I couldn't be happier to hear our concerns about the body proportions were unfounded....looking forward to building this Pontiac.
Thanks for the followup Dave
I thought it was apropriate to share perceptions of the new Pontiac....if nothing is wrong with the "size" of the body... that's great. However I would think Dave and company are interested in their customer's perceptions of their products. Dave didn't seem upset about the wheel or c-pillar comments and he seems confident that the body is OK. Frankly Gerry your "I'm not going to do this again" response seems a bit odd. If the "camera" distorted the appearance of the model, maybe the easiest way to fix that problem would be for Dave to take some photos that don't "distort" the kit? My comments were meant to be helpful not insulting and I assume that is the case with the others who raised concerns....
Look at the difference between Gerry's pic and Mike's....note the relationship between the backlite and the rear wheelwells, doesn't match to my eye.
The rear end seems too long, reminds me of the Trumpeter 60 Pontiac. I sure hope I'm wrong.....
I rented one of these cars(a real one) a few months ago...it was very nice but the heater fan was very loud (even on low) kinda strange given how nice everyhing else was.
just like all the 1-1 big block powered road racers on tiny wheels and street tires I guess...
.even though the "race" version is little more than a joke, the rest of it looks pretty nice.
Maybe future versions will be better thought out?
The "racer" version just looks silly to me....tiny wheels, hoop roll bar and a big block are not the pieces that make up a road racer.
I'm more surprised than disappointed though. about how wrong they got it...
