  1. thanks for the suggestions...The thread idea is promising...sounds pretty "safe" too.
  2. Thanks....that's the plan for now.
  3. Gotcha.....it's the inside of the windshield frame that concerns me..perhaps more than it should. I was lucky this person was so careful and conservative with glue. I look forward to seeing your Merc...
  4. It's a 62 annual...the 'frame isn't separate. The glue is probably 50+ years old. I'll try the freezing method...carefully. thanks.
  5. None of the "prisoners" ever saw her wash the car until they saw the movie....none of the cast was present when the scene was filmed, extras were seen in the backrounds. for what its worth.
  6. That's the plan so far...but painting the inside of the windshield frame might look odd given the thickness of the glass. Or I could just polish the very nice white plastic and foil the trim...But I'm having trouble getting "excited" about a white Tbird.
  7. An AMT 1962 T-bird convertible in the oringinal box. Assembled stock, never painted, only the engine and windshield glued....looks brand new. The glass was very neatly, but solidly glued in at the base/cowl. Any fool-proof ways of removing the windshied without damaging it?
  8. I like the variety of cars shared here....I'm not really a fan of stock "muscle" cars, but the thread titles usually "warn" you what's been posted and we can all choose what we wanna look at. Modern cameras combined with the lighting on the computer screen makes for great pictures (usually). Posts with poor pictures really stand out now, I don't bother with them. Your most recent project seemed to interest a few people.....why'd you quit building tanks?
  9. I'm looking foward to the products from Norm at RMof M(?) he has already got a great selection of hot rod parts with excellent quality and fair prices...I just wish he was a larger producer,I'd love to just pickup his stuff at the local hobby shop.
  10. Now what we need is a nice set of skinny Kelsey wire wheels....I know there's a nice aftermarket set but they're too pricey for me.. monogram makes some excellent wires for the Miami-Vice "Ferrari" so I think they can do it...Tamiya makes some great ones too for the Jag and the Morgan. maybe with a nice little V8 engraved 'hubcap?
  11. 3 things bothered me about these Chevy kits....the square edges on the front fenders, the metal tranfers for the Fleetline trim and the wings on the bumpers...I'm guessing they'll still be present on the coupe...but I hope not.
  12. I'm virtually certain there were at least 2 types of rear bumper guards...Ford made lots of sedans n 'wagons (and Ranchero's) and Fairlanes even had thier own rear bumpers, tho I don't recall if they had bumper guards, if they did that would make 3 types. Trim choices/models were quite broad back then. I hope Revell just corrects the ones shown before.
  13. Very nice.....I must of seen one just like it back in the day a lot, it looks very familar. Probably a nieghbor owned one.
  14. Looks great....
  15. I only wanted 'em smaller...not gone all together. I hope Revell just "corrects" 'em, not removes 'em.
  16. Another great review Tim....but that car did nothing for me then and even less now..but to those of you who are pleased by it's return, ENJOY!
  17. 74 degrees in February, everything blooming...side effect of our ongoing drought. Not good.
  18. BMF looks much better on a smooth surface too......
  19. Is there a hood included in the new kit?
  20. What front bumper did you use? truck loooks great!
  21. Thanks re: the top question...I think the 1-1 has a metal (or fiberglass) retractable top set up....looks like a little 3 window coupe with the top up,kinda neat looking.
  22. My source says March....nothing more specfic.
