  6. Yes, Mike, Best Model Car Parts resin kits are top notch. I have the Oldsmobile wagon kit and it's a beaut.
  7. Maybe Revell will give me the 30 Ford pick up I keep hoping for based on the 29/30 tooling? Steve, the Matador seems like a good guess to me.
  8. It might be a bit late if you've left already but I can't guarantee they have any left. Best to phone first. I know mine was the only one Hornet got in.
  9. Chris, Wheels and Wings as well as Hornet Hobbies in Toronto have both had the coupe in. Wheels and Wings got theirs last week and Hornet got one for me this week.
  10. Received issue 201 today. Great issue. A little bit of something for everyone.
  11. Very sharp build of a sports race car.
  12. Look forward to seeing this article. I have my paint manual from the Model A club so I sometimes use that to judge period colours. I look forward to your take on colour choices. Your articles are always well informed.
  13. Ummm.... 57 Ford? 57 Chevy? 57 Olds? 57 Studebaker? 57 Nash?
  14. Not yet although it usually gets up here a little later than the lower 48. I'm hoping it gets here before our postal service goes on strike. But that could happen as early as Monday so I'm not holding my breath.
  15. As I've stated elsewhere my Belvedere body is quite warped. I e-mailed them and even offered to pay for postage as they would have to ship it here to Canada. The response was build the model and if the body is still warped then we'll consider your offer of paying for postage. Not impressed.
  16. Cool mainstream Monza! Nice clean build.
  17. Cool concept! Ready for Baja.
  18. There are so many ways to look at this subject. But ultimately for me it's who am I to tell someone they are having fun wrong? I'm not going to tell Mr Obsessive he shouldn't spend all that time perfecting his models any more than I'm going to tell a builder who's having a great time banging together models that he should stop that and build models the "right" way. In a club I belonged to we had a builder that produced what we might call rough models. But by golly he was having a lot of fun; more fun than those of us who obsessed about mold seams and panel lines and polished paint etc. If he's having tons of fun with his models and I'm shoving mine back in the box cuz I'm not happy with them or constantly purple ponding them, who's enjoying the hobby more? Am I going to tell him he's wrong? That he's having fun wrong? It reminds me of a Big Bang Theory episode where Sheldon complains his new friends are having fun wrong. If I praise someone here perhaps they will be encouraged to stay and maybe they will pick up the positive tips that are being passed on to others. I don't know, like I said many ways to look at the subject.
  19. They have them now but I couldn't get them there when they first came out. I had to get mine while down at Toledo NNL. Sometime after that I finally found one on the shelves at Wheels and Wings.
  20. Good luck, Chris. I had to get my 29s out of the States last year as no one up here seemed to get them. Hopefully we'll have better luck with the 30's.
  21. Chris, I don't know if it's just one person or not but that seems to be the response. After all I even offered to pay the shipping of a new body up here to Canada and I still got the same response. Build it and if it's still warped then we'll consider your offer to pay for shipping. I've eagerly purchased most Moebius kits and multiples of some but I will be reconsidering from now on.
  22. Now that's different! Well done.
  23. Beautiful build! The hobby design wheels really set it off.
  24. Wow! Very nice conversion to an 11 window Samba. Job well done.
