  1. Yep you are gonna need to use flat plastic....can't think of any good alternative. Hope this helps..
  2. I'm looking forward to Tamiya's new 1936 Toyota sedan coming next month....yes really.
  3. The new kit appears to have a set of "kidney bean" Halibrands? If so, that is a great choice! This kit looks great...hope we see it sometime "soon".....
  4. Very nice!
  5. You're right I should have blown up the pic before posting...thanks.
  6. This has a different engine/trans,wheels,radiator shell, body and (probably)interior. Only the frame(s) and chassis appear to be the same.
  7. Is that the "mystery" piece of plastic (roof filler) from the early pics of the roadster parts?. The 30-31 body is ok with me...
  8. It would be nice if Revell would keep it's customers up to date (like Moebius) they have several venues to choose from...
  9. That doesn't seem to be much of a problem....thanks for clearing it up Dave.
  10. On the Hudson thread a poster says he likes his very much...no mention of any "texture" issues. Could this happen to only one kit? Seems a little unlikely....
  11. Huh? Maybe you could try to be a bit clearer in describing your "problem" with the kit?
  12. It's the same kit this thread has been about....the very same.
  13. IF you buy it and find it to be in "horrible" condition, you could simply return it. As others have said, it's a nice kit from the 60's, just don't expect much detail in the chassis or under the hood.
  14. This seems like someone's idea of a joke....perhaps a fairly expensive one at that.
  15. PERFECT!
  16. Same width...on 1 - 1s
  17. Giant difference....from light grey to light blue! I prefer the blue.
  18. I used the AMT knock-offs on the Tamiya wheels. With 1/8 Evergreen tubing to space them away from the hub and the knock-offs "snap" on just right. Looks good to my eye on black wheels,no hub rivets tho someone with a steadier hand could likely make the rivets with tiny drops of epoxy...but I can live with that "error" on mine.
  19. I'm pretty sure the crank was in case of battery/starter failure...not a "trim" level kinda thing.
  20. It looks exactly the same to me...in another shot (from this weekend) it still has the too tall bumper guards too. Most likely it's the same model?
  21. Tamiya's next classic is...... a 1936 Toyota AA...the first Toyota sedan. Due in June.
  22. 5 days....it would have been less if I lived near a major airport. I live in rural Nothern California.
  23. Thanks Dave.
  24. Looks great...when will we see the other version?
