  1. You can expect a modern AMT kit that looks/builds just fine. It is NOT a reissue of the original 1967 annual.
  2. There have been two Monogram 3 windows.. .the one pictured above and a "modified" first version 32 roadster into a coupe body that was just awful. It has a chevy motor and steelies n caps vs. Americans and a small block Ford in the "good" kit.
  3. If you liked the 5 windows, you'll like the 3 window. Same chassis, small block ford with an auto and very nice American 5 spokes. Revell has a 2door sedan, 2 roadsters and a "custom" woody in addition to the 5 windows..all based on the same basic tooling. Monogram also made a 3 window back in the eighties that was terrible...avoid that one. The Lindberg 32 is junk IMO, I wouldn't bother with that one either.
  4. There's only one.. the Revell 32 which is basically the same as those 5 windows (unless they were AMTs) you've already built. The revell 32's are much nicer than the old AMTs.
  5. YES! I want one of those...too. There's a brief report on the "new" one that Toyota made on Leno's site.
  6. PLease note.... Car Kit News & Reviews New kits, old kits, reissued kits-opinions, thoughts, comments, and maybe a little bit of history thrown in.. .is this kit news or a review of a kit?
  7. "BTW, Road Runner is spelled ROAD RUNNER... not GTX! ^_^" Odd comment for one who talked about "67-70" Road Runners.... oh you deleted that and the "unbuildable" comment from your original...hmmmmmm.
  8. Scott...Modelhaus showes the T-265 tires come with his complete 2nd series (ie65-69) Corvair kits.
  9. Scott...try Modelhaus # T-265 or T-260 13 inch narrow whitewalls .
  10. "Well, here we go again... answers are pouring in getting intensely heated up about symantics..." Really? "intensely heated" about symantics {sic}? Maybe if YOU were a bit clearer.....those responses might be "better". Think about it......
  11. There never was a 67 Roadrunner .....is your AMT kit too complicated for you? The JoHan 69 Roadrunner is both easier to build and better looking, but they can be expensive. The Modelhaus has repopped the kit in a "promo" style (offfers a six-pak version too) but it too is expensive. I wouldn't expect to see a "new" Roadrunner kit...and most of the other "muscle cars" of that era have been already been modeled.
  12. Got mine today! Looks great, and it's bigger than the AMT as Tim said, but looks so much better to my eyes. The Rudge knock-offs look a bit oversized on the AMT wheels but just fine on the Tamiya to me. The Amt wheels have five "lugs" (which appears to be "wrong" for Rudges) and the Tamiya's have none. My wheels will be gloss black so the detail that's "missing" shouldn't matter much (I hope). I'm really looking forward to building this kit....and seeing the ones the rest of you will be building.
  13. Time to just wait for the Ford to come out....
  14. I think shipping is based on the weight of the kit....they (HLJ) couldn't quote a shipping cost until the weight of the Merc was known.
  15. I can be patient now that I know it's coming for sure (and it's gonna be cheap too) . Thanks for the info provided by you "experienced" HLJ customers.
  16. I guess I can wait another week. ...thanks!
  17. I nearly gave up on 'em five minutes EARLY... now it's paid for and I can hardly wait to build it!
  18. I just paid for it! I guess I just got too excited?
  19. I ordered mine on Feb. 5th and today I see a notice on the HLJ site that the kit is "back ordered" and will not be available for another 4-6 weeks! Anybody know of a more "responsive" source than HLJ? Or should I just wait for a USA source?
  20. Mercedes-Benz 300 SL - クーペ・スポーツカー - プラモデル ..
  21. Thanks...I'm gonna try this, it looks so much better.
