I actually did complain in regards to the endless celebrity obits and the silly pointless games. I've participated occasionly but it does wear thin after a while. Does one no good , the standard answer is just ignore it. Thats why I ask how to filter out that clutter so I can read the topics I'm interested in.

The point is we are having a discussion. Doubt like buttons and emojis would allow us to communicate that well. Exactly. Although I'm not a fan of the like button. However knowing who's made a comment adds relevance. If its a shortcut it simply has no meaning without identifying made the "comment". Would it make sense to block the identity when writing comments?

I just tried that and it works. Will create several streams. Just want to eliminate the clutter so I can spend the time reading what interests me .

Dave I would agree with you if one would know who reacted because it would be a shortcut. Unfortunately the way its been implemented its not a meaningful shortcut. However even with the feedback I still rather have real comments so on I know whos commenting. I also think that the software needs to quote without all the pictures or be able to select. I think that we get the quotes with all the pictures because. its a pain to edit them out of a quote.

Hey its more important to add rockets to our avatars than to make the site easier to use.

I agree in a majority of the cases once you've seen the commercials once they just aren't that funny after that. However walter the cat is entertaing and viewable more than once. I wonder how many cats were used to film it. And how much was cgi. I thought it was interesting. My brother-in-law and I saw one of those commercials for those tail gates when they first came. I was shaking my head at of the complexity and so many parts to break. My brother-in-law laughed and said wait till somebody decides to haul a load of gravel and gums up the works.

Haven't had a good laugh in awhile. Unfortunately its another link in the chain of dumbing down society. The like button is a joke . Its hard to believe that the current implementation makes it more so. Finally on the side of being efficient let's all just grunt and make odd noises. We are communicating in a fashion , its immaterial that the other person can not understand us.

Recently I've been seeing banner ads for extremely high wrist watchs. Several for $1.8 and $1.3 million. Boy they definitely don't understand the market for modelers. Please share any ads you find entertaing in this thread.

Dan that is a great video. A couple of observations. The times for when the paint can be recoated depends on the manufacturer. Different paint has different formulas which can require different recoat times. Violating the recoat times can lead to a disappointment ie the paint may wrinkle. With painting there are no true one size fits all instructions.

I agree. A friend of my had the white in decals react to the clear he used(I believe it was Tamiya) The best advice is to test. You need to use some of the exact decals and test those with your final clear coat mix. You need to try several ratios of clear to thinner mix. You want to add enough thinner to allow the clear to flow but you want to avoid making the mix too thin. By testing you will find what works for you. Also test the lacquer paint mix both clear and final color on the sprue from the kit you are building to make sure you don't craze the plastic. Testing is the only way to know precisely if you are going to have issues. Although others may make suggestions as to say mix ratios there are too many variables that can cause disappointment. Test, test, test. There is no substitute for testing. There are no short cuts if you want to accomplish good results.

Actually Jenn does have airbrush experience , she has had her fingernails airbrushed numerous time and is an expert.

Although scale auto is gone Kalmbach is still in business. If someone publishes the contents of the scale auto dvd there is going to be legal consequences. Better to petition kalmbach to put the dvd back on sale.

You can use 91 percent alcohol to strip testors and other hobby paints. It will not damage the plastic. To be safe you can always test first. If you try to sand you will lose detail and you will also fill the door lines. As to decanting paint be careful. Given your challenges I would avoid is method that requires punturing the can. You may injure yourself and no doubt make a huge mess. Finally painting does not fix flaws it magnifies them. The secret to a quality paint job is surface prep. Your foundation for a good paint job is a good smooth defect free surface. There are no shortcuts.

You really need to ask questions like this before you try them. You were lucky you did not redecorate the kitchen when you put tge can in scalding water. The hot water for warming cans should be no hotter than what you can put your hand it.
